From beginning to end my experience was flawless. I am really surprised as I've rented from a LOT of different rental companies and this place was the best experience to date! From the moment I came in there was a friendly face greeting me, took me outside to see the car immediately (no waiting), we did a walk around the car, checked the gas, I was handed the keys and was on my way. I recently rented from your Chapman Road location in Chattanooga and have been renting from that location for several years. The shuttle driver, Gavin (not a normal driver, just filling in that day) was very polite and apologetic for being late (with good reason) - he worked to get me to the store as soon as possible. The sales staff, Tyler and Lachlan, were very polite, as well, and very helpful with my rental process - both very professional. Upon my return today, 02-16-2026, I dealt with Lachlan again, as well as, Kayla, and they, too, were very friendly and helpful with that process, as well. The shuttle driver (Charles, I think) was very pleasant as well, and got me to my return destination promptly. The car rented, VW Jetta, was very comfortable and drove well. All in all, a very good experience and I would recommend this particular location to those seeking a replacement/rental car...consistency would be the work to describe this particular branch! read more

I was staying in Pigeon Forge and had to change my plans and fly out of Chattanooga so I rented a car.... they made my day by giving me the challenger. When I came to return the car at this location; the employees were all very friendly. I asked if they could give me a ride to the airport (since its in the motto). The check in was quick. But 2 days after we returned the car this "professionals" send us a report that they use our insurance to pay for repair. I had to rent a car while mine was being repaired. The kid they had working for Enterprise seemed to be a nice guy. He told me that could I purchase the extra ins for the first 5 days then he would call me to see if I wanted to extend it. He did not call back so I assumed that he was not going to add any more charges. Then when I took the car back he had added all these charges that I did not agree on . He said he told me it would be for the life of the contract. He lied he did not tell me that. I will send out on Social Media how that weasel took advantage of me. I have rented from Enterprise for 20 years, and this is the worst experience I've ever had by far. I called 3 times during the day to see if my car was ready. They told me it would be 4:30 at the earliest but that they would call me if it was ready earlier. When I arrived at 4:45, they told me they had just rented my car. My husband is a Contractor and his truck was in the shop for repairs. We drove to Enterprise on a Monday morning and in less than 30 mins. he was off to work in a nice rental truck. Eray (sp?) was the gentleman who helped us with the rental. He was professional, polite and friendly. We returned the truck a few days early because his vehicle was done with the needed repairs. Enterprise quickly refunded us for the unused days on the rental agreement with no hassle at all. We would highly recommend this location for all of your rental car/truck needs. After having the worst time with the Hixson branch I had to switch to this location. I'm glad I did. I had a pick up set for 10 am this morning. I called to confirm this time, as the previous day was a pick up delay issue. They said my time was set but they have a lot of pick ups, and because they booked it for me off site. They may be a little behind. I thanked them for being honest and told them I would follow up. As I still don't have my own car due to a collision on Saturday, and got called in to work I was in a pickle. So I called them and asked how close, where they called the driver. She was going to be a bit longer, and I thanked them but told them I would have to Uber. Upon getting there my car was ready to go! They knew I was in a rush and had me ready. The guy walked me through everything, and although he was a little pushy with the insurance. I understood because I work in sales, but declined as I was covered 100%. I got in my car and headed to work! I always have such a wonderful experience with them at this location!!! read more

My 85 year old dad rented a car for 7 weeks. His car was delayed in the body shop. He started with a monthly rental for around $1100. He then went to weekly (twice) for around $380. He was then required to sign another agreement at the rental location. For some reason the price ballooned to $125 a day. They should be ashamed to take advantage of a very old man read more

Not happy with this place. Rented a car because mine went down paid an extension on Friday. Then was told it was time to rewrite the rental agreement. Went in to take care of it and was told we cannot rewrite agreement. So went out side to talk about it. Came back in to ask about 1 day extension and was told I already canceled the contract. Left us stranded with no hope. A change in policy they said but was NEVER notified of the new change. This place will leave you stranded and has plenty of excuses to use. Rented a car from the W 20th Street location last month. I'm from Florida and my vehicle broke down in Chattanooga while I was driving to Sevierville to meet up with family for the weekend. The guy who picked me up at my hotel was also the same person who ended up taking me back to the next week to pick up my vehicle after it was fixed. I forgot his name but I know he was fairly new. He was the sweetest guy. I was by myself with my 2 little girls and he loaded & unloaded all of our stuff for us both times. Dropped us off at McDonalds while we were waiting for my personal vehicle to get finished up. Can't say enough nice things about him. Everyone else in the office was very kind and helpful too. Made my bad situation much easier to deal with! I highly recommend this Enterprise location to anyone! read more

Do not rent from here I recently got a click/ they pick rental I was put in a bottom of the line car This car had semi- bad tires- the clerk checked them before renting The clerk also knew the cars cruise control was broken In addition there was an issue with the steering wheel - you had to grip it as if your arm was the jaws of life When i got to the destination and back home my arms ached like i had chopped wood all day I took the car to a station at the beach and they said it wasnt power steering fluid The clerk said it had a half a tank of gas - it didnt it had a quarter of a tank The clerk also said he could put me in a car for a FEE b/c the cruise control was broken The clerk when describing the loss collision insurance wanted to know who i had insurance through as if that is any of his business - when i said i was over insured How they get away calling it 'insurance' is beyond me and likely illegal . They told us it would be $122.74 and to have the van back on Monday before 5pm. We took the van back at 3pm on Monday. They took another days rental out of my mom's account. When she tried to call them about it they were rude and put her on indefinite hold. I called down there and the manager Mason was extremely rude to me as well. Is this the kind of name enterprise wants for themselves? Rude employees who lie and steal? After confronting the manager several times she got a promise of a refund. If I could rate them less than a one I would. The Hixson location gave me what I would say was the worst experience of my life !!! I rented the car cause my own car had a couple of fender benders that made it undriveable. On about 9/2/21 I turned in a claim to my insurance, Hooper Ins. co in Cleveland, TN. They are basically a broker for your ins. They decided Penn, National was right for me.. Upon having two mishaps in Sept., they fixed me up with Enterprise on Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN. I got a rental and started out in my name with the understanding that Penn National would take over and refund $ from Enterprise. Weeks went by and I'm still in a rental care even now on 11/10/2021. Penn National has several local adjusters and estimators. I've dealt with 2 adjusters and 2 estimators and have done most of the work thatHooper Ins. should have done. Then I noticed that Enterprise charged my checking account not only for 3 days but also the 300 deposit. So I went over to talk about it and the person in charge gave me a copy of when they sent $ to the card I charged it on which was my debit card that I'd had replaced. So, I went in and told them that it had been replaced and had a different number than the previous ck card. They assured me that the money would be put back into my account within 72 hrs. So today was 72 hrs,, and no $$ pending. So I go back in and tell the girl what I think is the problem with the number..She needed to stop payment on the first dep and dep to the new ck card #! I even brought proof from my cking account. She then said she couldn't stop payment. At that point, I'd had it b/c she said it was up to me to deal with the ck card issue. Push came to shove and she went out and sat in my rental and told me it wasn't my car but hers. she then took my garage door remote and said I'd get it back if I gave her the keys to rental. I was then unloading the rental and she snatched the keys from me and snickered. Then one of her cohorts came and parked a car behind rental and locked up and went home. I called police and they had more important things to do . I sat there in a dark parking lot, freezing until I finally called Uber who picked me up and took me home. I'm 72 yrs old and they couldn't care less that I could freeze , be maimed, or worse. Just drove off and left me. To say that I'm upset is an understatement. I plan to file a complaint and a lawsuit if needed so more elderly clients don't have to go through what I went through. By the way, the Ins. co had oked the rental for 3 more days and I told her that. Gross incompetence, poor hr skills to say the least. Tried to rent a car. Wouldn't except my debit card. It's an online bank. The guy, don't know his name said it had to be a brick an mortar bank. Lol Couldn't be just an online bank. It was a Chime Visa card. Went to Cleveland , Enterprise on Lee Hwy ,closer to home. Rented a car with no problems yes using my chime visa card. I might add every employee in the Cleveland store was very nice . The Chattanooga Enterprise store had no air conditioner & it was so hot you could barely breath in there. The guy "looked" up the Chime Visa card on his phone to see if they except it. I guess they must have a list of debit cards they except lol.....it was a Visa debit card. He kept calling it a "prepaid card" I told him several times it wasn't a Pre paid card. That's what happens when you give a moron a little power..... the power to refuse my debit card. This has got to be the worst place to rent a car in the ENTIRE city of Chattanooga! I called and made a reservation to rent a car. Ok cool no problem. I get a call back "I'm sorry we don't have a car." What?!?! So, I called the 800 number she said "I don't know why they're telling you they don't have a car." She preceded to make a reservation for me. I show up at the appointed time and guess what? No freaking car! I was so incredibly upset! I talked to a manager that didn't know his butt from a hole in the ground! No, for real! I called the 800 number back to file a complaint. I talked to 7 different people and all of them transferred me from person to person. Again, not one single person knew what the hell was going on! I wasn't even able to make a complaint the whole thing was so unorganized! I have never in my 48 years of life had such a HORRIBLE experience with customer service all the way around! WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION! If you are referred by an insurance company to pick up your car at Enterprise, make sure to find out who is responsible for payment. We were hit by someone, their insurance told me they were at fault, and suggested I go to Enterprise on 20th street. I returned the vehicle the day my car was ready, and assumed our transaction was completed. Enterprise did not give me any paperwork that showed I returned the car, and a few day later I noticed that they had charged me for some additional days on my credit card. Enterprise refused to call Allstate, the insurance company, and took the path of least resistance and charged me for the car rental. I would not be writing this if Enterprise had shown some customer service and called the insurance company for me, and tried to resolve the situation. Not happy with them. Service is great. Because this location is always busy, I used a different Enterprise office (in Fort Oglethorpe, GA) a few months ago, and was rewarded with an inferior car--stains on the seats, no cruise control, no upgrade deal as promised in booking. It was true that I didn't have to wait; the office was empty. That's not a good sign. So I've returned to my old friends at 20th Street where I may indeed have to wait a few minutes for my ride, but the car is always clean, serviced, and ready to go. If it's not exactly what I booked, the agent finds another model for me. The employees here are friendly, knowledgeable, and energetic. They are always willing to help and/or to make things right. Again, it's a super-busy location--cars moving in and out constantly--but I've decided now that's a good thing. read more

I always rent from this enterprise b/c they are close to my home and work. I continue to do business with them because they are always pleasant and have wonderful attitudes and it is a great experience. With that said, the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the last time I rented with them, my car was not cleaned out from before. I normally wouldn't have had an issue, but it was pretty yucky. Sticky stuff in the cup holders and dirt and grime on the dash. I cannot even give this rental location one star. This is the second time I have tired to rent a car from this location and the car they have given me has smelled like smoke. Today I called back to return car and I was told they were closing in two minutes and that they could not help me. I said I was five minutes away and could be there and so I was put on hold. This turned out to be really just hung up on. When I call back the phones had already gone to voicemail. I called back and got no answer and nobody reached back out to me. In addition, I explained that I was leaving early in the morning and that I needed to get a new car and the rep told me that I could stop at any enterprise location from chattanooga to raleigh and exchange my car. They were not interested in helping, they were rude and disrespectful. They said they don't intentionally rent out smoky cars and I noted there was an air freshener in the window. Do not rent from this location. They are inconsistent and are not interested in putting the customer first. I made my Car Reservation on-line and received a Confirmation Number via e-mail. Within (10) minutes, I received a phone call from a "Lori" who informed me that they could NOT honor my confirmed reservation however after asking her for the Contact Information of a District/Regional Manager, I soon received a phone call from another Enterprise Representative who had a more positive and customer focused attitude. First off, when I made the reservation to get my car, they missed the agreed upon time by over an hour to pick me up for my rental. I called ahead and requested to know what make and model and year my car would be, but was told that it could be anything and they were thoroughly uncooperative, evasive, and unhelpful. The fact that the car scheduled to pick me up was late caused employees to work overtime which means Enterprise lost money. It would have been even later, except after waiting 40 minutes from the time of my appointment time, I called to see if they were still coming. They realized there was actually a driver nearby and asked him to come by to pick me up as well as the other person he was to pick up. This was very inefficient and a waste of company resources, especially for the customer to have to remind the professional firm that he had not been picked up in a timely manner. Every time I rent from this location, there are always new employees who don't know how to work effectively at their job and make my rental experience worse. Upon arriving at the location, the first car assigned to me smelled like smoke and had a giant brown stain in the back. Hmmm... I was given a different car accordingly, as Austen expressed only the highest customer service when dealing with this need. Also his colleague Kayla was not only friendly but quick to serve and made my rental experience a little better. I was disappointed to see neither of these fine employees of Enterprise when I returned my vehicle and I was very disappointed to have worked with Chad, a manager who was hurried and rude and didn't make any effort to help resolve my requests. I called a few minutes before closing time and spoke to Chad who was confused why I was calling ahead to alert him of my arrival. He did not make me feel valued as Austen and Kayla had. I requested to pay for my one day longer rental than I had planned with my Enterprise Plus points, which I was told the previous day would not be a problem when I called in to elongate my reservation. Chad told me it wasn't possible, then I requested to pay with the Costco rate I had secured, and he still didn't budge. He said the rates are what they are and they were firm. This was not above and beyond customer service. I did not leave pleased to pay a 150% higher overage day than I had expected, and he seemed to only care about getting home. Unlike past experiences where I had been driven home in my car with all of my things, I had to move them to another vehicle and they got sloshed around on the ride home. It wasn't your best day, Enterprise, and I kind of resent the fact that I feel taken advantage of. I would appreciate it if you could pass on the kind words to Kayla and Austen, but I hope to never work with Chad again because he seemed to want to prove a point or dominate me rather than actually help me out with a genuine attitude. In the future I will think twice before renting with Enterprise Downtown Chattanooga, because I expect proactivity, competence, and flexibility from any rental company I utilize and Enterprise of Chattanooga has dropped the ball one too many times. read more
