I have stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. This law firm took my case about 3 years ago. I spent days doing the paperwork getting all the records from 2 cancer doctors urologists hospital and urgent care records. Mailed all it to them. For the next 2 years I got updates every couple months every couple months I was asked for more information about what firefighting gear I used. What was used on the navy ship schools and so on. Then updates stopped. I kept sending them emails with no response. After about 2 years and 8 months I was finally told that I don't have a case with them anymore. Apparently prostate cancer was removed from the firefighter foam case. No updates from them telling me I was dropped. I am the only male in my family to ever have prostate cancer I have spent about 14 years fighting fires. Very disappointing and unprofessional service. I would not recommend read more

My father passed away, he hired ELG before his passing... I am now in charge of his cases.. things were going well in the start of the transition, I started getting settlement offers 2 years ago.. even this year I had more settlement offers, I signed all of them and waited and waited... im at the point to call and check on things, (this was a few months ago) I think I'm at 15 to 30 settlement offers in the past 2 years... so I called, I get nowhere, they send me to un named voice mail..to NEVER get a call back.. there good to you until they have to answer where the money is....im still waiting for all my call backs....I can not in good faith offer there services to anyone I know... In November, 2023, I was engaged by the Environmental Litigation Group through an expert witness firm to review documents that concerned heavy metal contamination of infant foods. They sent me approximately 50 scientific manuscripts and some data on heavy metal levels in the hair of patients. After spending quite a number of hours reading what they sent, I wrote a comprehensive and lengthy report that I sent them along with an invoice. The response from Kevin McKie, an attorney with the Environmental Litigation Group, was that they would not pay my bill. Instead, they offered an amount slightly more than one tenth of what I had billed, which was at an hourly rate that was previously agreed upon. Because the amount of money was insufficient to take them to court -and how much sense does it make for a physician/scientist to take a bunch of lawyers to court - I eventually agreed to their offer. However, they ultimately did not pay me anything for my time and effort. In my opinion, the Environmental Litigation Group, and particularly Kevin McKie, is highly dishonest, and was also unpleasant to deal with. They have multiple negative reviews on various sites, consistent with my own negative experience. There are many honest law firms and attorneys and I have had positive interactions with quite a number. In my opinion, Environmental Litigation Group and in particular Kevin McKie is not among them and I believe should be avoided at all cost. read more

where do I start. okay please don't use Sokolove for asbestos claims they just forward you to this group of unprofessional representives. first they lost the asbestos claim, found it called me back okay. so as of may stated I had everything in. so okay did a ton of work figured give them sometime. called back this week. June 20th 2023 and got told we were missing a packet from feburary. I said why wasn't I told or called and why no communication? answer was we gave the case to another representativ. okay so after two days of calling. the representative called me late Wednesday June 21. meaning I called Tuesday and wednesday. she called me unprepared. I asked so what are we missing as we just wanted to end the case being it was my father and he recently passed. she said I don't know I just got the case.I stated we don't want excuses and want answers. we have nothing to do with it being you calling me with it infront of you and calling me and not looking at the case. as of may you guys stated you had everything and now since feburary you guys sent us a packet and nobody let us know until end of june. she continued to fight back and forth and stated she was transferring the case. not professional at all and after me telling her we lost my father and am frustrated. called Thursday no answer. called back Friday they dropped the case and waited for me to call back and stated the packet was sent out as of feburary 9th and told me they are dropping the case. I said for what you not communicating or doing your job. if you value your time and want to get the case moving forward don't use Sokolove or environmental litigation group. very unprofessional and do not communicate. read more
