My party of four received good service. The food was nothing special, but you can't expect amazing food in Darmstadt. I had been to Mokka Mokka before and did not expect to get ripped off. The check came, and I paid using my EC card. The waiter then refused to accept my 4:2 Schlemmerblock even though he had it counted on the bill. He did new math in his head and announced the new number. I went along with him, not wanting to be rude in front of the entire table and not really thinking about what was happening. He made a big show of my card not being accepted, which further distracted me. Only after leaving the restaurant, I realized that he told me wrong and I should have gotten two free meals, not just one. He probably took the price of the extra meal as a tip for himself.
I wrote to the manager in German. I also wrote to the Schlemmerblock company. Schlemmerblock advised me to leave a bad review on their website. The manager did nothing. I will not be returning.
