Rental I am going to explain what my definition of customer service is. As well know, by this point, I had a horrible experience with the UPS in MAULDIN and Justin's reply added insult to injury. I also had a bad experience with the enterprise in Mauldin. There were damages to the vehicle that caused injuries to one of the passengers. They were unable to answer my phone call after I called for over an hour, I was given this information by the customer service number and it wound up costing me two additional days in car rental. I did call the 1800 number to complain. They said that I would have to take it up with the local store as apparently that is the new answer to all concerns. I spoke with Hannah, the assistant manager of the Enterprise in Mauldin. She patiently listened to my concerns about the injury, she apologized that there was no answer and did not make excuses. All I wanted her to know about was the injury because I did not want that to happen to someone else in the future. I also did not want to pay for two additional days where I did not have the vehicle as I had returned it. Hannah immediately acknowledged the error from the 1800 number and refunded me the two additional days they were trying to charge me. She then said she would make sure that the repairs were made on the van so that no further injury to anyone else would happen. It was a peaceful interaction, where Hannah took responsibility for their service failure. We are all human and errors are made. I don't expect anyone to be perfect but I do expect them to afford me respect when I address concerns. With that being said, great job Hannah. Thank you Enterprise Rentals for hiring people that care about customer experience. Prior to that interaction with Hannah. I would not have used the enterprise in Mauldin again, after speaking with her and understanding her sincere concern, I will use them again in the future. I believe in addressing concerns when they're valid and I believe in giving praise to the same degree. read more

I have been a faithful customer for the past three years since I've lived in the area. I've formerly rented multiple vehicles under one business credit card before, but I was told by one employee that these occurrences didn't happen and then another employee that whoever rented this way to us before was not supposed to do that. A little consistency and not being gaslit would be great. I continued to ask questions about possible solutions, and was met with rudeness from a third employee. I matched his rudeness after that, which I don't think he appreciated. This man then told me my issue could be worked around by creating a business rental account, but we don't qualify for it because we need to travel 10 days a month. (He failed to mention that when he recommended this, but I would hope he would know about this requirement. I'm assuming he did, and just wanted to push me off onto someone else). Prior to this year, I've had nothing but positive interactions with the staff here. I don't know what has changed, but I am frustrated and disappointed. Please hire better employees or bring the old ones back. read more

I'm fairly new to renting vehicles. All the staff at this location have been super helpful. I ran into an issue on my end because we just moved out of state so I had a reservation not knowing I needed a credit card or a SC license it just didn't cross my mind. Ended up having to rush to DMV to get my state license. They were extremely nice and understanding and were able to hold it until I got there. read more

I've been renting with them since August. Let's just say that's "not cheap". The previous manager was great, portrayed great customer service, & was very considerate of my situation. This new manager Steven is very rude, doesn't communicate well or at all for that matter, return my 5 emails, 7 text messages, promised me the matched lower rate then 4hrs later told me he couldn't honor it. Then to top it off, I tell him that I'm with my son in the hospital I'll be there by 5, he emails me back with "return the vehicle & put keys in the box". How rude! How heartless! Wow, Enterprise. I've actually tried to reach out to him & pay, get a cheaper rental, etc. He doesn't respond to me period! Another employee told me to just bring in my money & when I got there to pay, Steven left a note to take my keys!!!!! I have small kids in school, I received a new job, & my husband also works. So now what! How are you going to just take someone out of the vehicle, that's been trying to pay you! So today.... I'm left with no vehicle, didn't go to work, & no way to get my kids from school @3. He's very unprofessional!!!! Now, someone wants me to pay a whole other deposit plus these high holiday rates!!! Thinking of Renting a Car Soon? I do NOT recommend the Mauldin Branch of Enterprise Rent a Car. They do not plan for your arrival, even after you have scheduled it online for weeks ahead. You will also be subjected to a paultry choice of vehicles (if they even have one for you) which in my latest case was not clean and stunk inside. Their local, regional and national customer care is lame and practically non-existent. Oh and now they charge you if they have to come to jump your rental. My suggestion is to look elsewhere. I for one am done with them after being brushed off by their customer care on my last two rentals. And yes, I wrote to their Care email address and got a boiler plate, lame excuse for a reply. No consideration whatsoever for my inconvenience. I was told a Regional manager would be in touch. To date, NO ONE from the local or regional office has attempted to contact me. Run! read more

Rented a car. Should be simple enough. It wasn't. Thanks to K-mart level customer service from a girl named "brea" (I don't have the slightest clue how to spell her name, nor do I particularly care) Got a call that they "didn't have any cars left at their location". Ok, I said, no problem, which other locations do? "Dunno, ummm, you'll have to call around." When I asked why do I, the customer, need to call around your numerous other enterprise locations, why don't YOU "call around" YOUR other locations and see where a car is available.... she replied: "Cuz you're the one who rented the car" Then she literally copped a junior high attitude, and placed the call on hold without asking or notifying. Just immediate hold music, like she was twelve years old. The circus wasn't over. After sitting on a forever hold, I called back, only to reach a guy named "Davis" who proceeded to "uhhhh" and "ummmm" and not exactly inspire confidence in his ability to address the issue, or even give me the name of who i spoke to. (Literally took me asking him five times) Look. I get. It isn't easy to find good help nowadays. But What.......a humiliating failure of professionalism. With regard to customer service and simply obtaining a rental car. Simply rolled off their shoulder, "sorry". Well--" you sir are not in a pinch here with no means of transportation" Your complete insincere apology is not accepted. Even after the fact: I had to call them "earlier that day" and discover my reserved pickup location was temporarily shut down due to Covid-19 and I had to UBER almost 20 miles from work to this facility. Which was the only open location nearest me. In order to pickup my weekend rental. Just to discover "sorry, nothing I can do". Even after I have rented many vehicles, on numerous and very recent occasions, from enterprise with the same exact Card. I am not from here and I don't know many people at all to ask for a ride, more or less, borrow a car. I was left standing in the parking, no car, no ride, all weekend arrangements canceled, missing a family birthday gathering "which was the same day I was suppose to pickup"---- All in all with NO resolve. But to walk or Uber. Which I mind you, had just paid almost $40 just to get there. No notification from them whatsoever: of a different pickup location, zero indication that the car - facility "which I ALREADY HAD RESERVED for pickup" was shutdown and vehicle unobtainable. I can use method of payment to reserve, but not pay? As IVE ALREADY DONE BEFORE ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS? OH this is new policy I was told, oh wait no actually this has always been the policy and ALL OF MY PREVIOUS RENTALS were conducted improperly and should not have ever happened? I was told. How about getting your IT department OR WHOMEVER and make these new policies or updated changes on reservation details MORE EXPLICIT!! With as much clarity necessary. In order to NOT leave a client helpless: with every level of INCONVENIENCE YOU CAN FATHOM, one may endure over a not so lovely 3 day weekend. Apologies for this long and likely disorganized review / post. Still very aggravated from the entire situation and more so than anything, upset I have no means of transportation to do anything and also having to CANCEL ALL OF MY WEEKEND Plans/arrangements. Only now, to inconvenience and rely on others for a ride when needed or fork out more money to Uber. Which is still always an option. I could agree. Just not a feasible one. read more

I had such great service at Enterprise in Mauldin. The gentleman, Cameron, who helped me was very polite and very easy to work with. I made a reservation online because it was after hours. Then I called first thing in the morning to arrange for a pick up service. Cameron was here to pick me up and bring me in to pick up the vehicle I reserved. I was in and out of their office within 10 minutes! The car I rented was very well maintained and fit my kids and I perfectly. If ever we need to rent a car again, I'm going to directly to Cameron!! read more

Good experience in renting a SUV for several days after an accident totaled my car. They met my needs and were very professional.

Do not rent at this Enterprise location you should walk before bothering to get a car here. After an awful experience I called to speak with the manager and was left on hold for 20 minutes then told that she would certainly call me back which of course she never did. The most ironic thing about my experience was listening 15 minutes to the ad on the phone while you wait it talks about it being simple and a family and how great and caring they are!! read more

This company was great to deal with. Bria was the best! My jeep needed emergency repairs while I was traveling from Georgia to North Carolina. I thought we would need a rental car. When Bria came to pick us up I had just found out the repairs could be completed and we didnt need rental. She was so understanding and sweet. read more
