Went to enterprise to rent a vehicle for 5 days and they said no small vehicles were available but they could upgrade me to a truck for 100 bucks a day. I let them know the app offered a truck upgrade for 100 bucks total and she said she could not do it. So I went on the app and placed a reservation. Peter called me and said he didn't have any small vehicles but could upgrade me for 10 bucks a day to a truck. I told him I'll take it and I'm coming back into the store. Peter did not like that I had already been in the store and expressed anger towards me because I was already in the store and was told there was nothing they could do. I don't understand why Peter can offer me a truck upgrade for 10 bucks a day through a reservation but because I came into the store he cannot offer the same. Very confusing and rude employees. I now remember why I use other rental car companies. read more

Due to a simple lack of communication this location will not receive my business, not only did they not communicate possible changes to our reservation during initial call they would not even try to accommodate for having to travel to another location 30+ minutes away for a the reservation required to be completed. If I could make a review without any stars I would. I have had a rental with Enterprise in Salisbury for 20 days now until my car get repaired. I have had to have 3 different cars possibly 4 if I except it, do to having terrible cars. The first car had to be returned due to an expired tag, the second one sounded terrible and the third one sounds the same. I also noticed they keep charging me extra fee which they shouldn't be. Also, they have all be half cleaned. Salisbury needs another rental company to come here to give them some competition, maybe they will do better. read more

Over the past month my vehicle has been in the body shop after an accident. While this was happening I needed a rental car. And dealing with insurance is a pain in the butt. But during all this Matthew (Manager), Jimmy (assistant manager), and Diana were all very helpful and understanding. There was times when the insurance company had stopped my rental and didn't say anything to me. Matthew went above and beyond to let me know. Diana made sure that I had a vehicle to drive when needed. Jimmy went above and beyond to stay open late the last time just for me to pick up my last rental. These folks made this an easy experience. I have read some of the reviews. But a lot of them are not the workers fault. So be kind to the workers and they will be kind to you. We have had multiple issues with the insurance company getting us in a vehicle, and in the correct size vehicle and they have been wonderful in helping us out and putting up with us calling nonstop to check in on what is available! Horrible experience at this location. Matthew the manager is a complete imbecile. I reserved a car online, I showed up the next day to pick it up. Once arriving to the rental store I was assisted by Amber who did do a great job at first. The transaction started inside and she later transitioned outside with the using the iPad. . I had to request the car to be washed and vacuumed as it was dirty. While that was being done she swiped my credit card on iPad. We both acknowledge that the ordeal was completed and I was able to leave. I later get a call from Matt stating he didn't have a card on file. I explained to him that if there was not a card on file how was I able to rent the car. He begin to speak very rudely and condescending stating that his patience was being tried. He then attempted to charge my card unauthorized after I stated that I would settle the issue once I returned with the car because I was out of town at the time. He then being to make threats that he would report the car stolen. I had to call corporate do to the issues that now over 700 dollars had been compromised on my credit card. Needless to say I will never use enterprise again. Thankfully my money was refunded but the entire situation was a complete headache. read more

The store itself is great. Although I reserved a car online, they did not have anything but a van at the time I needed it. I went later in the day and rented a Corolla. The car itself was terrible. The gas gauge went from full to 1/4 tank after 120 miles (did this 4 times-including the gas warning light coming on once). 2.5 hours into a 4.5 hour ride, my back was killing me. I called enterprise 800. If I would have passed an open store, I would have stopped and switched that vehicle. I was going to switch at my destination, but conference hours started and ended prior to and after store closing. I do not recommend renting a corolla for long drives. The car was mostly clean except cup holders were very sticky. Surprised at stains on seats with car only having 22K miles. They did discount price some. Next time, I will make sure I reserve a larger vehicle. Rented a Chevrolet last time and it was very comfortable. read more

We have rented from Enterprise quite a few times in the past with varying degrees of satisfaction. Mostly though, they will average a 3.5-4 star. No longer. I've NEVER been this disappointed in a business, but since they are the only rental company available locally, they have a monopoly and their bottom line stays pretty much the same regardless of the ineptitude and apathy they demonstrate. The car is a no smoking car. It smells like an ashtray, has a burn hole in the seat, was signed out as having no damage, but looks like it has lived a part of its life off road. It was FILTHY, inside and out when we picked it up. And just so you don't think I'm giving them a hard time, I was pulled over by law enforcement today. Why? You may ask... Because the license plate expired on the car OVER A YEAR AGO!!! Thanks for that. I truly LOVE having my life turned inside out because of someone else's incompetence. That's a couple hours I can't get back. Stupid, ignorant, apathetic excuses for humanity, right there. Total waste of good oxygen. read more

If you're looking for a terrible car rental experience, this is the place. I called last week to reserve a car, and 1) they unfortunately did not have a suitable car on that day I first needed a car. 2) They said they'd have plenty of appropriate cars this next morning, I booked for next pick up at my house over the phone with local office personnel and confirmed again with an online form that my insurance company. (AMICA) jointly developed with them (their preferred rental co) to expedite the check-in process. 3) After waiting 30-45 minutes for my pick-up, I finally called the store to find out what happened and I was put on hold for over 30 minutes. 4) After finally getting to talk with someone, I was told they knew I had a 9:15 appointment to get a car, but nothing was in the system about a pick-up. 5). I was then told it would be at least another 30-45 minutes for someone to pick me up because he was only one in store and could not not leave. 6) I was finally picked up 45 minutes later and of course they did not have any of the cars available that we had discussed. 6). The only one ready was a "black on black" Corolla which they said I could switch out for a Lght colored Camry later that day. 7) when I came back later that day, of course there were no available cars and they said they would call me when the first was available. 8) Two days later when I had not received a call. I returned to see if a Camry or comparable was available, and of course none were. 9) The remote for the Corolla never worked, and when I returned to get a replacement, they, of course, did not have one. 10) As this was happening, I shared my experience on the Enterprise Customer Service website, and, of course, was never contacted. 11) Because the Enterprise website has no Customer Service telephone number listed anywhere on any of their links, I used a third party to find a number, and spoke to the "Customer Service Manager" who said she would look into this and follow up with me. 12) It has now been a week since I spoke with the corporate Customer Service Manager, and as you might guess, I have not heard a word either over the phone or email. I have advised my insurance company of this problem and told them I would never use Enterprise again. I hope thus never happens to you and that you will heed this warning and not use Enterprise and advise others to do likewise. In all of their ads, Enterprise brags about being a "family owned" business unlike other corporations. What a joke! All I can say is that their family must be the most dysfunctional family on the planet. read more

Worse experience i've ever had with any rental company. They don't value there customers at this location. A small problem that could've been easily resolved turned into a much larger issue. I was forced to pay for a tire that was already low pressure when i received it. I had always rented from this location so when my A/c went out in my car just before a working vacation to Florida I went online made a reservation. Great car EXCEPT THE PASSENGER SIDE bumper came off. I tried to place it back on which it did then after the first 5 miles it came off again. I called Enterprise Road Side Assistance and after 45 minutes I hung up. I called Customer Service and got a recording of the time that the location that I was was not open yet but, I was standing at the location. As I traveled with my work threw Florida I stopped at one not two but a total of 5 enterprise locations from St Augustine to Daytona to Jacksonville but not one location could have given a flip that I was driving a unsafe car.. So I had to use the vacation part of this trip to work because , I wasted my time and money going to Enterprises that would not help.When I spoke with the area Manger today it was like talking to a brick wall. Can anyone take ownership of this problem? The fact that I wasted more money than the rental cost. Who trained these people? read more

I made a reservation online for a vehicle at my local branch in Concord and they called me the of the pickup saying they have no vehicle available for me that day. I was super furious and worried because my weekend was already planned. So they called me again said they have a car ready for me for pickup in Salisbury, NC.So I went and got one. The manager there name Mathew was so super nice helping me forget my worries for the weekend. I wish all who work with customers were all like Mathew. The wait means the office on the other end will be closed when I get there. Crummy service. Turns out the location has moved. This place is a joke! I called to reserve a car and to find out the total price of renting said car for 9 days. When i went to pick it up the price went up 275 dollars. I asked why and the explanation i got made no sense so i asked again and i was told " let me slow this down so you can keep up and understand" in a very smart ass tone all while the manager stood there looking off into space . At this point i had enough and told the jackass behind the counter that for the 800 dollars he was trying to charge me to rent the cheapest car they offer for 9 days that i could go buy another car and demanded my card back. I used a rental from Enterprise arranged by my Insurance (Geico) as my car received work from a wreck. On the phone with my insurance they called Enterprise on 3-way to arrange a time for them to pick me up. We discussed a time range for the next day. The next morning I received a call within our discussed timeframe saying they were on their way. 10 minutes later I received a call saying he was outside. When we arrived back at the location, we did the paperwork and he asked me to wait because he was going to go in the back and help them clean out my car. About 5-10 minutes later I was ready to go. The process was extremely smooth and the guy helping me was very friendly. When my car was ready for the body shop I returned the rental to the location, she did the checkout process and examined the car and she closed me out. She then had someone take me to the dealership to pick up my car. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Great experience! read more

This is one task I don't care to handle, but...from the first phone call, to the last handshake with the manager, my husband and I are pleased with the customer service, knowledge of available vehicles and friendliness of all whom we talked to. This is the first time we have rented a car here, and we are very pleased with how stressless it was. I checked the reviews on YELP! Before deciding who to call to rent a vehicle. Even though we changed our vehicle choice twice, I wasn't made to feel like a difficult customer. The location was nearby for pickup. I was given a good price quote, even after all my questions. We also appreciate the willingness to work with our pickup and return time request. So far we say 4 stars....only because we haven't made our trip yet, and so we don't know what to expect from the vehicle. Hopefully it will be an uneventful trip! As in no breakdowns. I needed to rent a car for my birthday. I asked my grandfather to take me to hertz however we ended up at enterprise.
