And for an extra $20/ fee you can get the access to their regular sauna, infrared sauna, steam room, massage room, and so many other neat extras. This gym is fully loaded with luxuries? And it's brand new only 2 weeks old! It has a grass area, and tons and tons of strength and cardio equipment. They have a kids play area if you have little ones, a movie theater, yeah I said that, a movie theater (never seen that at a gym before), they have classes, yoga, a juice bar with calorie counter juices and smoothies, and even a picketball court!! The front desk staff were friendly and informative about the gym, and it was very clean. I feel like I need to switch my gym membership! But likely I'll be getting a second membership here because these guys aren't nationwide I don't think, and I tend to travel a lot.

A friend who belongs to another AF but sometimes goes to this one (more convenient to me) offered to help acquaint me with this place and kick start the healthier lifestyle I need by following his workout. Long story short, we were there about 30 minutes, when the owner came over, accused my friend of being a personal trainer, and told us to leave. I'm convinced that the main reason for this accusation is that I'm a fat, middle-aged white guy with glasses, and my friend is 15 years younger, muscular, tattooed, pierced and multiracial. Uncool/cool. No way we could be friends, right? I must be paying him. In fact, he paid the $5 daily fee for me. Not only will I never set foot in this prejudiced establishment again, I won't be joining an Anytime Fitness since they tolerate this sort of attitude in their chain.

What I do, is I keep it as a backup membership, so whenever I travel I have a place I can workout. Or if the gym I am signed up for is closed and I need to get a workout in, well, planet fitness is 24/7 so I can go there anytime. Today's experience: I was welcomed by the front desk staff with a warm and friendly smile. The checkin process is always quick and easy. I didn't experience long wait times for any of the equipment, and unlike many of the reviews I've read here, It didn't seem overly dirty. Like I'm not saying it sparkled like a Diamond but, a $10/month gym is never going to have the same cleanliness as a $100/month gym.
