On more than one occasion at pick up they were understaffed and over child:teacher ratio. I witnessed kids running amok and getting injured with not enough staff to handle the chaos. What ultimately led us to leave was the MULTIPLE occasions of my child coming home with bite marks that went unnoticed and unreported by staff, dirty diapers/clothes with poop left on them, and poor cleanliness of the facility. I had to pull my kid out as it didn't feel like a safe place for him any longer, which is so sad because they had some really great teachers and it hadn't started out that way. The new owners seemed in over their heads, and full of empty promises but then refused to make necessary changes and on were rude and disrespectful to their employees.

And the kids are constantly engaged in activities that help them learn and grow in their own ways. We have also bee extremely grateful for Whizz Kids accommodating our sons allergies and dietary needs. They have also been doing and excellent job with the COVID-19 pandemic with taking precautions to keep everyone safe and secure during this uncertain time. I am so happy to have found this place. I feel that Whizz Kids is an extension of my home: a supportive atmosphere where children are loved and nurtured. Learning there is hands on and creative. Lesson plans are organized and aptly communicated to us as parents. Additionally, we are able to see pictures of our children online via a secure website as they engage in various activities throughout the day--this is a welcome repreive from work as it makes me feel more connected to my kids! Professionally, I manage a group of clinicians who provide care to seniors, not fundamentally unlike a Childcare/Pre-School, just working with people at the other end of life. Finding the quality people who are caring, responsible, educated and professional is a difficult and never ending task. I can confidently say that St. Alphonsus is nothing like that review. It's gone through many changes including a new principal and vice principal who are deeply committed to the well-being and growth of the school. St. Alphonsus has a half-day preschool class and two full-day preschool classes which shows how much this school is growing! St. Al's is diverse and welcoming of all religions and family dynamics. There have been many positive changes over the years leading to the beautiful school it has become!

My daughter loves both Teacher Jessica and Teacher Jan. Her face lights up when we talk about preschool days and she cheers "There's my school!" the moment we pull into the parking lot. From a grown up point of view, I have found invaluable support on parenting challenges from teachers and other parents. The teacher led discussion topics are educational and relevant. It's been wonderful to meet other parents. From the first time I walked in the school I felt it was a magical place - it truly has been for my family.
