Hertz used to be a favorite when I did more corporate travel, but now their rates are exhorbitant. Alamo and National share a counter at SRQ so last week, I was helped by the agent at National (Alex). It wasn't until he told me that my driver's license had expired two days ago, that I realized this had happened. I had just gotten my Real ID a couple of years ago - what I didn't realize is that the original expiration did not get reset by getting this card. I also had not gotten any mail renewal notice from the DMV. I was panicking because not only was I going to fly the next day, but I couldn't rent the car. Anyway, I went online and was able to renew my DL but I didn't have the ability to print it out at the airport. This was required to rent a car. After a little bit of begging, Alex took me over to his supervisor to see if they could help me out. Once his supervisor confirmed that Alamo/National could accept a temporary paper license, this nice gentleman took me to Julia who printed out my temporary license. I was so grateful to this team of Alex, Julia, and their supervisor that day but I could have been so stuck without their willingness to help. DH was sick and I was stuck at the airport without a rental car. On top of it all, Julia gave me a car upgrade without me even asking. The Armada was super clean. When I got to the car, the car had these scratches on the side like it had driven through thick brush. I saw this young outdoor agent with dark curly hair - he told me that he would check the system and add it if it wasn't in the system. Thank you, Alex, Julia, the young outdoor agent, and your supervisor! If there is a way to submit a "kudos" through corporate, I would be happy to do it.

Sedan was clean and smooth ride…read more HOWEVER---Cab driver had to TEXT to dispatcher constantly during the trip(no dispatcher radio). Dangerous distracted driving. Cab driver took wrong exit off of I-275 due to texting distraction. Driver used passengers iPhone GPS driving directions next. Got to airport on time. Driver informs passengers it is "CASH ONLY" today ($119 flat rate) because company will not take credit cards yet. Driver offered to go with passenger in Airport ATM to get cash. Fortunately, I had the cash and paid $140 including tip. I do not recommend ANY taxi that has no radio to dispatcher and relies on TEXTING down the highway. Nor do most folks like "CASH ONLY" companies. Not recommended. Will not use TAXI TAXI again.

Missed our flight due to utter incompetence on this company's part!…read more Our pre-booked car cancelled on us last-minute so we were scrambling to find someone else. This company states they could be with us in an hour. Called back and re-estimated it to be 45 minutes. He made sure we would use the service as the driver was traveling to us. We promised and stopped our search. After almost an hour we call to check and are told it would be another 20 minutes. Takes almost double that so by the time she's there we already know we'll never make it. The driver stated that the dispatch "didn't account for traffic". Their words! Lady was nice but her car stunk like cigarettes and I got a terrible headache from the stench. $1k later we are on a later flight. Received a request to give feedback and send a simple message stating what happened and they send me a nasty message telling me the driver was on time (100% not true) and to book ahead next time (we did!), then conceded and stated they "did their best". Rude and dishonest and unprofessional. AVOID!!!
