Even though there was a wide array of personalities and musical styles, they all came together at the very first note. A head bobbing seamless blend of different styles is the essence of FFRD. The saying "Too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth," does not apply to Fake Flowers Real Dirt. They live the saying "The more the merrier." They are great band to see live. The audio is great, but the visuals are just as good. I've seen some fantastic outfits worn by, front man, Billy Martin. This is just another way that FFRD stands out from many other bands. I've seen and heard lots of bands in my days, but I've never heard anything like FFRD. Go see them. I promise you won't be disappointed .

The Gordon Center for Performing Arts was a very nice theater to see a musical artist perform…read moreacoustically. I planned a weekend away with my wife to see Luca Stricagnoli. He's a guitarist from Italy and plays a three neck guitar, look him up on You Tube! His fingers are almost alien like how he hits those cords! I'm not sure where Owning Mills is but I have a car with navigation so I'll figure it out. I always have a little push back, the security guard checking everyone's vaccination status (who has a gun on his belt??) says my NY state Vaccine card on my cell isn't recognized. I tell him to get his boss to come up front. The theater director approached the main doors. I explain I'm from New York and.. "this is how we do it.." (dance break) He says not a problem Bill S. Enjoy the show. Once inside, what a beautiful theater! I purchases the first aisle seat (for guy spreading) second row and I have a great view of the stage. The acoustics were spot on and the lighting for the performance was also professional. Nice job Gordon Center crew! I don't live in the state but it was a pleasure to see a great performance at The Gordon Center for the performing arts.

Going strong for 41 years - Korean Festival was very impressive with over hundred booths, huge…read morestage, plenty of parking and FREE entrance. Many vendors were giving free bottles of water. It was more business oriented then food oriented which tells about strong and well organized Korean diaspora in MD. Strange thing was that I did not see smoke anywhere, as all food was made in small pots and smaller grills located way back in their booths. There was a booth to learn about Korean culture (+) and dozen food vendors (Korean and non-Korean) (+), plenty stuff for small kids to jump in (+), but the eating area was too small (-). It would be great if the eating area would be doubled (that would be more enjoyable for everybody). I had octopus balls and two different kinds of fried chicken that was truly delicious. All that was completed with the Korean beer. The entertainment was a standard and good (Martial arts + classical dance + K-pop and hip hop artists). It would be even better if larger food area would have a view to the stage like it is usually done. Great festival and strong community!
