Their site is http://www.art-strings.com/ (and no I do not work for them but want to help people find them). They were the most awesome quartet. We gave them a list of songs (from the song list they have on their website) and we also asked them for recommendations on the flow from processional to recessional and they really helped us put it all together. They were also able to learn a couple of songs which were not on their list but which we wanted played on our wedding. They were able to learn them. Our guests were so impressed by them and I often listen to the recording from our wedding to bring me back to the day and to remember how professional Art-Strings was. I recommend them for your wedding or perhaps any other event you may have.

Their website and appointment system was clear and easy to navigate, and I noticed I had to be careful during booking cause they are going by east coast time and we were on the west coast. I was a little worried about the lack of positive yelp reviews, the fact that they need payment in full, and given the mariachi band surprise was going to be through a zoom link, it would be pretty easy to take the payment and not show up. I reached out to express my concerns and Mariela was very communicative and reassuring. I also asked for a text to confirm an hour before their scheduled time that everything would be good to go. She said, "Hi Connie,  We received the payment. We will text before connecting, no problem.  As per the reviews, we been in the industry for 10yrs having up to 20 events in a weekend during the busy season, unfortunately people are more inclined to leave many bad reviews for a mistake or a missed service caused for extreme bad situations where is out of our control or where we are involved in accidents. We always make it up to our clients or come up with a solution, but it's not mention after the fact. Versus leaving one good review for every 50 events of great service. It's a reality many businesses have now days." I appreciated her detailed response and it made me feel more at ease as a customer. Come the day of, true to their word I received a text 1 hr before confirming they were good to go. And they showed up on time. What also made me happy was they were very nice and accommodating as well. They typically give you a zoom link to click on during the appt time, but in our case I requested they enter our zoom link bc there were 20+ of us all connecting from home. They said 'no prob'. I also asked if they could mix in our birthday boy's name in a song or message and they said also said 'sure' and gave a short intro saying 'this song is for ____ from your friends and we'd all like to wish you a HBD'. It sounds small but its a nice personalized touch that makes things a little more special, esp during covid. I took off a star just cause I felt it was a bit pricey for 2 songs time and esp given everything was done virtually. But I still had a good experience. Thanks for the mariachi service! I had a consultation call with Scott about a year before our wedding, on the call I immediately felt comfortable speaking with him about our vision, he just got it. Scott's experience in the industry shined through as he really listened to me and answered almost all of my questions before I even got a chance to ask them. Our winter wedding vibe was cozy, classic romance at David's Country Inn. With the restrictions at the time we had about half of our original guest list attend our wedding but Scott and his music warmed up the room and was the absolute perfect touch that we were looking for. One of my favorite moments from our wedding day was when my new husband and I stood alone on the balcony, looking down at our guests and during cocktail hour. I felt like my husband and I were floating in this perfect bubble and Scott's jazz trio will forever be the backdrop in this memory. As we got closer to the event Scott would occasionally touch base via text to confirm any last minute details. It was the perfect amount of communication in the final weeks for me. Scott was always professional and made the entire process from consultation, to booking, to confirming final details to execution. We would love to have Scott's jazz trio at another one of our events in the future! I also want to add that his jazz trio was so enchanting during our cocktail hour that our friends who were in our wedding party, connected with him that night and then booked him within a week for their upcoming wedding in May! I did my research through wedding blogs and gigmasters.com and found this duo cello and guitar players. I pretty much knew they would be the ones to play at the wedding ceremony based on the samples they have recorded on their website. My picks were "Flightless Bird", "Fools Rush In" and "I'm Yours." Since I hired them only for the ceremony portion, it was pretty easy to work with them. We never met in person until the day of but we communicated via e-mail and phone conversations, which were very prompt and concise. On the day of the wedding, they both came on time and were absolutely professional. They played the pieces beautifully and I still can't stop listening to their samples on their website.
