They called the day of the appointment to confirm the time for the day, called on their way. Showed up with their crew and cleared it all in about 1.5 hours. I had Epperson's take down a pine that was hit by lightning and a large oak. The cost was very competitive. I was more than impressed by the accuracy of where the pine was dropped whole. While the crew trimmed up the pine, the oak was trimmed with a climb. After the oak was down, the wood was cut to length for burning outside. The crew did an excellent job cleaning up the driveway. As I watched the whole process, I couldn't help but notice how efficient the operation was with limited communication between all of them. The whole operation was very fluid with obvious safety procedures. I plan to have Epperson's do additional work at our place and give them my highest recommendation. read more

These folks continue to do a great job for us. It can be nerve-wracking to have big trees taken down, but with Epperson, no worries. I watched them strategize over a huge poplar, then get to it, and it fell exactly where it should have with no damage to its surroundings. Power losses here invariably relate to downed trees and there were some in the yard that concerned me. Two companies looked at the property. One took photos, tagged trees needing trimming or being taken down and left a written estimate. That choice wasn't too hard to make. By agreement, their team beat the scheduled appointment by a day, did the complete job in about an hour and left the yard looking better than what they found. Their professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and consideration for the trees and for what I wanted done all sold me completely. These guys were efficient, affordable, and worked with my timeline! I bought an old house that needed TLC, has seamed gutters sagging from tree debris, and 5 trees that tower over the house and occasionally drop limbs. One of the local gutter installers told me that the owner is an arborist and I have to say that his employees also have that sensibility. They have several crews, which was good for me because I was on a timeline (appraisal for refi). Communication between all team members was excellent and the quote details were specific (and there were pictures!). The guy who generated the quote (sorry that I can't remember your name but you were great!) explained to me that the trees hadn't been pruned properly and that is why they were dropping dead limbs, not that the trees were so compromised that they needed to be cut down. So, all five got a nice deep pruning back off the house. I got 3 quotes from several tree services recommended on nextdoor. This one was the cheapest. They were in an out in maybe 2 hours! We had a huge pine in the front yard that was talking about falling on our house. Bruce from Epperson's came out to quote an estimate and said, getting out of his car, I like your Snoopy...and then proceeded to show us why this tree needed to come down. It was starting to rot at the bottom from ants and bugs. I have never witnessed such a coordinated crew. Together with the crane, the tree man with the chain saw, and the giant wood chipper and the extras on the ground to sweep up, the whole operation took one hour and twenty minutes. I was referred to Epperson by a friend. They were very professional from phone call to get a estimate until the job was done. The trees were totally removed from the stump down to the last twigs with very little damage to the yard, I was very impressed. I would have gave more stars on review but was limited to five. I would like to also tell the largest tree was a oak stump that measure 5'5" by 6'2" it was about 45' from my house. Great Job to all their employees.
