Worst car rental experience ever. Rented a car for 3 weeks from there. Was the only rental place…read morethat had an SUV available for me and my family, which I had 2 car seats I needed to accommodate. Upon arrival they tried to "upgrade" me to a pickup. No thanks - I ordered an SUV. So then I am given a Durango that was just returned and was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke to put my children into. There was also a chip in the windshield and some bumper damage that was NOTED on my receipt. I actually thought it was an employee car at first because of the condition and how they suddenly had a car available when I refused the "upgrade". So I took this SUV as it was the only one and cleaned it MYSELF and aired it out for DAYS getting the smoke smell gone. 3 weeks later - I returned the car early morning and did key drop off as no one is there. As I'm traveling home I receive emails that I am being charged for this bumper damage. Now I am upset and calling them. They send me a picture of the bumper and are blaming me. I refuse to accept this damage and am disputing it with the main corporation. NOW I have a mysterious charge on my card of $250 with no explanation and no receipt. So I call national and the 800 rep says its for a disposal fee and even she doesn't understand it and is requesting a reversal. I am also disputing this with my card. I will NEVER rent from this national location in Williston ever again.

Well I've called the company 4 times and have e-mailed and NO ONE has been able to provide me with a substantial response and I am still without a vehicle.

Insurance was going to be another $25 a day so the total estimate was $417.80 (that's actually a $92 increase not $75 but whatever). She gets the car and now she's being charged $560.40-which is still just an "estimate". That's a $ 142.60 difference from the original estimate. She lets me know today that the final charge for a 3 day rental was $658.84!!!!! That is $219.61 per day for a car rental! Will NEVER use Hertz ever again. Now let's see if I can get anyone to call me back!
