It was as if no instructions were given and no photo shared. The cut was so off and so much shorter than desired that remediation by a more experienced stylist could not yield the requested result. Consolation with the bromide "you are young, it will grow back," was of little relief. A suggestion might be for them to stock souvenir baseball caps to give as consolation, instead! Lots and lots of caps!!

So...I've driven by many times and finally got the opportunity to come. I made an appointment with…read moreNick as I've known him what seems forever. (He's the first person I met when visiting Rochester almost six years ago. He's come full circle coming back to this area. He's an excellent stylist and colorist. This place is lovely, the color scheme is shades of gray and it's kind of sleek. I got a tour and saw the treatment rooms for facials and massage (the massage therapist I hear works at Strong as a medical massage therapist so she knows her stuff) the facialist has been doing her trade for about 30 years so she knows her stuff. You make an appointment so she can determine what is needed to give you your very best facial. I think this is an excellent idea as most people when the come for a facial of course fill out a form but you really don't go over things until you are on the table so to speak. Due to Covid you will be asked to fill out a simple form and your temperature taken. Everything is disinfected including the chair and sink where your hair is washed. You can get manicures and pedicures. Also from what I read they do eye brows, waxing an spray tanning. It's a great little place with a lovely staff. You are warmly greeted and even though it's different with Covid it's still a pleasant experience. I need to try a facial. Prices are fair.. any questions contact them they are very helpful. Plenty of parking.

This is still not over somehow. The salon owner has contacted me stating she is pursuing legal…read moreaction because she is not represented by the independent contractors that rent the chairs. Michelle texted me this long thing saying I was blackmailing her (don't think she understands what blackmail is) and the cops have contacted us, I don't even know what the charge could possibly be, unless they have created a new law I didn't know about before. Just stating that I stand by my experience of this salon having creepy vibes and that the hairdresser showed up late and tried to take as much of my money as possible and then tried to get it back when I got it refunded correctly the first time. Lol. Please refund me for the haircut and I'll take this down, I'll say a prayer in Jolie's name, anything, don't care. please just release me from this loop. I want to forget I ever went here. -- One more update as the salon hs threatened us with legal action because of a yelp review... I am happy to amend this review if I felt like the salon wanted to refund me for the charges I did not consent to. But really threatening legal action over a bad yelp review seems a bit extreme to me. I really am pursuing a partial refund for services I was charged for unknowingly and the tip. When I asked for a refund on those charges she offered to give me a bottle of shampoo. I am not even requesting a full refund. I feel that is more than fair and the stress that this has caused is just crazy. Again, I am happy to take it all down if we could just get the refund and then i will never come back and bother anyone again. But please refund me for the things I did not ask for, hair shimmer, balayage when it was really highlights, the additional add ins, and the tip. Leaving 200 for the hairdresser. Please I'd like this to be over. I will just delete the whole thing I don't even care. I still like the color. - Just updating because dealing with getting the charges reversed for the services I didn't request has been hell.... the bangs are looking good since I had another girl cut them. Color has held up alright. I'd go to a girl besides Michelle if I went back here, but seems kinda sketchy they can just add on hundreds of dollars without asking. I appreciate the owner reaching out but what would really help would be asking Michelle to inform clients ahead of time when adding in services and products and also to arrive on time

Another fantastic hair cut and beard trim by Amanda here at Stache!…read more I have never had the skill or ability to trim my own beard without making it a total mess. More often than not, I would do so much damage. I'd have to just shave it all lol. I started coming here about a year ago and Amanda has cut my hair several times and she does a phenomenal job. The salon itself is always decorated with seasonal items and is very clean and modern. They even have a fully stocked coffee and snack bar available for all customers. The staff are all incredibly nice and you can tell they've worked together for a long time because they have a good camaraderie and easy flowing conversation. They are also very efficient. My sister and I wanted a quick trim, without a lot of product, and they were able to accommodate that with a quick wash and simple styling. My sister had also gotten an ombré highlight there before and it came out beautiful! Really well done considering we have tricky hair for dying (thin). Overall, I definitely recommend LuMonta for any hair cut/styling needs! It is good quality, with a great atmosphere, and very reasonably priced. Will be back again.
