Awesome. The type of care my buddies and I gave the horses was fun. The experience was fun, and the bonding with the horses was amazing.

They just put babies in containers and hope parents arent going to call them out for unsafe practices. Even after i spoke with the director who assured me this wouldnt happen again, twice the third day they had him sleeping in a rocker intentionally immediately after eating. How a daycare doesnt know about SIDs and positional asphyxiation is beyond me. And they placed my 3 month old in an activity center he isnt old enough for and said "its for core strength". Literally google when you can use activity centers and it gives the guidance that the child needs to be able to sit up on their own. We got a full refund and the owner admitted fault but that doesnt make up for putting my child at risk.

To be honest, I was very disappointed with my experience at Kids Co-op…read more My daughter is still only in preschool, so I didn't expect too much to begin with. But since I just moved to the area, I thought it was important to enroll my little one in something where she could make new friends locally. I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for some good exercise, learning to follow multiple-step instructions, learning about thinking positively/feeling a sense of achievement, healthy eating, etc. But none of my hopes came to fruition at all. (And I know what I was looking for wasn't over-the-top, because I've seen this sort of positive environment before at a different location, and also experienced it myself at my adult trapeze class.) - After 6 classes, the coach NEVER introduced herself to me. I learned her name the last day because I asked. She also never introduced the kids to one another. My daughter only learned the names of any other kids because when week 3 rolled around and I asked her who her favourite friends were at the class, she couldn't tell me any names. I said, "Oh, well go introduce yourself! Just say, 'My name is X, what's your name?'" She left the class with 4 names that day. When you're in gymnastics, isn't one of the biggest goals to develop a good team mentality? How did the kids go un-introduced the entire time they practiced and played together? - I only knew the name of the receptionist/business owner because of a purchase confirmation. She never said hello when we came into the building. She DEFINITELY never asked if my daughter was enjoying the class. She never apologized after a scheduling mix-up. She spoke poorly to me of her own daughter right in front of her, in a facility that supposedly is supposed to encourage kids to have a good self-image. Put a bad taste in my mouth, for sure. Her kid wasn't even much older than mine. - Apparently, parents were supposed to receive a progress update every couple weeks, but, like I said, the coach never so much as introduced herself. - They sell soda, cookies, chips, and other junk food as a snack for after a class that's supposed to promote good health. - Dust is caked on everything. There are these huge vents that are painted jewel-toned primary colours, which you can see from beneath, but even so, you can't see through the dust on the top halves of the tubes. At first, I thought that only the bottom halves were painted! - The bathrooms are always gross. I didn't feel comfortable getting my daughter changed for class in there. - The coach is nice enough to the kids, but isn't able to give any of the kids any sort of individual attention due to there being too many kids per class. Since they do activities in "rotations", the coach will often be distracted by a single activity while the kids wander to the other rotations without instruction. Typically, the kids watch whichever kid is in front of them for direction. The only reasons I have to NOT rate it 1 star are: because my daughter had fun there, anyway; because it seems like the competition classes have more skillful coaches; and because a lot of kids benefit from the activity days there, where at least they're socializing instead of being parked in front of a TV. I don't suggest enrolling your 3-4 year old there.

Everything was interactive and modern with just enough text and things to immerse myself in to keep my attention. I especially loved that there are live animals I can see including otters! Some of the fish seemed a bit crammed in their tanks. :/ And I was excited to see the live animal reveal...but it was a cold day and this happened on the upstairs pavillion outside so, being a California guy who had checked my coat in the free coat check lockers, it was too cold for me to stick with it. There were all kinds of heaters out there that weren't on which would have made a big difference to me (or anyone who gets cold easily) had they turned those on. I was there with a group of ten with adults and kids ranging from 4-16. Everyone had a good time and had plenty to do and interact with.

My first daughter had a relatively positive experience when she was in elementary school and is doing well in the high school currently. However, my youngest has had a very negative experience with one teacher in particular: Mr. Yerrington. She had him last year and he was horribly abrasive, rude, and discouraging toward her exploration of her education. She has struggled with self esteem issues with both her ability to speak spanish and engagement in the classroom since. We tried to talk to Moravian about it, but they brushed it off, as they do most things. Be aware of this when selecting MA as your childs future school.

From a parent of a student who attends MA: MA provides a first-rate education. The strength of this…read moreschool is the teachers and three strong administrators, the backbone of MA: the head of the Lower School[preK-5], head of Middle School[ grades 6-8] and The head of the Upper School [grades 9-12]. This school sets a foundation that allows its students to transition easily into highly selective colleges and universities. A higher percentage of students get accepted into highly selective schools versus any counterpart high school in the area. This is also due to MA's college counselor who does a tremendous job matching a student's profile with the right college. Study habits are honed in MA's middle schoool and further tuned in Upper School. MA has very strong math and science teachers. Language and other non-math/science instructors were also very good. I do not recall any unflattering comments about any educator in the school regarding subject matter. All kids complain about something, but never got any negative feedback on educator competence. Also, theatre and performing arts are featured with showcase events that reveal talents of students, a tribute to MA staff, students, and those who organize these events. Other aspects: -Some MA parents can get a bit tiresome. Imagine the NY Times Weekend Style section, or the social pages showing adults mugging for photos at some self-serving fundraiser. Now conjur up in your mind a very low-end junior varsity version of that--think of a Saturday Night Live skit. -MA has turned out its share of athletes that go on to play in D1 programs in college, mostly field hockey players over the past 10 years. However, MA sports could be supported a little better financially, and with encouraged attendance. MA's athletic director--who did a great job--retired. Hopefully the new AD will get more support from the school and sports won't be de-emphasized. All in all, I could not have asked for a better educational outcome for my daughter.
