I first called to let them know I would be dropping-in for a workout and their customer service was fantastic! From the moment I walked in this box everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Everyone treated me like a member that's been there for a long time. Classes are run very well and on time from warmup to the end of the class. Very good programming and knowledge from coaches and members. This box is maintained very well! The entire workout area is clean and neat. Every night after the last class member sweep and mop the floors. Very sanitary, you really can't beat that and your skin will thank you when you have to hit all those Burpees :) Coaches: The coaches here are absolutely amazing! All the coaches I've worked with; Issac, Jonathan, Anna, Alex, Gilbert, Vince, Derek, Sam are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They take the time to get you prepared for the workout and also provide helpful tips if they see you need adjustments in your technique. This is really helpful especially when you're on the pain train! These coaches are the absolute best in Albuquerque! Community: The community at Duke City Crossfit is fantastic! The entire community is welcoming and there to support one another. I really love to come here and train with this group. I love the atmosphere, but the icky humid stinky mess that has been accumulating in the space the last few weeks was hard to get through. I suggest leaving the door open at least some of the time for the earlier classes. I love the way everyone is comfortable and accommodating there. Would never try another Jazzercise anywhere else.

I was considering joining this gym. Gyms aren't my favorite places. I've had problems controlling…read moremy weight since early childhood, and I'm not anything close to being a natural athlete. A friend who belongs to another AF but sometimes goes to this one (more convenient to me) offered to help acquaint me with this place and kick start the healthier lifestyle I need by following his workout. Long story short, we were there about 30 minutes, when the owner came over, accused my friend of being a personal trainer, and told us to leave. I'm convinced that the main reason for this accusation is that I'm a fat, middle-aged white guy with glasses, and my friend is 15 years younger, muscular, tattooed, pierced and multiracial. Uncool/cool. No way we could be friends, right? I must be paying him. In fact, he paid the $5 daily fee for me. Not only will I never set foot in this prejudiced establishment again, I won't be joining an Anytime Fitness since they tolerate this sort of attitude in their chain.

EVERY LOCATION ALWAYS HAS A STEAM ROOM OR SAUNA OUT OF SERVICE! That's almost half of the amenities that is included in the membership. Defined is gradually going downhill and a majority of members are starting to notice. Each member I speak to have the same complaints about EVERY location. It's always an apology from the management team but no correction. Figure it out Defined.

First off, it's located in a small shopping center off the main road. Not a huge parking lot but there was ample parking and I could typically find a place to park. Secondly was the size, it is deceptively big. When you enter it doesn't look very large as it's not a very open space like many of the others. They had all the equipment I needed. At 5-7 PM when I was there it was not very busy and I didn't have to wait for equipment which was nice. The atmosphere is almost an old school gym feel. It's not as brightly lit as many other gyms and the music wasn't as loud but I really liked it. It made me feel like I was truly in an old gym. Despite being darker the gym was very clean and well taken care of. There wasn't many machines that were out of order which is good. The staff was very friendly and it had all the extra amenities that Planet Fitness is known for (tanning, massage, etc..). I definitely plan on visiting again during my next trip to ABQ later this summer.
