I went a few days ago and asked to quickly tan on a lunch break and could not be spared the 20 minute pitch, having to buy new eye wear, letting me know my tan likely won't be great without one of their lotions, etc. It's too much. Googled other tanning and came into The Reef. Jory (spelling?) was incredibly helpful and understood I just wanted to try the one tan. Of course she gentle mentioned other things but it was subtle and classy. Overall just impressed with the facility, the cleanliness, the true professionalism and sales and understanding what real customer satisfaction is...that's what brings in more business! Loyal customers come from feeling like the staff really listens not from uncomfortable, high pressure sales. (Even when you are already a member) Well done Jory and The Reef! I can barely move and cry walking up the stairs. I have never been more crisp leaving a tanning salon. I had a hot date this weekend...that won't happen because I can't move. Also the lotion doesn't prevent burning like they claim while selling. Don't go full time. It isn't fun for anyone involved. I lost both my spray tans, I called and they said I used it in January which the last time I was there was August? So who used my pass? Never had any of these issues at other tanning places. I have tried to speak to the owner or a manager and I get one person telling me they will fix this and the next that is saying that I can basically kick rocks!

No one working there had ANY idea what they were doing or how to get people checked in and tanning. After I FINALLY got signed up, they told me they'd only let me into a bed for 1/2 time, even though I'd been tanning elsewhere and already had a base tan. They were going to charge me $20+ to go in a bed capped at just 5 minutes. I've never had this at any other tanning salon, and I certainly have no incentive to transfer my business. They were slow, unhelpful, nothing seemed to work, and they were going to COMPLETELY rip me off. No thank you.
