This flat fast and perfectly placed 5k (3.1 miles) weaves through the wonderful natural scenery with many cute things to see like otters, deer, cows, osprey, and other sites. Lots of nice shade and water stations along the way to ensure a fun time is had by all. This is a chip timed race which gives out many fantastic prizes from a variety of sponsors like SeaWorld, local restaurants and entertainment venues. It is a fantastic race for the whole family and strollers are welcome to participate in the race. After you cross the finish line, you get a finishers medal, bottled water, and treats like fruit, coffee, and muffins to take care of your race calorie burn. Then, the kids have their fun run race. So super cute! Finally at the end, they award the overall make and female winners of the five k and the age/gender categories. Nicely run and growing professional type race. You can tell they take pride in ensuring all have a great time.

My husband and I were in Tampa for Memorial Day weekend and wanted to get a Friday dive in. After…read morecalling a couple of shops, we found that many of them don't go out on weekdays! How disappointing! But Narcosis was ready to go! We signed up for a 2-tank shallow morning dive trip. Nice and early. We met at the shop at 0600 to pick up our weights and tanks. Then we drove down the street in Tarpon Springs to meet the boat at the docks. The staff was so fun, and so easy-going, while also focused on safety. I can honestly say that I usually have a little anxiety before dives, but I experienced NONE with these guys. It was so relaxing and fun! One of the staff members was also helpful in giving me tips to roll off the boat since I usually step off. My mind kept me hesitating thinking that I'd hit the boat on the way down. The dive master did not rush me (but I didn't take forever either lol) in rolling off the boat. We lucked out with conditions. Water visibility was great. Water was calm and warm. The critters were out and about. You couldn't ask for more! Next time in Tampa, we'll definitely be back for another adventure. Don't let the interesting name choice hold you back.
