Horrible experience in Jurgens office. Came for the appointment and was shacked to see the waiting room being totally full of people. For my question if all these people are scheduled ahead of me, the receptionist said that's actually not all, the exam rooms are filled with patients too. It would of take several hours of waiting before my turn would be that day. I spoke to their business manager who came up with an exuces and shamelessly lied to me that they don't know ahead what is the reason for visit people are coming to see the doctor for. Not true, they ask this questions when you schedule your appointment and know the reason of your visit. I asked why they didn't call me being so much behind so I would not miss the hours of work and they said that they never call. Disrespectful and careless about others, hunting for big money only! I called in ahead of time before my appointment to find out how much time I should take and they told me it could be as quick as 15 minutes. I let my work know I had an appointment nearby (five minutes away) and I arrived to my appointment with a couple minutes to spare. I did all my paperwork the night before online, so I was ready for this to be a smooth experience. I literally waited in the exam room with my shirt off for a full hour (mind you... Yes, on my lunch break). I had to use the bathroom and I only half ate my lunch beforehand in the car... Well guess what I could have done in all that time that I was waiting? Finally I couldn't take it and I just asked to use the bathroom and even after that, still weren't ready. By the time Dr. Jurgen finally saw me, it was over an hour. I don't know how she could have been so late because she spent all of 4 minutes with me. It wasn't even any kind of dialogue or a conversation, because if she gave me a moment to speak or ask, I could have told her I have already tried most of the medications/creams she prescribed. I had hoped my experience here would be different because the dermatologist I have seen in the past were part of big health systems. I was deeply disappointed to get literally the same treatment (pun intended) from a small private practice. There was an in office treatment as well and she disappeared for another 20 minutes, which I could not believe at all that they would continue to be outrageously disrespectful of me and my time. Worst of all there was no apology for the lateness. Good luck being treated like a human being with things to do and places to be around here. Since the doctor was in and out in just a few minutes, I wasn't able to ask the doctor to take a look at one more thing. I've had it looked at before (was told it was benign) but it had grown and changed shape (which I wasn't given but a moment to mention). I asked the nurse if the doctor could potentially come back and take a peek. The nurse so rudely responded that it was nothing/benign "but I'll let the doctor tell you that." What the ever living hell. I've been nothing but nice, patient, and polite up to this point.... How dare this nurse have the gall to give me such a horrible, awful and disgusting attitude?! For what reason!?! What the heck could've been done to these people in the hour and a half I spent alone in a waiting room, showing up on time and only taking a five minutes of the doctors time. Seems like some people have good experiences and I just don't know what you need to do to get them. Went in for a simple issue of some itching spots on my back. The PA burnt off a couple of spots and then suggested I come back for a full exam of my whole body. I booked the appt and then started thinking, "They weren't busy. I was the only person in the place. Why not take care of it right then?" The reason... $$$. Another co-pay. Another insurance invoice. The receptionist said I had to have it for my appointment so I left and came back at 12:12 they lied and said I was 20 minutes late and refused to allow me to be seen. Epiphany dermatology was not even worth the first visit. Basically, the dermatologist just glances at you with her eyes and writes a prescription. They don't have special tools for optical observation, the don't have computer Ai to analyze symptoms, the claimed they could do biopsies but only if they see clearly what they want to biopsy. Basically, if it's hasn't grown into a clear to see problem they aren't interested. Even the lighting wasn't good. They didn't have the laser tech they told me they had, and they don't have most laser technologies in the market today. If you are looking for a dermatologist office that hasn't made any real investments into 21st century technologies and doesn't care, but still plans to charge you insane money for literally nothing. This is your place. Might as well go to your family doctor because they probably have a better chance at diagnosis and can prescribe without having to pay ridiculous prices. I went to Epiphany dermatology in tears I've been having skin problems with my arms which are covered in scars and very scarred that woman told me I was getting older and that I need to stop scratching my skin and gave me some dove body soap I've tried everything she did not do anything to help me I ended up going to another doctor and I have pre-cancer skin lesions she did not even recognize them so now I've already got all types of things going on that now they're gonna have to treat that had she told me then could've already been treated by now do not go to this place they do not care there was two people there and I'll wait an hour and a half I will never go back there read more

Was a patient of Kuykendal for four vists She came across as friendly but i quickly learned she likes her victims compliant. The first visit i was given a paper gown. The tech was in the room when she knocked and came over looking me in the eyes she firmly shook my hand. Off to a good start - or so i thought. She then brought in a doctor who was graduating and said "I told her you wouldn't mind if she sat in today". Now I'm a show and looptell. I was being seen for psorisis with it being on my scalp and it was on my flank from front to back. It was embarassing to say the least. It was a jailhouse or prison search with the only thing missing was telling you to cough. Don't kid yourself it was all done to make you feel like your 2" tall. This was done to me three times with her tech being very rude leaving me with no paper gown as the doctor invited half of Tulsa to come in. She seemed to enjoy any discomfort or embarrament you as a patient would have. Her tech needed an attitude adjustment! Embarassing to say the least. I was getting really bad, what I assumed was hormonal acne. I'd struggled with acne for years and years as soon as one breakout was cleared up another one started the next week. I barely had 1 clear skin week a month and I decided ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH! I am finally an adult and I can afford to go to the dermatologist. I picked Dr.Kuykendall and I'm SO glad I did. They managed to get me in to see her within a week since they had a cancellation and I was available to come in on a last minute notice. Dr.Kuykendall looked over my entire body on the first appointment to check for anything that may be cancerous. I didn't feel self conscious or embarrassed at all she put me at ease. I told her about the type of acne I would get. It was always under the skin, never wanting to come to a head, difficult to pop. I had to use a stick pin to penetrate my skin in order to pop the pimple so it would finally go away. She put me on Doryx, Veltin, and Onexton. Within 4 weeks there was a marked improvement! I've had clear skin for almost a year now. I try to space out when I get a refill for the Doryx since being on an antibiotic long term is not good for you, but at the first sign my skin is not going to cooperate, and I can't wait any longer, I call in for a refill. Within a week or two, clear skin once again! It's been such a relief for me to no longer stress over acne or blemishes. My insurance no longer covers the Onexton so I try to use what I have left sparingly. The combination of cream and antibiotics works. She also recommends switching to CeraVe facial cleanser, CeraVe moisturizing lotion, and Estee Lauder makeup foundation. Luckily I already used Estée Lauder foundation and buying the other two items wasn't very expensive. My face looks fantastic and I'm looking forward to my 1 year appointment in a couple of months. Very unprofessional. We had an appointment scheduled for over a month. We even received a text the morning of appt. reminding us. When my daughter arrived there was a sign saying they had closed for the day. When I called the next day, the rude receptionist said there wasn't a dr in that day. My daughter drove 40 mins to get there. I had never had a dr cancel and not call to let the patient know. Receptionist was so rude when I called and could care less. Dr Kuykendall Office only cares about money and not the patient. I have gone through several laser treatments with this doctor. The latest attempt ended up with them refusing to honor my deposit and demanding a new deposit to honor the treatment we had re-scheduled. I promptly cancelled and now I am in search of a new dermatologist. The doctor was in and out on my initial visit as well, she may have spent 10 minutes in the room with me. If you are deciding on a dermatologist office DO NOT come to Epiphany. They have the worst staff.. Just such bad attitudes and it takes so long to get ahold of anyone. I went here for accutane which took entirely too long over a year, and every time I would come for a visit it was less than 5 minutes not really helping me and making me feel sure about what I was taking. I've been to her office three times. The first time, just okay. The second time, appointment was at 9:00, I waited for 45 minutes past my appointment time before I asked to be rescheduled. Third visit, waited for 45 minutes in an exam room.....I knew I was in trouble when her assistant came in and said they had forgot about me.....how in the heck do you forget about a patient when their file is in folder outside the door? I just gave up and left and told them this was the second time they had jacked up my day and it would be the last. If you have 3 hours to blow off waiting around to see this doctor, it might be worth the wait. Dr. Kuykendall is an amazing doctor. I have been to several dermatologists over the years, and Dr. K has been able to diagnose and treat so many of my skin issues. She is also very aware of what she prescribes to try and make sure my cost with insurance is reasonable. She found and removed suspicious moles and even called me with the results herself on a Friday night! I have also had cosmetic procedures done and I can't say how happy I am with the results. Dr. Kuykendall was very honest and upfront about what results I could possibly get, but never guaranteed anything (I was extremely satisfied). I really respect her honesty and she even treats my 7 year old daughter and is amazing with her!! I send all of my family and friends to Dr. Kuykendall and hope she NEVER leaves Tulsa! Dr. Kuykendall was in and out of the room in about 2-3 minutes and part of that time she was on the computer. She prescribed a $450.00 kit to address my skin problem and did not mention or address the possible side effects of the treatment or how to deal with the extreme reaction that I was likely to experience with the treatment for a 4 month period. I had to go to the internet later to look up the kit and the medication included in the kit treatment to learn that patients often experience extreme dryness, peeling, cracking, redness, rawness and there is a high incidence of patients discontinuing the treatment due to these extreme reactions but Dr. Kuykendall did not even mention these side effects or that they could affect my appearance drastically for an extended period of time and cause much discomfort. There was a huge poster advertising and promoting the use of this kit on the wall of the treatment room which makes me wonder if there is a financial incentive for Dr. Kuykendall to prescribe this kit so cavalierly and not properly council the patient. As Dr. Kuykendall was leaving the room I brought up my dark skin lesions that peel open and bleed and never quite heal properly and she said, "That is probably actinic keratos." and then she left the room without even closely examining my skin or informing me if the kit treatment would heal the lesions or not. I had to look it up on the computer to learn that actinic keratosis is a pre-cancerous lesion and Dr. Kuykendall completely ignored this when I reported my symptoms to her. read more
