The store has a super cool vibe that I haven't found in any other record store even in San Antonio where I now live. Also very unique that you can have them build you a system if you desire an upgrade from a standard turntable. I tell people all over San Antonio that it's worth the drive to come see these guys and get back to how music is supposed to sound! The place is very organized and they always seem to know where what you're looking for is. Great selection, fairly priced, and an awesome atmosphere!

This Abilene-based shop had two of the nicest guys - a father-son duo - working the front when I was there (11/21/2023). The dad pointed out the mural on the wall outside before I walked inside. Gave me some insight about the local artist who painted it. Inside you'll find mostly 33s, but there's more... to 45s to CDs to VHSs and tapes, posters, speakers, record players, memorabilia... Ya know, I didn't see much blues. That was the only pitfall for me. I was stoked when the dad, a former schoolteacher, mentioned the NEW Billy Idol Christmas record I snatched was really good. "He's a real crooner on this one..." And that's why I love record shops. Check out their Black Friday sale... I'm missing out some really good deals, but that's life.

If they can get away with low balling you they will. Before they reopened again they had closed down. Almost every worker there had left or got "fired". To be honest, I don't think the owners know what they're doing. I honestly have no idea how they didn't stay closed. It's just not a great place.
