Reserved a car online Sunday and received email confirmation it would be ready for pickup Monday at 10:30. I needed the car before noon, but received a call at 8:14, Monday, stating they did not have one ready and wouldn't before late afternoon or Tuesday. I had no transportation to go to another site and when I asked if they did, indeed, pick up customers as advertised, the guy stated they do, but the closest site in Groves, TX, doesn't go outside their own city to pick up. Reviewed them on BBB and found this is a very common issue with them. Beware! Updating my review due to after-the-fact very good customer service by the manager. They did eventually get me a car, but not by when I needed it. Still, their service after that date was superb. I showed up there 30 minutes before they closed, over 200 miles from home and needing to go further to pick up my husband the next morning and a van that wouldn't run properly. I was in what felt like a hopeless situation and they found a way to help get me into a car to use overnight. They turned a terrible situation into a much better one. Now I can pick my husband up in the morning and take the car back and then get my van taken to a shop without having to feel stressed. They were so friendly and made my two daughters so happy. I called this morning to make a reservation. Made the reservation for 12 noon. I was called by the local branch and said they didn't have any vehicles available. They said they would probably have something later in the afternoon. I called back about 1:30 pm and they still didn't have anything. Some returns are coming in later. I asked will I have a vehicle today? She said it's not guaranteed. I told her I needed it today because I have to work tomorrow. She stated then why'd you make the reservation today? Well, excuse me! I wasn't aware that my vehicle would break down and have to be left at the shop. What an uncalled-for remark!! My wife and I have always used Enterprise when we were in Colorado and never had a problem getting vehicles. Don't know what the problem is with the Orange, Tx location, maybe just a smaller shop. Still, I didn't appreciate the comment, especially in my current predicament. read more
