I called after several weeks and he promised he'd have the problem diagnosed within the next couple days and call me back. Several additional weeks went by and I called again with the same response, and then once more a few weeks later- a total of 2 months of wait time without any progress or evidence that anything was done at all. I eventually gave up and got my laptop back myself to look at. Googling my error messages indicated that my RAM was faulty, and after replacing the RAM (a 15-minute procedure), my laptop works fine. It took me ~30 minutes of total active time to troubleshoot and solve this problem that I had previously waited 2 months for the owner to fix. I'd guess that Alex was overcommitted with fixing other machines to focus on mine, which is fine if he told me a realistic estimate (i.e. "I'm really busy right now, but check back in a month and I'll give you an update). Instead I got drip-fed inaccurate timeline estimates. Overall, I find it difficult to reccomend going to this business to get your problem fixed unless you have a really easy software issue to diagnose/fix on the spot.

Since I recently moved cross-country to Chicago, I am in need for office furniture. I went with my husband hoping to find a office chair or some furniture to use until my furniture arrives via Pod in a few months. Anyway they allowed (1) free piece of furniture and also was selling preused furniture for $39 and $99 bucks. We really lucked out. My husband found a big chair for our living room for free. We purchased a huge book case for my office. In addition to these pieces, we found a rolling ottoman and a side table. We were thrilled with our finds. This wharehouse is open to the public and had a floor dedicated to sale/clearance items and a bunch of new items too. The prices seemed reasonable on the new items too. Checkout website for items currently on sale. I would like to shout-out Mark (owner) and Junior for having awesome customer service. Junior helped me with approximating how many yards of fabric I would need to reupholster the chair that we got for free. Oh yes, I failed to mentioned they have lots of fabric for sale. At the event the fabric was only $5 a yard. Such a deal. Mad props to this business. *only furnishing for my temporary housing for now but will look to this business for my more permanent home in the near future* Would add photos of finds but waiting delivery. I found that Mike was competent, efficient and trust worthy. Since this HP is a large printer, Mike would come to pick it up, repair it in a timely manner and then deliver it back to me. I just had a repair today and met his technician, Leon. He fixed the machine, pointed out some parts that may need repair/replacement and promised to provide me a quote. If I want to keep this relic, I definitely also want to keep Mike, Leon and Glenview Office Equipment.

Each time, the owner said he was not in the office, call me back later. I called back and the owner said he was busy and couldn't tell me about the shredder. This went on and finally, February 2020 I called and the owner said, "I don't know anything about your shredder and anyway, we're not responsible for anything left for more than 90 days. And we've moved." I am so upset, first of all because he never said anything about 90 days when I took the shredder in, and secondly, I called every month to check on the status, and obviously, he never even looked at the shredder. Our sales representative actually listened to our concerns about our 'worst fear' of being down entirely and what it would mean to us. Instead of just assuring us service would be fast, he came up with a low cost, creative solution that none of the other representatives even considered (plus, of course, we understand that service is fast). When they installed the copier, we had some issues with our networking and it took far longer than they could have estimated to get it done - working online and on the phone with my office's (only semi-competent) IT consulting company. [We are in the process of changing IT companies, but it has not yet been done]. KKC representatives did not complain or talk of possible extra charges due to the unexpected complications that it turns out were not caused by them. After the install was done, they took the extra step of making sure the copier was successfully connected to each of my office's computers. While doing so, they discovered that two of my computers were running extremely slow - for reasons entirely unrelated to the copier installation. Instead of ignoring them or just telling us there was a problem, they determined that some kind of 'network switch' was failing, and offered to obtain and install a replacement for us. Within 30 minutes it was done, and we were charged only for the purchased part. I feel like we are now in good hands with people we can trust. I know it is not only the copier itself, as we have had four Canon copiers over the last 20+ years. KKC made this the smoothest transition to a new copier yet, and I feel more secure than I did with the other companies.

Not too thrilled with my Zeaport experience so far…read more I wanted to buy a copier/printer for a small business that works with schools. It was going to replace a hp 11x17 that had been a workhorse (over 400,00 prints) but had finally died. Xerox machine was delivered. The invoice stated that it was a better model than it actually was. Turned the thing on and it copied fine. In the upcoming days I couldn't get it to scan to my computer no matter how hard I tried. The suggestion was to read the manual and set it up. I wonder why I didn't try that in the first place. A week or two after getting the printer, there was a big yellow bar that started printing on the side of the page. Looks like errant toner. I emailed and was told to swap around the drums. That didn't fix things. Next, the printer would randomly chunk a bunch of black toner all over the back side of pages...in addition to the yellow on the front. The solution from Zeaport was to get new toner and pull some cleaner levers. By this point I'm fairly frustrated that Zeaport doesn't care enough to follow up on their sale. After two weeks away without using the printer and two new toner cartridges this thing is printing horribly. Now I'm asked to pay $150 for someone to come look at this 'technician refurbished' machine that has only made a couple hundred prints and has problems immediately after delivery. Maybe this is the way that they get people to buy maintenance contracts. I didn't a 'technician certified refurbished' machine would be a P.O.S. right away. I'll update this after the technician takes a look at this and gives me an update. For now I'd tell anyone to avoid buying from Zeaport or to get a solid warranty or expectation of quality for the machine you get. At a minimum this equipment should work for 60-90 days without falling apart.

This is a solid family-run business, and they are the essence of going above and beyond. After the heavy storms last weekend, our printer conked out (that's a technical term!). We had purchased an annual maintenance/service agreement in addition to the printer itself, and it really came in handy. I rang Nicole, the owner, and she herself came to see what was up with our unit. It took a day but it is now up and running, no charge of course, and she even worked with our IT department (located in NY) to get everything set up and reconfigured. Going above and beyond. And, advice: choose the service agreement... it is a reasonable price to pay for less headaches. Excellent customer service and solid technical knowledge. Highly recommended.
