You may be considering a less expensive contractor, but I would tell you that in the end, whatever the marginal difference is in cost, you'll save yourself plenty of headache, time and money knowing that the job was done right the first time. Don't waste your time working with an unreliable or unscrupulous contractor. Anthony is honest and will not fail to deliver. He does not cut corners. He is fully licensed and maintains a clean worksite and finishes the job(s) on or ahead of schedule. The reviews turned out to be fairly accurate and I was glad that I chose him to be my contractor. It was refreshing to deal with a contractor who is a stand-up guy (his subcontractors said so as well which is always a good sign), provides good service (above and beyond) but also gets the job done. He and his workers did an excellent job installing flooring and painting in some rooms, redid a fireplace, and finished my garage. The work was stellar and he provided good guidance and suggestions along the way. I'm already looking to work on more projects with him.

He built out a full basement for us which included bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, utility room, closets and even a real cedar closet with actual cedar planks including the ceiling. He has replaced every window in the house with Andersen windows and even added French doors, sliding doors and a box window. He changed every door in the house to solid six panel doors and assisted in the family room and office built in by installing them. He build the most incredible custom walk in closet converting a bedroom into a spectacular use of space. He has renovated 3 bathrooms and kept them updated as needed most recently replacing a honed marble threshold in the shower and reinstalling the custom glass doors. The most recent improvement was the replacement of our gas water heaters since the old ones were starting to leak. He not only upgraded what we had, had the new ones delivered and installed all in one day in order to get us back up and running with little inconvenience. He has installed whole house water filtration, added instant hot and a garbage disposal making sure we have all the modern conveniences a home should have. He treats our home as if it is his own. On a personal note he has seen my children grow up and we have seen his son join his business and grow and learn from the best. Tony and the Functional Spaces team worked with me to completely gut and renovate an entire house…read more We removed and installed new walls, steel beams were installed, 3 complete bathroom were redone, a full kitchen renovation, a bedroom was turned into the main walk in closet with custom built ins, new AC, new heated engineered wood floors, a full redo of the electrical system and lighting plan for the entire house, new staircase, windows and siding plus so much more was done to make this home stunning! The team worked seamlessly with the architect and the inspectors to make sure the permits were all in place. Tony was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was patient in answering my numerous questions and concerns along the way. Gus (the main carpenter) was incredible in installing custom built in shelves in various areas. He is a true artist!! The whole team of guys were pleasant and knowledgeable and fun to work with. I actually missed seeing them everyday when the house was complete! Paul, the owner, gained my trust instantly with his professional and personable manner. Paul was by my side throughout the entire process. For example, he brought me to the flooring store where he assisted me with picking the flooring with the best quality that would work for my home. Everyday, Paul showed up to the house and checked on progress and addressed anything that needed attention. Paul said everything would be done in 4 weeks. After seeing how well the renovations were going, I kept adding additional things to be done including a large beautiful built in for my den which has become the favorite room in the house. Everything was completely finished in 4 weeks. The crew showed up everyday on time. They were respectful, clean and helped out with extra things where needed. Four months later and their "plumber" has every excuse in the book for not showing up. Canceled several appointments with very laughable excuses. Showed up 2 times with a wrench and screwdriver only, no tubing or connectors to finish the job. I was warned and did not listen. Be very careful, Paul is very good when the project is being done and the money is flowing. After support warranty, no such thing from them. First Impressions finally resolved the outstanding problem to everyone's satisfaction. The project is now complete and well done. Now I can recommend their services.
