They did not have the vehicle promised ready, mind you they had a weeks notice of what I needed. So they sent me home in a dirty car that smelled of marajiuana. After 2.5 hrs they call me to tell me my suv is ready. The suv is even worse than the car they gave me. Its smells of puke and was so disgusting on the inside that I had to spend an 1.5 cleaning the inside just to be able to drive it without getting something on my clothes. But the puke smell is overwhelming and nothing I have sprayed has helped. It is beyond ridiculous to send a person out in a vehicles such as these. I DO NOT recommend this place at all. And the best part is they want a 50 dollar deposit for making sure the car is returned in the right condition. This place is laughable at best. read more

I have rented from a different location in the past and had a great experience. Unfortunately my experience in this location was terrible and it seems that there are several others who have had similar experiences. I wish that I would have read the reviews here prior to reserving a vehicle. We reserved an SUV several weeks before a very important trip. I had a pick up time for 10 am. At 9 am I received a call from Jim explaining that they didn't have the SUV yet. He explained that he would have the SUV by early afternoon but quickly offered a sedan so that he could "get me on the road" right away. I thanked him but explained that we rented an SUV specifically because we needed the extra room. He assured me that he would call as soon as the SUV was available. By 2:30 I still hadn't received a call so I called them and spoke to Jim directly. He seemed annoyed that I was calling and checking on the vehicle and once again immediately offered me a sedan so he could "get me on the road". I explained once again that we needed an SUV. When I asked why he didn't have the vehicle that I had reserved he told me he can't just make a vehicle appear. He told me that he had one coming in at 4. We showed up a little after 4 and were told that they still didn't have the vehicle. He again tried to offer a sedan and we explained that we needed an SUV. When my husband questioned why the vehicle we reserved wasn't there he explained that he made several attempts to contact us that morning as if we were being unreasonable because we were refusing a sedan when we requested an SUV. He told my husband that if they got an SUV in that they would call. He called me again around 4:45 which was 45 minutes prior to them closing to say they still didn't have it but that he would call if they got one in. He never called back. We ended up walking into our local Toyota dealership out of desperation because we were scheduled to leave at 5 am the next morning and still had no vehicle after we had wasted an entire day with Jim stringing us along. I am honestly convinced that he never had the SUV to begin with and was just dragging it out long enough that we wouldn't have a choice other than to take the car that he kept trying to push on us. I cannot express enough my disappointment in the lack of service at this Enterprise location. Jim was not helpful in any way and was rude and disrespectful when we questioned him about the availability of our vehicle. I will never return to this location again. From this point forward we won't consider any place other than Toyota. The service there was excellent! read more

I would like to give zero stars. Why? I made a reservation in advance and they told me two days before the reservation that the reservation was confirmed. I went to pick up the car (was dropped off!) and they said they didn't have a car for me and wouldn't have a car for me at all that day. I had to call to get a ride home. They basically pulled the rug out from under me. I do not ever want to do business with enterprise rental car again! This is the worst way to run a business. By they way, when I complained that they didn't have a car, they said they tried to call me that morning. As if calling me at the last minute to let me know they didn't have a car was going to make everything OK. I hate to leave bad reviews. But I think everyone should know about this. read more

We had a reservation made in advance. When we tried to pick up the vehicle, the personnel at Enterprise Carbondale, IL were not able to find the car key of my rental. I cannot believe that this company does not keep a pair of spare keys at their location. We patiently waited for the car to be ready, but they weren't able to fix this problem. After 40 minutes of waiting, they gave us a car that didn't meet our request. Then and after another 45 minutes once we got back home, they called and said they have the car ready for us, which we weren't able to pick it up because we'd already wasted too much time waiting for them to have our car ready. I hope they use this review as feedback to improve their customer service. read more

Technically they deserve zero stars. My son was involved in a car accident, where another driver clipped his car. He needed a rental car while his car was being repaired. I advised him to call Enterprise to see about getting a rental car, so he could get back and forth to work. He called Enterprise and explained to them what happened, and was told someone would come pick him up in about an hour. Three days later my son has yet to receive a rental car! My son called back several times and Enterprise told him they would send someone to pick him up in about an hour. The saddest part is no one at Enterprise felt my son was important enough to call him back to give him any update EVER! Today is one of those days I wish I lived in the same town or even the same state as his college!!! read more

It's a small location in a college town. The new staff, Felix and crew actually works hard and ensures customer satisfaction . They are slow sometimes during holidays but they make up for it. The slowness should be blamed on enterprise itself.. Enterprise please expand, get more workers, get more cars. The rentals are always of good quality and the staff never fails to call me a few days in advance to remind me of my rental. read more

We rent from Enterprise on a regular basis. We just returned their vehicle. We called on Monday to arrange pickup. Enterprise was great as Emily arrived right on time. Once we arrived at the office, Dan and his staff were very helpful, professional and courteous. We as normal were out within a matter of minutes. This month we were in a 2017 Dodge Journey. This vehicle was a dream to drive. The AC is good and cold which was great for the heat in our area. The vehicle was very clean. We returned it this morning and within a few minutes had a ride home from Enterprise. We look forward to our next rental and working with Enterprise. read more

Rented a car for the Thanksgiving weekend. I was quoted one price, but when I returned the car, the price I was charged was nearly double what it should have been. I called the corporate office, who confirmed my original price, and said they would contact the local office. I called the next day, and they fixed the price, to another incorrect price. I called corporate again, who again confirmed my original price. I was told by the local office a manager would get in touch with me. So far, no one has. read more

I've used this enterprise a few times now. Each time I'm glad I did. I usually book online. I get a phone call from them the day before confirming. If they don't have the vehicle I requested they upgrade me free of charge. The staff is always friendly and helpful! read more

Rented a car here last Fall. Literally the worst customer service I have ever experienced no joke. Okay, so I called to rent a car they said later that day they would have some and they would call me, no call. The next day I called (Friday) and asked them what the deal was they said they were sorry and they would have a car for me around 2-4pm. Again, no call so I called and they said they were sorry and the earliest thing they would have would be tommorrow, Saturday, by noon and they apoligized and apoligized. So, Saturday came and no call. I called them by 1:30 and they explained they had plenty of cars for and just forgot to call me again. WOW I blew the F*ck up. Again worst customer service ever. The agents are polite and attentive, no question about their service. For car reservation: I reserved online and confirmed a day before again through online and also via the telephone. Surprise to find out while I arrived next day: no car available until 30 min later. And the car I got has problems so I waited for 30 min again for another one. I have rented from Enterprise for the past seven years and have always been treated with great care. MOst of hte staff know me by name and go to every possible distance ot make sure I have a great rental experience. THeir location is great being close to my church and home. Some things that could be improved are the following: The speed at which a rental takes to complete; parking for my personal car since I usually drive to the location but there is no place ot leave my vehicle. I understand that this being a rural location to rent makes having these two things more difficult but it woould still be nice to have if possible. I will still rent from Enterprise if they don't provide these because i know the staff and have always been treated with kindess and professionalism. I would rent from these guys any time. read more

Have used this location several times and have always been very pleased with the service - fast, friendly - very well organized. The downside to Enterprise in this particular area is the office hours. This office is located in a college town yet the offices are closed before the evening Amtrak train arrives during the week or on Saturday afternoons and is closed on Sunday. For people visiting the area for the college and its activities or to enjoy the sportsman offerings of the area, the hours should be extended to accommodate evening and weekend travelers. read more
