*Equine Assisted Coaching:
Individual sessions are $155 for 60 minutes.*
All equine sessions utilize experiential and interactive learning assisted by horses in a safe fun interactive environment. No horse or riding experience required. The sessions may include activities such as observing equines from across a fence; discussing herd behaviour or equine psychology, grooming, simple leading exercises, liberty (equal ratio of horses to people), basic riding as well as present moment and body awareness activities.
My method of Coaching draws from a combination of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Techniques), Mindful-Awareness Practices, Strengths-Based Perspective, Reflective Inquiry and Somatic techniques. These techniques empower coaching clients to recognize self-sabotage, reprogram their own mind, master emotions, and discover how to 'respond' to life from an aware, whole, and fully present place. With this gained self-awareness, clients can learn to set attainable goals, gain confidence and ultimately become the masters of their own lives.
Coaching will be a fit for you if you are wanting change in your life.
History
Established in 2017.
I was drawn to the majestic beauty and nurturing nature of the horse very early in my life in New Zealand. I got my first pony at 7 years old, and over the years I created strong bonds with all my horses, completing Pony Club C+ certification levels, and collecting many ribbons in the world of competition until my late teens.
My professional career in graphic design in television led me to work in Vancouver, Canada. I learned of a program at a private school that supports youth with emotional regulation/behavioural issues and how they care for horses once a week, learning skills in empathy and leadership. I wanted to bring this wonderful gift of horses to others. I completed a Professional Life Coaching Diploma and got certified as a Therapeutic Horsemanship instructor with CanTRA, and started studying natural horsemanship.
My goal is to provide a safe haven for learning about our-selves through experiential equine interactions to grow into our most brilliant passionate selves.
