Got off the plane 45 minutes ago and STILL waiting on line. All other rental car companies had at least 2 representatives working...not Enterprise. Worst experience renting a car ever! I did go to Hertz. They were willing to give me a car with for same price however my cost was tied into the ticket so they were not able to help me. When I finally got to the counter after all that time they redeemed themselves a little bit by giving me a BMW

They checked me out with speed. Rates were fair and they had an airport counter with the cars just outside the door. Gave me options of what car I wanted in the class or one near it. I love Enterprise. Usually cheaper than the others and if flying, then they don't hold additional monies on my card. They'll take a debit card with no worries.

Great service, we opted to upgrade for an extra $10.00 a day, good deal but all the add on tax crap doubled the price.

Mirek Sharp is an inept "branch" manager. National Customer Service noted a car swap which Mirek declined to assist or process. Luckily the location at the Tampa Airport came through with best in class customer service not only a van but even saved me gas with a hybrid. Customer service failure and no response for resolution!!!…read more Late one night, I recently rented a car in Houston, the next morning in the parking garage at my apartment the alarm was screaming as well as flashing and the car wouldn't start. After more than eight hours and seven phone calls, the car was finally towed, for some reason, National decided to charge me for two days, even though they were unwilling to bring me a replacement car. I've called National, I've emailed National and I've turned in a customer complaint with National. Auto responses, no one at National cares enough to communicate with me. I've been a national executive member various companies for more than 20 years yet can not get anyone to respond to me. My relationship with National is definitely over, ridiculous that something so easy can't get resolved.

I rented a SUV from Avis in April of 2025 from the Clearwater/ St.Petersburg airport to drive to…read moreFt. Lauderdale cruise port. When I picked up the car the facility was very busy, I guess due to spring break time. I was pointed to the car and shown where the exit was. The car was terribly stained with hardwater marks and I had strain to see while driving into the afternoon sun. When arriving home I noticed that the interior was dirty and had not been vacuumed. Food debris was all over the mats and seats. Furthermore, I found an empty food container of tuna fish salad along with eating implements stuffed in the door side panel. Not having time to go back to the Avis facility I washed the windows since I would be leaving in morning darkness and concerned about being able to see well in the dark. When I turned the car in at Ft. Lauderdale I advised the check in person of my experience and was told someone would contact me and make things right. Well of course that never happened. Even after calling Avis customer service a couple weeks later and promised an escalated callback, nothing! So, since I rented through Costco Travel I gave them a call. They were very nice and over many weeks of checking back finally Avis sent me a coupon for a free one day rental, cool huh. When I booked my next rental from Avis, guess what, the only car the coupon was good for was a limited distance electric car. Wow was I pissed! I travel to Ft.Lauderdale from Clearwater often. Would you want to trust a limited distance electric car for the trip, not me! So now it's nearly October and nothing from Avis or CostcoTravel. Avis really sucks so I would wholeheartedly not recommend using them.

My rental experience started terribly when I received a vehicle at your 4037 66th St North…read morelocation. I received a vehicle that smelled so strongly like cigarette smoke that I requested to exchange it. Not only was the agent at this location dressed like she was going to do laundry, but she had a horrible attitude, talking about her personal life and issues with her ex-partner to the customers before us in line taking her sweet time. She informed me they had no more vehicles available and that I would have to drive to the St. Petersburg airport or Tampa airport to exchange the vehicle, which I did causing me to miss my dinner reservation and delay the errands I still had to complete before my weekend getaway for my boyfriend's surprise birthday. I had to go through two more exchanges before I finally received a third car that was in working order. The second car given to me at PIE had a flat tire and I had to turn around and exchange it for the third car. I finally ended up with a third car after 10 PM that night when my rental journey started at 5:30 PM that same day it took me almost 6 hours to get an acceptable vehicle. But here's why I have PIE a "10." Even though my rental experience was not perfect, once I arrived at PIE Chris, another female representative (I forgot her name), and Ronnie were EXTREMELY professional in calming my frustrations and remained courteous making the situation right to the best of their abilities. Chris and Ronnie are both awesome, as well as the female agent. "Great customer service isn't displayed when everything is going right, great customer service is displayed when things do not go as planned, but are made right in the face of difficulty," which Chris and Ronnie both did. They are both assets to AVIS's Rent-A-Car at PIE, and because of their professionalism, I will continue to be a customer in the future.
