Love this place. The food is always great and the service is fast. My favorite is the California Burrito.

Service was quick on a Tuesday, not many people to seat. We had a group of 6, 2 ordered alcohol and had to wait quite a while for one, even longer for the second. Chips and salsa for the table is always awesome, love having it and the chips are really good. Salsa is great flavor with not too much kick at all, very mild. Food all came out hot, my tacos were good but they were just thrown together where the beef was all on one side and cheese scooped on the other so I had to open them up and spread everything around. Our waitress was nice enough, but we had to ask for her to clear our table when we were done, had to ask her for any water refills, and towards the end she kept trying to take everything from us, like our waters, when we were clearly still trying to drink them. Made us all feel like she was rushing us out the door, but they weren't closing for another 45 minutes. Prices are really high for what you get, not worth it in my opinion. Extensive menu, quality Mexican food. Ordered the Tamal Dinner: three shredded chicken tamal topped with ground beef, red sauce, queso. Served with Mexican style rice and refried beans. Also ordered the Build Your Own Combo of Burrito, Taco, and Chile Poblano with Mexican Rice and Refried Beans. Crispy tortilla Chips and house made Salsa appetizer is complementry and arrived to the table shortly after we were seated. Plenty of beverage options to choose from. Service was attentive. I enjoyed the Tamal Dinner, my first time ordering it here. My friend did not particularly enjoy the Chile Poblano, but was happy ordering the combo so it was only one of three items on the plate. All dinners come with Mexican Rice and refried beans. The sauces, salsa, rice and beans all taste authentic. Great for large groups too. Bar area with three overhead screens for sports separate from the dining area. Ordered Chicken Flautas and Burritos Amigos to-go. Nicely packaged up including extra chips and salsa. Even though it was more costly, the food was good as always. However the last two times I went there I had the same waiter (older short guy) and both times he was incredibly rude! If they want more money from customers they should at least be graceful to customers and replace the workers that don't appreciate the ones who make their paychecks happen! If there's even a next time, and he's my waiter, I'll walk out. Bad for business especially when they are the most expensive Mexican place in the area now! read more

I used to love this joint but their recent price increase is absurd! They said it was because they haven't done one in 2 years though their portions got smaller a year ago so triple dip on their part. Service was good. On time, hot, and correct. BUT it was the most generic food you can find. The quesabirria, I ate all 3 tacos but I really didn't want to. I was hungry and choked it down. Then I tried the pork of the carnitas street taco and instantly knew it was going to be trash. The sauce in the cups, not sure what it is, but holy hell is it hot (spicy). It's definitely one of those places that seems they over decorate in a Mexican style to try to trick people into thinking they are eating good food. We like the food and service here but they water down their top shelf margaritas. We ordered the 23 oz and that amount is enough to make me tipsy. I felt absolutely nothing and the drink tasted watery. We thought it was a fluke and maybe the bar tender made a mistake. Came back a second time and ordered the 12 oz and all you can taste is mix. When we asked the waiter he said they premix the margaritas and use a full bottle of tequila. Well, you can't taste any tequila at all. We won't come back. Rip off. read more

Let me start by saying this is my favorite restaurant in Midland but I have to admit, I was highly disappointed in the service tonight. Our waitress was noticeably on drugs- she couldn't stand up straight or make her words come out properly when taking our order. We asked for extra napkins and more chips, which she brought out and gave to the table next to us. She was exceptionally jittery and kept interrupting my daughter trying to place her order. When she brought our bill, she offered to take our payment up to the register for us, which was weird because I've ALWAYS paid on the way out. She disappeared for 20 minutes and when she came back, she asked if we had gotten our bill yet. At this point, I'm annoyed this methhead has ruined our family dinner so I say yes, you also took our card which I need back now. She mutters something then disappears again, finally brings the card back with the receipt. The food was great as always and I'd like to come back but not if the Methhead of Midland is going to be our waitress again. This used to be a good restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, the host was taking phone orders. This is typical here. It was Mother's Day but not many people in the restaurant for dinner. After finally being seated, we noticed a small sign on the wall stating that there was a limit of 2 free baskets of chips and an apology for having to raise their food prices recently. Noticed that the size of the chip basket was about half the size of the one I remembered from past visits. So basically you are getting one basket of chips. No problem. What was surprising was the menu prices have gone up at least 20%. Many entre's are over $20. The food we ordered was not that good. Burrito's had plenty of peppers, runny cheese, onions, but not much chicken. It was hot enough though. Service at the table was just ok. Server did not check on us until after we had finished our meals. The rest rooms were in disrepair and not clean. Towel dispenser hanging from the wall by 1 screw. Roll of paper towel sitting on the counter in a pool of water. Soap dispenser leaking on the counter with a bowl underneath it to capture some of it. This was the same as the last time we visited a couple of months ago. Greasy floors. Makes me wonder about the kitchen. Time to leave and we go the register to pay (you will be charged more to use a credit card) and once again the host is taking phone orders so we wait until she gets off the phone to pay. There are 2 additional tip jars on the counter, one for the cooks and one for the host. No problem tipping the server. Cooks and the host...not happening. I couldn't figure out why the restaurant wasn't busy on Mother's Day and why they seemed understaffed but now I understand. There are other better options in Midland. read more

The food was all really good! It was prepared traditionally and portions were large. I started with the cheese dip which was awesome. The chips and salsa were also very good. This jug of salsa was delicious and chips are perfect the great part about the chips/salsa is the individual hot sauces that you can add to your individual salsa serving! The service and quality are hit or miss. When it's good, it's great. When it's lousy, it seems to be lousy across the board. I agree with other reviewers that the entire atmosphere is rather overtly aggressive between "!!!" signage and often rude service. I'm not talking about mistakes here and there... but outright aggression. Huge management and training issues here. I gave one extra star for the few employees who really did try to give good service in what seems like a lousy management situation. What finally got me to break down and write a review was the maddening 'busy all' on the phones. You just cannot get through. It's like they don't want your business. I just don't feel the need to try that hard given all of the above. Good news is I'd finally had it with that, and explored T of M on the other side of town. I was happy to learn they offer family dinners and it's actually authentic Mexican food. I spent a good hundred bucks every time I went to Entree, and as a former server, I'm tipping these folks well; but it's money I'm taking elsewhere, now. Bummer. Ordered on 6-21 through doordash and the sampler sides of guacamole, sour cream,salsa etc are now child sized and the quesodillas had almost NO cheese..it was mostly tortilla with butter grilled. Standards continue to go down. This place used to be the best Mexican food around and now it's barely better then Taco Bell and to be honest I don't think this place can compare with TB grilled cheese burrito...sad but The amigos have gone way down in quality.. read more

Typical Mexican restaurant. Interestingly painted decor and friendly staff. Fajitas were also typical. Nothing new or interesting or stellar. Chips and salsa were the same. My son got the monster chimichanga and wowzers was it huge. While he said it tasted like a normal chimichanga the wow factor there was just in the seize. I have come here a couple times with my family but we will not be returning. Every table and booth is very old and wobbly. To where when someone wits down behind you or moves in the seat behind you, you move as well. Plus, the leather on the seats was almost completely peeled off of every seat. The menu is extremely long and hard to follow. We ordered a side of quest but decided to go with large by mistake. Not only was it very watered down, it also cost $7.50. Far too much for sub par queso. A nacho order was placed for someone who does not like cheese and since the menu says nothing about cheese coming on the nachos, no issue was foreseen. But when the nachos came with cheese, the waitress claimed that all ground beef nachos come with cheese and that we'd have to order another order. Then after that, we did not receive a single refill on our drinks and we had to chase down our waitress to get to go boxes and our bill. Overall a terrible experience. Been here lots of times while in Midland. Always good and enjoyable. They have a great white queso you can get with chips and it's on a number of menu items. I really like the chimichanga on the lunch menu. A big and filling meal. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews however buyer beware! This was my 4th and final attempt at EA! Twice pre-Covid; twice in the last 2-months. Not one meal has been worth the money. Yesterday's Taco salad was not even eatable. There was ZERO flavor. ZERO. My husband decided to feed it to the raccoons; see attached! They thought it was okay. My burrito was also underwhelming. I'm not trying to be sarcastic.....We've decided Taco Bell or an Old El Paso kit does a much better job for a quarter of the price!!! As for the mood of the restaurant. It's hysterical walking in..... There are redundant signs everywhere regarding NO MORE 1/2 PRICE MARGARITA'S DUE TO A TEQUILA SHORTAGE! DUE TO HIGH CREDIT CARD FEEs THERE WILL BE A 3% FEE TO CHARGE ONE's MEAL. The signs reminded me of old-school cartoons....WARNING! DON'T ENTER! TURN AROUND NOW! Handwritten signs posting the "don't(s)" are a complete turn-off. Couple that with only raccoon worthy food and it end up being a restaurant out of business. Very sad. We have been coming to this place since discovering it three months ago. Great food, prices and pleasant staff. I don't know what happened, but, tonight we were so disappointed . We had the most rude waitress ever. Never checked on us. Didn't offer take home boxes and when she did happen to pass our booth she tossed the bill on the table without a word. The food, burritos amigos, is what we always order. Each week. Tonight the meals came really quick and were luke warm at best. Cool in the middle. So with a waitress who received no tip for her rudeness, cold food which we left, and not to mention $3.50 per Coke we were so upset we will eat at home next time or taco boy. Taco beef is not seasoned--tastes like plain low quality ground beef. Was told is pre-seasoned and same beef in all dishes, but the tacos tasted like yesterday's browned burger with lettuce and some cheese. Husband's beef fajita was tasty and margarita was good. read more

I have been coming here with my family for a number of years and have maybe only had one bad time. That was an honestly true off day for everyone so I don't blame anything with that. The only thing I ever blame is my eyes being way, way, way bigger then my gut. So last night I ordered some food through DD to have when I got home. I got the monster chimmichanga I know spelling is off. Anyways, I must have read it wrong on size, this sucker was huge, like a whole loaf of bread huge lol. Thought the food was okay but later that night I felt super ill. Turned out I got food poisoning. Me and my coworkers order here almost every month and/or sometimes dine in because they have great food. The service is a different story. The reception women can be very rude and whoever answers their phone calls need to learn phone etiquette. Called and asked why this order did not have any salsa at all. Fabulous food, service and margarita's! We ordered the queso with chorizo and flour tortillas... yummy! Enough for the four of us. The tortillas came to the table warm and soft. I shared the parra...some thing or other fajitas for two but we might have been able to get away with the single serving, there was a lot of meat! Enough so that we had leftovers for dinner the following night. The margarita was delicious. I had the medium size but they do have a 30 once size! It was a great compliment to the dinner. No dessert for us because we had plenty of dinner . This will be my go to for Mexican in Midland since the other Mexican restaurant downtown doesn't have a liquor license. read more

Large menu options, and large plates, seems decently authentic for Michigan. Good price. Half off margaritas on Wednesday's :) Not sure I'd go back only because I'd want to try someplace else. My friend and I came to dinner here based on the fact she has eaten here before and she said the food was very good. We did not observe one COVID precaution being taken aside from the fact our server wore her mask. It was under staffed and our server was taking care of too many customers for one person. It took almost 20 minutes to order something to drink then an additional 10 to order our food. My food had a poor presentation and the meat was tough and bland as if it was reheated in a microwave, my friends was not any better. We ate so many chips while waiting for our dinner that neither could eat much of our actual order. I feel like they owe me money for having to eat their food and waste my time.
