The counter customer service sucks and I was given a dirty car, with no washer fluid, and with brake issues. The location is convenient and I've rented here for years, but there is not much consistency or efficiency in how things are done. The people that have taken me out to the car and taken payment are usually great-unless it's the counter person-but other than that I've seen the level of service consistently go down. I recommend you go to a different location or pack your patience. They seem to have a revolving door of employees too, which may be a part of the problem. read more

The cars are poorly maintained. I needed to rent from them for about a month to get back and forth to work. The front end of the car was out-of-line, battery light came on, engine light came on, and there was no window washing fluid. I paid over $300 a week for clown size car. However, when I returned for another reservation weeks later, I was told--after arriving--that I needed two utility bills and three references due to a system "flag." This is by far not the typical seamless Enterprise service that you may be accustomed to. Please note the other poor reviews and use caution at this location, for they are all very accurate representations of the exceptionally poor customer service you will likely experience here. Ashlee Miller (the branch manager) of this location treats this store like the Wild West, permitting rentals to individuals only as she sees fit. You can find several other reviews of her negative conduct on Google as well. Today, December 22, 2024, I went to this location to conduct business, and upon arrival, I was greeted by Ashlee. Without cause, I was almost immediately scrutinized with suspicion as if she believed I had fraudulent intentions in tandem with an uncalled-for attitude. I explained to her that I am an Enterprise Plus member and have rented from Enterprise (Every Day) consecutively for the last two years and until today was one of their most loyal customers. On my reservation she noted I have a company discount code. For the first time in 10 years, I was told I would need to provide proof my company permits me to use it. As my job requires me to travel the country, my company does permit the use of this code to be attached to my reservation but does not explicitly provide written documentation stating this. I provided her a pay stub from my company with my name on it, which did not suffice, so I told her to just remove the code if she saw fit to avoid any more hassle. She persisted in asking me my intentions with the rental and confirmed the drop-off location being a different location in Macon. I expressed to her that my wife and I were dropping off an existing rental through National at the airport because I cannot one way with National to Macon, as they do not have a rental location nearby.This semi-complex situation confused her, to which she responded she could not permit me to rent from her location and deleted my reservation. In conclusion, I was forced to drive to the airport and procure a substantially more costly rental from them, as they were readily capable of resolving the dilemma. This unprofessional behavior is the last thing a vetted customer of Enterprise would expect from a "branch manager." As the face of Enterprise, patience and understanding should be the response to loyal customers, not distrust and interrogation without any probable cause. Enterprise, please consider better customer service training for your Mcdonough branch, as this seems to be a chronic issue after reviewing many other similar reviews of this location. And to the overly generic and poorly designed response this may likely receive from the "Enterprise (Owner)" tasked for saving face in public relations, I have already reached out to customer service and upper management. This review and others like it on alternative review sites, simply stand as a warning to other potential Enterprise customers as well as employees seeking to work here as I do not expect Enterprise will take any action for corrective implementation. I booked a reservation a week in advance to go out of town. on the day of reservation enterprise had no cars and told me it will be a 2 hour wait and it wasn't Guaranteed. So I had to drive 45 minutes out my way to go to the airport to get a rental. As a big corporation a simple phone call would have helped greatly so because of their inconsideration for people's time. I book online for a 12 PM pickup... my wife is still sitting there at 330 with these morons saying "we are waiting for cars to be returned" so you rented me a vehicle you don't even have... now that's great business. I've used this location twice not and although the people are nice they never have cars available or enough staffing. The wait will always be an hour PLUS. Please do not use this location if you need to be somewhere at a specific time. You won't make it. Honestly, the lack of cars available is unacceptable. You are failing to deliver on the one thing people are coming to you for--A car!! I was told I was waiting for the cars to get an oil change but as soon as we got on the road we got a "maintenance needed" notice. I contacted corporate and they said i could exchange it at any Enterprise location and I will be doing just that. The car also had very little gas, was very dirty inside, and smelled. I reserved a 15 passenger van over a month ago to take students to six flags. I stopped by last week and was told we are good to go. (Me double checking). I was dropped off at 7:30 (opening time) and there is no van. The van is "scheduled" to be dropped off at 9:00 "in conyers". I asked to have the van to be dropped off at the church since it is closer than this store to conyers. I was then refused a shuttle to the church (9.7 miles) because it would inconvenience them. Just got in a car accident not to long ago and I was heading there to pick up a car for my rental. When I got there he was talking about a truck and I'm like I can't drive a truck because I'm 4'11, it's too big for me, bad on gas, and I got hit by one so no thank you!! He said give him a second so he can show me options. Minutes when by and they told me to come outside and they showed me a truck. I told them I wasn't able to drive a truck and I thought they were showing me options. But, no it was something I was driving. They said if I come back Monday I will receive a car. I called and now they're saying we only have trucks at the moment. even before I pulled of the parking lot cars were being brought inside. I asked can I get a car and the man going to say they're being rented. I literally had to put gas 3 times in that truck. I advised them that I am a student and don't have that kind of money to be putting into a truck. 10/10 wouldn't recommend!!! And they said they wouldn't reimburse me anything. literally I had to put $50 in the tank to make it a half when I used to drive a Nissan that takes $15 dollars for gas!! read more

Got a vehicle through a warranty group. The allowance is no more than $40 a day but when I get there, they telling me the cheapest car they have is $45, so I had to pay tge differenceout of pocket. It has never been like that before. I checked their website and the prices on their vehicle has went up extremely. My insurance company put in a reservation on Oct 6th for me to pick up a vehicle. I was called by Enterprise stating they had no vehicles. The representative told me to call back on Monday (4 days later) I requested a nearby alternative was told I had to call around myself. I did and no one had vehicles. I called on Monday to get the same response requested to talk with supervisor; rep told me no. Had my insurance company call the next day was informed they wouldn't have a vehicle for another 5 days. At this point its just unacceptable. Called on the 4th day because definitely needed a vehicle to be told they have a vehicle on the 14th and scheduled me an appointment at 11:30am. I requested for them to pick me up because that is what they have on their website and have done it before for me when I rented from them. The rep told me no they no longer provide that service. I get there to be told that there are 5 people ahead of me. So clearly that is not an appointment. She couldn't give me an estimated time frame as to when a vehicle will be ready as to I had scheduled appointments to get to since I thought I was coming to pick up a vehicle and leave not to sit and wait until an undetermined time frame. As I am waiting I see the enterprise van pull up and drop off a man and I immediately went inside to inquire because I was told that the service was no longer provided but they gave me some excuse about he was an exception. So finally a vehicle is ready and it's very small. I drive a luxury SUV (alfa romeo) and need something with space to provide for my family. The vehicle was also dirty on the wheels and tires. I asked the rep were they going to clean the car and he informed me that it just came from the wash but they don't clean the wheels nor dry the vehicle off. There was dirt all over the tires and wheels so I requested another vehicle not only for that but also it was very small and very low to the ground. (health concerns as well) He informed me that this is the only vehicle or I won't get a vehicle. I even suggested I can wait even longer. He said once he give this vehicle to someone else I won't get a vehicle. The next day when I went to start the vehicle it made a sound and the service required and a picture of a wrench showed on the screen. I immediately called Enterprise and requested to bring the vehicle back to trade the vehicle out and was told that it was okay to drive with the service required and wrench. I informed the rep that it was not acceptable for me and that I don't feel safe or secure driving a vehicle with that on it especially when I just got into a car accident and want a safe and reliable vehicle. It's been 9 days since that call and I have yet to receive another vehicle and have called other offices and they refer me back to the office I received the vehicle from. This has definitely afftected my day to day routine and activities because I don't feel safe driving around in the vehicle. This is unacceptable and the customer service is horrible. read more

Be extremely careful with this shady location. They will outright lie to you about your reservation cost and will add an additional charge and say it's a "deposit". Check your invoice carefully, they did not place the $200 deposit in a separate line item on the invoice, rather they included it in the rental total. When we returned the car, undamaged, no smoking, and no pets, they claimed there wasn't a deposit and in fact the final invoice was $200 higher than our reservation that was made online. We didn't upgrade either or modified our reservation in any way, we had a Nissan Versa. After several calls and false promises that a manager would call us back to rectify the issue, none of that has happened. We ended up filing a partial chargeback dispute with our credit card company and provided all emails/invoices/correspondence. Now Enterprise is threatening to send us to collections instead of trying to rectify this with us. They outright lied to us. We have given this company a lot of business from vacation to insurance to business rentals over the years. No more. This location and experience was extremely disappointing. Because of this experience we will no longer be doing business with Enterprise and have shared with our family, friends, and co-workers to avoid this company. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!! 9 months pregnant I rented a pickup truck to pickup items for my babies room. Upon returning the vehicle I left my wallet in the driver door and they stole my wallet. I made a reservation in advance for a car an on the day of pickup they tell me that they don't have any cars available. I wish I could give them half a star. Unprofessional, unaccommodating, and never have the vehicles that you request to book online! Don't allow customers to reserve what you don't have available. And if you don't have the vehicle, at least try to get it or accommodate them in another way. It's always something with this location.
