At least 5 stars for customer service! Only 4 for the review b/c their cars have an unpleasant interior smell. Had to return the first one b/c the odor was so bad, especially in the heat. At my request, and without hesitation, the replacement car was brought to my home! It, too, had an odor, but not nearly as bad as the first. When I returned the car, they said they do have an issue with renters smoking in the cars even though they aren't supposed to. Maddy, Claire, Issa were all terrific. Easy to work with, no hard sell for extra insurance, etc, cut me a deal on gas due to the inconvenience of having to swap cars, some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. read more

So This is for the Enterprise in Orchard park - so my wife gets a car from them - now she has to take it back cause it was leaking fluids - So they give her another car - and the windshield had a chip and with the -10 degree weather- it cracks and enterprise has the nerve to tell her she can take it and get a windshield put in through her insurance- that's not her problem- EVEN gets better - so they give her a 3 car which she turned around and handed it in cause when she turned the heat in it smelled like puke and cigarettes- now we are on Number 4 - she get the car and it's vibrating something fierce and a check engine light comes on - The Bone heads that work there tell her it's ok - so she takes it back a kid drives it feels the vibration and says it good for at least 1000 miles - and now the tires are deflated cause it warm up ( weather) and they tell her where to take it for air - again not her responsibility-- NOW YOU WOULD THING THEY WOULD HAVE SOMEONE THERE TO CHECK THE RETURNING CARS TO MAKE SURE THERE SAFE TO DRIVE AND THERES NO PROBLEMS, BUT NO THEY HAVE SOMEONE VACCUM THE CAR , SPRAY SOME SENT AND SEND IT OUT THE DOOR -- SO TO ANYONE READING THIS - PLEASE STAY AWAY - THERES VEHICLES AINT SAFE AND THEY HAVE NO MAINTENANCE WHAT SO EVER .. 4-day rental with the Cruize Pros + Location: Situated not too far from downtown on Main St made this location absolutely ideal for me. + No Fault: I was renting this car through no fault. I'm glad that this company was able to contact my insurance company directly for reimbursement. This afforded me the luxury of not having to deal with trying to get reimbursed and all that nonsense. + Customer Service: The day before my rental pick up, I was left a voicemail to confirm my rental car. I just assumed that it was good to go. What I didnt realize was that no driver was assigned to pick me up. I called 5 min after my scheduled pick up time to confirm the rental. Thankfully, Tyshanay graciously came 15 min later and grabbed me. Cons - Understaffing: In the 20 min I was in the branch, the phone was ringing off the hook. I'm very surprised that the reviews for this location are so low. Understandably when you deal with Corporate, you can't hold a local agency at fault. Every time I've booked and used this location the team members did their absolute best to make sure I am in and out in no time. Plus, they do pick you up within 5 miles. For a long time, you were able to park your vehicle next door if needed. Unfortunately that isn't an option anymore but it's still better than the airport if you're local. The manager has called asking how happy I was with my rental, and they are always hustling, I mean HUSTLING to get people in and out. The employees here have to do it all - sales, service, drive, clean cars, and if they are short staffed, you wouldn't notice because they are all so professional. Always my favorite place to rent. Once again, if you book online, you're booking through Corporate, so a lot of the burden falls on the local agency. read more

Asked if a car would still be avail on Sunday and they said no. Use them because 3 blocks from where I stay when in Buffalo. There were 2 employees working when I stopped by. We waited for about 5 mins before they decided to address us. After 5 mins, a lady helped us. She was whatever. She did try to be friendly, but it just came across as fake to me. Wasn't pleased with my service and based off the other reviews, it doesn't appear that Enterprise cares either. It's funny bc they had a competition where guests can add a marble if they were satisfied with their service and there were only a few. read more

Enterprise"s reservation system does not check local inventory with their franchisees. Enterprise will reserve a car for you, then call you an hour before your pickup time to inform you there are no cars available. Terrible customer service. Don't bother. read more

This place definitely needs more staff, and that's what made the customer service even more impressive. When I came to return my rental Joel was at the counter dealing with a difficult customer. I stood in line with another customer and a few others were seated. The other girl working was outside with someone. And the phone kept ringing. It was a little nuts. When I get to the counter, Joel asks me if I got my grocery shopping done and wished me well on my surgery (which was the reason for my rental). I was really impressed. It was quite a hectic environment at drop off and had been only been slightly better at pick up. The car was fine; it what I had reserved online and with ease. The beige fabric inside was a bit dirty but this didn't matter for my needs. The only surprise was the cost of insurance which I searched for online. Under polices - Insurance, it says that minimum liability will be included with all rentals. There were two options at pick up for $15 or $30 per day. My rental wasn't much more than $30 so I wasn't prepared to pay that for insurance. So I chose the lesser one. Maybe that was optional? Things were a bit rushed. But regardless, this is something that should be better outlined on the website. No reflection on this particular location. The people that are working at this location are doing a great job. I would rate this place higher but I feel like the company needs to do better. By providing more staff, you provide your customers with a better experience and you create a more positive work environment for your employees. I also feel that the website needs to clearly outline the options for insurance and refueling. I looked online for the pricing on both of these but didn't find out until pick up. read more

I would've preferred a little more transparency when I was going to be picked up an hour later than scheduled. Wish I could give a 0 star review. Enterprise as a whole has failed me many times. I was supposed to be picked up for a ride at a certain time so I was able to be on time for work. I called to make sure the ride was on their way, it was not. I called again after the time window they told me had elapsed. They said "hes on his way." What should be a 5 minute drive turns again to 15 minutes of waiting I call again and now this person says the driver had not yet arrived to work. (This time I am late for work.) Now furious after being lied to I tell the employee on the phone that this service is ridiculous and that 45 minutes of time has elapsed of me waiting to be picked up, when I had confirmed this earliest pick up the day prior. The man says he is sending a ride. A ride never came. No call, no ride ever come. At this time I call back and the manager say I was rude to his customer and he cancelled my ride. Had to uber to work that day and had continuous problems with the airport location as well. Both locations are guilty of promising me a rent-able vehicle multiple times and neither came through. The Enterprise that was supposed to help me left me stranded. They are located on Sheridan Drive. The Mazda dealership dropped me off and they said there was a car available but once i was dropped off there was nothing available. I ended walking back to dealership and was furious. I would never go there again. The enterprise on Camp Road finally got me a car, but it is apparently a smokers car so the smell is starting to get to me. Not only did Eric upgrade my vehicle, without me asking, when a computer issue happened and I wasn't picked up. I came here for a rental about a month ago while my car was getting repaired from an accident. While at the repair shop, the insurance representative made arrangements for my rental car here. They told him it would be ready upon my arrival and they even had a guy from their location pick me up and bring me over. The staff was decently friendly and the place was alright. However, they didn't have a car waiting for me like they said. I waited in their lobby for just under 2 hours. They were very apologetic, but apologies didn't change the fact that I was missing all of my classes at school. The location itself was a bit sketchy and some of the clientele was shady as well. While the price was OK, and the leniency with return great ( an hour late without penalty) I do have to say that phone contact with this branch is virtually impossible. I had lost a very important datebook agenda in the car, not realizing until 20 minutes after the return. I couldnt get through by phone and went back there to be told the car was out immediately on loan but they would call the customer and get back to me. Never heard another word. Went back in person again and was told when the car came back they would search and get back to me. No word. No word if the contacted customer. No way to call. I rent cars every week, which means I am always out of town, always needing to go through a quick, and expedited process for renting. I tried several rental car locations and companies before settling in with this Enterprise location. The staff have rotated a bit since i first started using this location, but they have always been beyond nice, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The Management are awesome, and the entire team takes very good care of their customers. The cars they rent out are always clean, well taken care of, and in good condition. I am very disappointed with my experience at this Enterprise location. I booked my reservation online through kayak for Friday at noon. When I arrived at my reservation time, I was told there were no rentals available. I asked how long it would be until they had a rental available for me and they couldn't give me a time estimate, but did say they would give me a call when it was ready. I never received a phone call when there was a rental available and when I returned at 5pm, an hour before their closing time, I was told there were rentals available, but if I wanted to pay with a debit card, I would need additional qualifiers like a bill with my name and address on it or pay stubs, which I obviously had not brought with me. Why I wasn't told this information while booking or confirming my reservation is beyond me. They even had an opportunity to inform me of this when I was there in person for my noon reservation. But instead, I spent over five hours trying to pick up my rental, to not be able to get it that day. Now I have to go back again tomorrow and try again. I don't know why I had to try for over five hours to get a rental just to go home empty handed. I am very disappointed with Enterprise as a whole, and specifically this location on 1312 Main Street in Buffalo. I wasted a whole day for nothing. Very poor service and a very poor business structure. Overall, I give them a fail and will never rent from them again. Not worth my time or the hassle. read more

The worst customer experience ever. I will never ever recommend Enterprise on Main Street nor the one on Delaware and Kenmore... I've been a loyal customer for years and the way I got treated 2/1/2021 and today was very unacceptable... I got a rental from them and I extended it one time with no problem and then when I try to extend it again I was having trouble with my bank card for whatever reason so they told me that I couldn't extend the rental and that I had to clear up a $26.70 balance before I can rent again and that they can't run my car for 24 hours ( which is understandable) so come back tomorrow and I will be able to get a rental again only to call back the next day clear everything up for them to lie and charged my card the 26.70 and refused to rent to me again and the reason was because I kept the car two days over which I thought that's what the $200 hold on your card was for.. Then tell me ""well you are not on the do not rent list and that I'm more than welcome to go to a different Enterprise but ""I'm not going to rent to you"" I'm the manager and it my open policy to do so.... Whatttt??? so I go to Delaware to try to get a car from them and the manager there tells me that them and the Main location are really good friends so if they are not going to rent you a car I'm not going to need either which I think is totally messed up..... I go to Cheektowaga location and have absolutely no problem... I am trying to get a hold of corporate because I feel like this was so unfair when I've been a loyal customer.. I rented a car from Enterprise last month for a trip. Then I was going to return it on the return date, but I decided to extend the rental for another week. Then I was going to turn in the rental again the day before Memorial Day, I was told that I could keep it until June 9th by Jacob. I asked Jacob was he sure and he said yes and that I was all set. So I got a call on Monday June 4th (from the manager that was on vacation for a week) asking me when did I plan on bringing the rental back, and I told him the 9th like I was told. So he tells me I have to bring it back as soon as possible, because " his employee made a mistake, and put money from another renter, and appied the renters money on to my account. While returning the rental I was told by the manager Mark that I would be responsible for paying $900.00 for keeping the rental. When I refused to pay the balance after the mistake they made. The manager Mark began to speak to me in a vulgar and racist way. I am not responsible or accountable for the mistake they made! read more

Mean while, phones were ringing off the hook and other customers at the counter were complaining about their rental. About 40 minutes later, I was finally seen only to find out that there was a 300.00 deductible just in order to rent?! I guess, I missed that with the online reservation. Rented here several times due to convenience. 1) Scheduled to pick up car at this location at 7:30. Main door deadbolted. Women yelled down the street from their parking lot to use the side door. I yelled back that I don't feel comfortable in building with locked exit doors. Later found out she was an employee. No sign on front door directing me to alternate entrance. 2) Took almost an hour to talk to someone at the 800 number. He said I had to go inside to fill out the paperwork or go elsewhere for a car. Finally got local number for this address. 3) Person that answered the phone was the one that yelled down the street to me. She said they do not unlock the front door. I said that marked exits need to be unlocked. Said I was going to call 911. She said go ahead. As I started to call, she unlocked the two doors. 4) Finally got into building at 8:23....almost an hour waiting for door to be unlocked. 5) Agent had reservation, did not know what car I wanted, tried to charge an inflated price. As insurance company made the reservation, I started to call them when agent reduced the price. 6) Part of the reservation they wanted to know what car I drove, where I worked, alternate contact number etc. When I said I was not comfortable giving all that information, they said it was required in order to rent the car. 7) Finally got a car. Experience almost as bad as being in an accident and going to the emergency the day before. 8) Will probably rent here again, only due to the convenience factor. read more

I work for a local university and often arrange personal and business rentals for myself and colleagues. The Main Street Enterprise is my preferred location for renting because the staff is the most friendly and efficient of all the Buffalo-area locations. It is a bit inconvenient that you cannot leave a personal vehicle on site, but makes sense given the downtown location and potential for theft/damage. For a downtown location, however, the crew has a refreshing 'small-town' attitude and approach to customer service. read more

My experience was good overall, however one tiny problem was that I was not informed that I had to return the car at the time that I returned it. This was the location at 1312 Main Street, Buffalo. Therefore, I was unable to get my $100 deposit back. Overall, the service that I received from the staff at the Main Street location was over the top. The staff was helpful and informative, and so were the staff at the airport kiosk. I would suggest the staff at Main Street to go a little more in depth when explaining the functions of their cars to new customers. Other than that, I received great help.
