The local credit union lacks severe advances in their offerings--especially in areas of fraud detection. I must say though, I am a fan of Mr. Byrd. He's been their front desk specialist for two years if not more--bottom line? He's they're eye candy and saving grace. His customer service is exceptional, he ensures no customer is left unsatisfied and if you so come in testy and bothered, he'll be there with etiquette and a smile to assist. Even though I cannot wait until my SUV is paid off. I will be jumping ship, FYI. Now I pay every pay check on my loan it automatically comes out im not behind or anything. Then I call to get my ot check back. Their system is magically down??? Hmmm. Then I was told by Juan to call back in 15 mins. No! I was on hold for 30! Now I have to do it all over again? I have a job! Stay far away from this bank if you can! Its a joke! read more

Addition recently took over Envision credit union. Their transition was a horrible mess. I am still unable to access any of my accounts after two hours on their help line with a human (it took me over an hour to reach a human). Their dedicated help line goes to a voice mail box that is full. I will be taking all of my money out of this poor excuse of a bank as soon as I can get a new bank set up! read more

I am so frustrated and angry. I was an Envision CU member for 20 yrs. Their recent merge into Addition CU has been horrible. I've had zero access to my account or my money for 4 days now. They cut off my old debit card and I've been unable to activate the new one. I can't get gas or food and can't get a person on the phone. I tell you - prior to Addition merging with Envision, Envision itself was on the decline - but since Addition went "online", as of today, the first day that they are up and running, I'm already putting it in the porcelain bowl. After spending literally over 30 minutes on hold upon discovering that they had taken a $10 fee for a transfer made TO my checking From another credit union, I was absolutely shell shocked. The monies didn't come from Addition - they came TO Addition, for which THEY charged a fee for a deposit. I'm still astounded that the greed in this country has reached a new low. Certainly $12.99 for a carton of eggs has its place in the annals of despicable American runaway greed, but, there was no service that Addition provided to warrant an extraction of money from my account, save existing, being there to receive the money. What's next? Charging us excessive monitoring of our accounts fees? If we log into our accounts more than so many times per day they will assess an "inconvenience fee" - or, an unwarranted strain on their internet resources fee. One of the things that threw me for a loop years ago with Envision is that they would charge you a fee if you went over too many transfers/withdrawals from your savings - under the auspices of trying to encourage saving rather than spending - as thought $1 per incident over the allowed limit would be of such inspiration that someone would become aghast at their own immaturity and licentious behavior that they would cease to transfer monies to their children, or to their checking to cover for an unexpected expenditure. How is it any of their business what we do with our own money, as long as we don't get overdrawn, or commit some heretical act of deception. The lies that they invent to rationalize their greed are as plentiful as fleas on a fox. People used to run from the banks to credit unions because of that kind of garbage. I well remember when Addition/Envision was Leon County Teachers Credit Union. I remember when they actually knew your name when you walked in the door. I remember when "personalized service" actually mean something besides being a baited hook. This is the result - big money bullying. That's all it is. How can you really know what a place is going to be like until you give it a try - well. The transition to Addition for former Envision credit union members has been absolutely horrible. their communication focuses on how great they are and does not provide real useful information, like: our account numbers changed without notice, so we were blocked from online banking. our transaction history was wiped out, again without notice. when an Envision member calls for help, the experience gets worse. First their automated system puts you in an extended hold (up to 10 minutes or more). when you finally get to a human they cannot pull up your account. after several more minutes they say they have to transfer you to a special team for former Envision customers. then you wait another 10 or so minutes for a human. these people read from a script, and provide no real help. Their call center is also off-shore. good luck getting someone who you can understand. The attitude of their call staff, even the supervisors is rotten. They come off as if they feel it is a huge bother to have to deal with former Envision customers. Given the lack of useful information provided to customers, the loss of data, and the extremely poor support, I would not recommend Addition Financial to anyone. Overall rating: PATHETIC read more

A comedy of errors. Even simple transactions are a joke to them. They outsource everything to third parties in China, who can't even understand your name, let alone your issue. You can't even order a checkbook without them misprinting it half a dozen times and then charging you for each misprint. It's gotten to the point where it's fraudulent activity on behalf of the bank. They have missed major fraud on my account, but the minute I purchase a drink from a vending machine, it locks up my card for the two months it takes them to fix such a simple error. Sold my mortgage to Selene Finance. Guess they didn't read this on the Better Business Bureau. Beginning October 2012, BBB Houston began reviewing increased complaint activity on this company and found there to be a pattern of complaints.  Complainants who contacted BBB appear to have had Selene Finance take over the servicing of their mortgage loans from another servicer. According to complaints, Selene Finance often claims that consumer's mortgage payments are never received or are received after their due date resulting in late charges. Most complainants state in their complaints, however, that mortgage payments were made on time. In several cases, consumers maintained that their payments were clearing their checking accounts, but were not being applied towards their loan. Consumers also reported difficulty reaching the company by phone, website or e-mail. Thanks a lot Envision for failing your community. They also failed to keep up with the taxes on my mortgage that caused a huge spike in my mortgage payment after they realized their mistake. Find another credit union. I've been with Envision for a long time but things have been getting worse for a couple/few years now. This is the straw that broke the camel's back. I refinanced my mortgage with them a number of years ago after they told me they didn't sell them after originating them. That just changed. They just sold my mortgage, and to a horrible company no less, Selene Finance, a company with 73 reviews on yelp with an average of 1 star. I was a member since the North Florida Education Credit Union days, and it was a great CU, with an in house good credit card at 10%, attentive service, in house service departments, and a small town feel. All that has changed. Their Credit card has been sold to a very predatory bankster outfit. After having an argument with the very rude Credit Manager a few years back, I paid off and canceled this card, and took out a card with my other much smaller credit union which has an in house card at 10% with no hidden fees and an escalating rate up to 21% and more, as the Envision Credit Union credit card now has. I was very disappointed in Envision at that point, but stuck with them. A more recent experience has also disappointed me. I called to dispute a charge on my debit card, but was routed to the service center in Mexico, where they had an initial automated query that kept refusing me because my phone did not match their records, although it was the correct mobile number.. When I was finally allowed to speak to a live agent, they had no record of the charge, even though I was looking right at it on my account on the website, as well as my bank statement. I discussed this with the "triage" lady at the credit union, and she insisted I have to go "thru the system" (in Mexico) when I asked to speak to someone in house. Definitely not the credit union I knew when I joined up. I plan to pull all my money out and put it in my other credit union. read more

I paid my electricity bill using my checking account and somehow the money was taken by Envision but not paid to my electric company. I have made a personal bank visit during the last week of December 2019 to take care of business. After I opened my account a few years ago I realized the waiting time for customer service is over one hour. Out of two issues the second has not been resolved a simple task, requested to have a box of personal checks mailed out. Today is the second week of March and nothing yet. I called the bank a month ago. Today I sent an e- mail just to let them know how aggravated I am. Again will need to move my direct deposits and banking else where . Very poor service, all around . The absolute worst financial institution I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Whatever you do, do not get a mortgage or loan with them. I opened a small mortgage with the lender in 2014 and immediately set it to autopay, in year 2/3 I noticed that I had been double debited on a given month, not billed on another months, the debits were sometimes late and late fees assigned to my auto debited account. I spent hours with the people at Envision and after several calls and massages and speaking with some executive at the credit union I was assured everything was fixed. Flash forward another year, I again was not charged on given months, the interest charged was significantly different from one year to the next and late fees were applied to my auto debit account. I went to a branch in person and was told that it was a problem with the bank that was receiving the debit requests and the worker insinuated that I didn't have the proper funds in the account. I was outraged as the debiting account had always had far more than what was requested. Upon speaking the branch manager I agreed to pay the mortgage in full (with the bank account the employee insinuated didn't have enough money to cover the monthly mortgage) and you would hope that would be the end of the story. But instead of the remaining escrow being mailed back to me in the form of a check (as all other financial institutions have done) they applied the remaining 655 dollars into their Member Share Savings without my consent. So I attempted to transfer this money to an outside bank account online. But alas it wouldn't let me do this. I called and spoke with someone at Envision and was told I needed to open a checking account with them if I wanted to be able to send escrow money that was, without my consent, sent to the Savings account in the first place. I objected. I was told I could write them a letter. I objected, this was after all not money that was ever intended or used to be put in a savings account in the first place, why am I writing them a letter to request it back if I'm on the phone with them in the first place? After more time on hold I was told I could have them mail the requested amount but that it would put the account below a $250 requirement as I no longer had the Mortgage account and I would need to either pay fees to keep the Member Share account active (so I could use the account for retrieval of past statements or tax information) or they would close the account totally. The Member Share account had 5 dollars in it for the 4 years prior without any concern about a minimum and while the mortgage account had a 0 balance because it was paid off it still existed as a retrievable account under my name in the system. When I explained how ridiculous it was that I had a new required total was and went back to the insanity of the accruing events the lady on the phone cut me off several times telling me that it was their policy to submit extra escrow from a mortgage account into a savings account. After more calmly speaking with the manager who did not inject, she hung up on me. So there you have it. Despite the 3.3% APR on the mortgage I decided it was better to pay it off in cash than use them. Even when I did so this company was absolutely incapable of completing the transaction without screwing it up and engaging in a long, tedious and aggravating back and forth which, as of this writing as not resulted in my escrow funds being returned to me. To this day I'm not sure if I was charged more interest than I was supposed to because of their auto debiting screw ups. Use literally anyone but them for you financial needs. read more

Because of their incompetence (especially Christina Harrell - she is the rudest and most feckless human being that I've ever had the displeasure of communicating with), we have had to make up months of delinquent payments, that were not delinquent on our part, but because Envision completely doesn't have their crap together. We have one year left on our car; but at this point, it'd almost be worth it to give it to them so we don't have to deal with this headache anymore. My debit card has been declined numerous time for no reason. When you call the number on the back of the card they say its a "general denial" and call the bank. The bank says you have to get a new debit card. Really big hassle for no reason. I have never experienced this at another bank...and frankly and looking at changing. This was a stellar credit union when I first joined in 2013, its been on a downhill spiral ever since. Very poor customer service. When I was in line to get a new debit card, there were 3 others doing the same thing. I asked the clerk if they have to do this a lot and he just laughed and said "yeah". That is where it starts and it only gets worse from there! This has been the most miserable experience I have ever dealt with. The worst experience ever. I've had my account open for months now and have been getting my pay deposited with no problems up until I used the ATM. When I used the ATM to deposit my check that comes from the same employer, my account was put on hold for fraud protection and now my bills are behind. Mind you, I deposited a personal check before and was allowed my funds the same day but when I deposited my work check that they've been cashing for months, they now want to hold it b/c I used the ATM this time. I can't wait until my funds are released so I can withdraw everything and go elsewhere. It's always something. I'd be better off just keeping my money and going to an check cashing place. Beware of this business! They charge an inactive account fee if you don`t use it very often. Then when the balance has been depleted they say I am overdrawn. I made several online donations using my debit card last night, 10/20/20. Suddenly I was unable to make any donations. I was expecting a 'fraud alert' text from Envision. Never got one. Went to Walgreen's this morning and gas pump. Debit card declined at both locations. I appreciate your interest in protecting my money but you need to ensure that I get a text telling me what's up? I finally found out about the freeze on my account after plowing through 30 minutes of phone crap only to be told that a debit card receipt (within 30 days) was necessary for me to have my account unfrozen. I had to search for a receipt while keeping your card service rep on the line while I looked. She told me my account could NOT be unfrozen without going through these gyrations. What if I didn't have a receipt available?? Would my money be frozen throughout millennia until I could find a receipt (dated within the last 30 days)? Who comes up with such a chaotic, unmanageable, time-consuming, NOT customer friendly scheme where your clients loose access to their OWN money at the whim of either some algorithm someone plugged into a computer or a bank teller's fancy?? You need to fix the can of worms you created in protecting customers' money or you are liable to loose long term customers. I am thinking seriously on moving my business to a local bank. I went to this bank for a wire transfer at 10.20am at the Apalachee Parkway office. Two customer service rep and a branch manager review the documents and finally sent me on my way after wasting 1 1/2 hour at the branch. I called back 4 hours later only to be told that the transfer was not done. This is mediocre costumer service. How come you have a bank and no one knows how to do a simple wire transfer. Quite disappointed with this. I am still waiting on the line since 2.40 and its 3.10 pm. unbelievable. Sound like its time for refresher training for this location. We have been "Envision" CU members for over 40 years. Our account was opened when the name was North Florida Education CU. Our account number is only four digits long. ECU has always paid attention to our needs, whether checking accounts, savings accounts or loans at great interest rates (good credit history). ECU was our first encounter with bill-pay. Went from skeptical to can't live without it. Their continued technological advances have kept us users of the newest banking-industry programs. Continued technological advances, here as with any other bank or business, temporarily throw you into a learning curve, just like purchasing a new computer. Not a lover of learning curves but do love banking with ECU. There were some negative reviews based on not-current loan payments and charges for poor account management. This sort of thing has happened to us a couple of times in the past 40 years. Even though at the bottom line the issue was our fault, ECU has been more than glad to meet us more than half way. read more

Envision used to be a great credit union. It was very responsive to members and had great products. But, over the last 2 years it has gone down the tubes in terms of service and management. Every decision seems to be based on enlarging the member base (by absorbing other credit unions) with little regard to how it impacts current members. Many of the functions that made it a great 'hometown' credit union are now farmed out to out of town (even out of country) service providers that has changed providing general service from minutes or at most a hour to taking days and even weeks. Envision management made the conscious decision to change debit and credit card service to two separate companies causing chaos with the card rewards program. Already earned rewards points were split between two separate companies and lost about 45% of their buying value in the process. Envision has also farmed out its mortgage servicing to a national service. In the past, one dealt with a mortgage officer directly, now its all a crap shoot as to what you will get and any efforts to refinance seems to involve many extra hoop jumps. read more

They have wronged me so many times I cannot count. I am an educator and their coin phrase centers around education. The ONLY thing they offer that is education specific is educator liason which is one teacher that must compete for the job (bonus) to advertise for envision. This aside, they lost ALL of my three YEARS worth of credit card point, causing me to have to restart with a balance of zero. LOST points? This makes no sense to me? They are a digital number and even with a print out THEY SENT ME, they just said "well sorry, its not in our system. " I was then handed a new card and stared at like I was a moron. I had enough point for a damn Kayak. Second was when I wanted my account closed. They refused. Literally over the phone with the branch manager literally chuckling as I asked very plainly why she wouldn't close the account.."Chuckle, im sorry sir, it does not work that way.." You'll have to come down to the branch to speak with us and write a notarized letter of intention to close the account and send it to ______ department with this mailing address..." This is a simple checking account. Then, after switching banks and just leaving the account they started charging me fee after fee without notice or knowledge. I was THEN charged insufficient funds fees for a grand total of $200 in the hole after they drained the 25$ left in the account with fees and hit me with insufficient funds fees to pay their fees?. Take your money and run! Envision Credit Union has no scruples, and remind me of the major banks that caused the financial crisis. Today I asked for a list of fees. They fit over 100+ assorted fees on an 8-1/2 by 11 sheet of paper, including: Close your acccount within 180 days of opening = $20; or transfer your account to a new account number = $25. That's just the beginning. I had another "member" use my account number to pay their Amex bill (I don't have an American Express card, period). It took Envision hitting my account 3 times for $50, calling them every time it happened, and finally filling out a "stop payment" form to get them to stop trying to withdraw the funds. I guess the other member is excluded from dealing with this. But that's not the end of it. A few months later I wrote a $50 check to my spouse, and guess what? They put a hold on it because it was for $50! I quote: "We are sorry but you put a hold on a payment for $50 a few months back, so we stop any payments for that amount instead of processing it. Is a check the same as an ACH transaction? Oh, how about going to a local gas station and using my debit card; that put a $90 hold on my account. I asked my spouse (who banks elsewhere) if she had the same issue. Nope! Just Envision Credit Union suckers! And if you want to make a deposit, meaning just put your account number on the back of a check and "For Deposit Only", don't even think about it. My spouse tried that for me, but they wouldn't accept it unless I signed it. So I left work early to deal with it. Enough of them! I will definitely find another credit union. read more
