No, they don't deal with models of the catwalk or editorial variety but are a wonderful throwback to the days of kids making things.They stock different kinds of models but the ones evoking the strongest memories for me are the Airfix models where I struggled to make sense of the flimsy instructions, sandpapered the plastic parts to perfection, glued them together before painstakingly painting them. Happy days indeed. They also stock parts for model railways though they don't have the largest selection in the shop. Their window displays are also quite impressive with one of a behemoth of a rail-transported German World War 2 artillery gun.

They have a great selection covering board games, RPGs (including some wonderful indie titles as well as a lot of D&D), tactics games, and hobby supplies. I had a lovely conversation with Winter while I killed time before a show. I own a game store in the US and they gave me lots of ideas for new things to try! There was a great mix of popular titles and more niche ones, all at reasonable prices.

The store is an Aladdin's cave of treasures. This isn't those Warhammer type games, no Orcs and Goblins will be found here. Instead, these are the proper toy soldiers from a vast array of eras. They are set up in displays, although the vast majority are for sale. The only downside is that it gets a bit warm in here during the summer, but frankly the awesomeness of it all is well worth it. If you're in the Buckingham Palace area with your kids, then I worth popping in just for a look around - at speed you could do it in two minutes, but I'm pretty sure you'll want to stay longer.

They also pointed out that some of the best pilots in the world are women, so i didn't have any negativity at all being a women myself! I have returned there many times and am now a regular thanks to my slowly improving flying skills.

i went into the shop to buy a radio controlled helicopter as a present for my brother. the guy that…read moreserved me was virtually persuading me not to buy one because i was a woman (he even said to me '' helicopters are really a mans thing'') this i felt was very sexist considering it was for my brother and not for me (although i didnt tell him that it was a present) This is not very good customer relations and i think they need to undersatnd that women can buy things men buy, like a real car, watches, jewellery, dvds..do i need to go on. I cannot rate this shop at all, i find their attitude arogant and rather disturbing. i would not recommend this shop to anybody unless i loathed them (but some of the helicopters did look rather nice even through the eyes of a woman), and could quite see the attraction to them THEY DEFINATLEY WONT GET ANY OF MY MONEY.
