Confirmation Number: 1789269774 I reserved a large SUV with Enterprise (Bowie location) only to receive a call from a young woman at 6:45 PM the night before my rental (Friday, May 16th), telling me there were no large SUVs available. I asked why I was just being notified, and was told the area manager had been "trying to find some" and was still looking. I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. Immediately after the initial call I tried calling the branch back to see if they had any regular suvs--once, no answer. Called back and it just rang. Called a third time and someone picked up and hung up the phone. Completely unacceptable. This situation put me in a terrible bind before a planned trip. Why does your system allow reservations for vehicles you clearly don't have? If the reservation system said a large SUV was available, that's what I should have received--or at the very least, I should have been contacted earlier in the day to make alternate arrangements. This experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. The lack of follow-up, professionalism, and basic courtesy was appalling. And don't reply with the generic "please contact us" link. You already have my confirmation number. If Enterprise is TRULY concerned, someone from the company should contact me directly. read more

This location on Heritage Blvd. is the absolute worse. They do not have the cars available that you reserve once you get to the location. For the last few rentals from there, it has been a nightmare. They have no real resolution and all they do is make excuses and apologize. Brandon Gamble and Awa Fall, Manager and Assistant Manager have no sense of urgency with customers and a very dismissive when you complain about the customer service or lack of. The car I was given was damaged and I am being unfairly charged for damages I did not cause. I am going to fight this to the very end!!!! The car also had steering problems. I returned the vehicle and explained I the car was defective and I should not be charged for damages and they charged me anyway. I never experienced the lack of professionalism from someone who calls themsleve an "Assistant Manager...Awa and Manager...Brandon". I reserved a full size car and when I got to the location and after getting DROPPED OFF around 4:00pm they only had a economy. The car they offered was extremely small so I asked was there anything they had larger I could get...Awa says no. She then tells me I can wait until 5:30 but I explained thats a hour and half away, plus what if nothing comes in. She then says they we will have to rebook me another time...huh? I was going out of town the next morning...I said that's not going to work. She then tells me she has been fasting all day and she doesn't have time for this...huh...really? I then ask for a manager and she says one wasn't there. I'm outside talking to customer service and waiting for my wife to come get me, I see this guy walking so I ask if he was the manager...he says yes. I asked him was he aware of my situation and he says yes...have you he never even acknowledged me...he then says she told him I was rude to her...huh? No I wasn't she had attitude from the start. Then this joker then tells me he's going to side with his employees every time. I'm like even if they are wrong? He says yes...really! I'm in disbelief the lack of customer service skills these managers displayed. No customer...absolutely no customer should be treated like this. I hope after the calls I've made, that Enterprise takes action on these two. They need training or some sort of skill enhancement training in how to treat customers. read more

Reserved a mini-van to drop my son off for the start of his freshman year at college 2 weeks in advance. Less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup, I was left a message asking if I could pick up after 12 although I had a 7 am scheduled pickup or if a full size SUV would suffice. I rolled my eyes at the message left at 6:42 pm, first because I have a full size SUV, so no and no. I gave them a bit of grace and didn't call until after 10 am Saturday morning. The rep couldn't have been less helpful and basically said there was nothing they could do because the person didn't return the vehicle. "What?!?!?", that's about all I could muster otherwise I was about to turn into Samuel L. Jackson. The name of the business is "Enterprise", what do you mean you can't check the other locations for a mini-van? I would have been less upset if the young lady was a bit more empathetic or at least gave the illusion of providing some sort of assistance in resolving the issue. Had I not had to quickly pivot, I would have been paying Enterprise of Bowie an in-person visit, which I still might. Do better EoB, rental companies are a dime a dozen, I picked you for very specific reasons. Now I will NEVER use this particular or perhaps Enterprise again and they may say who cares but that's 1 less customer with 2 kids in college that rented a mini-van 4 times a year guaranteed. After having someone hit me from behind, the last thing I want to deal with is the process of a rental car. Luckily, the fool that hit me had insurance and I was able to call up Enterprise to schedule a time to pick-up a rental vehicle. When I first arrived, I was given an option of a few compact cars. They were all nice and up to date, but not to my standards, nor were they comparable to my car that was in the shop. I was told that if I came back later that afternoon, I could get something more spacious. I did and ended up with an SUV. It was clean, neat and tidy on the inside, and up to date. I had this vehicle for a good 3 weeks or so until my vehicle was repaired. The insurance company made sure to renew the vehicle weekly, so I didn't have to worry about getting charged any fees towards the cost of the vehicle. No problems, no issues, and the vehicle was a reliable source of transportation during this time. The customer service during the pick-up and drop-off were both very pleasant and they definitely accommodated me. It should be noted that I called another Enterprise prior to this location and they were extremely helpful as well, they just didn't have the amount/variety of vehicles this location had at the time. All and all, I would absolutely do business with Enterprise in the future. Prayerfully, it wouldn't be under these same circumstances. read more

After arriving from California, my original rental car reservation with another rental car company called to tell me there were no cars available for DAYS. I was in town for my fathers funeral with my children. I called this location and Kingsley told me to come over and he would make it happen. I arrived and JR checked me in swiftly with a welcoming smile. I was in a car and on my way in less than 20 minutes. Thank you JR and Kingsley for your warm kindness. Two stars because the cars are clean. Seems like every time I have to deal with this place it's problematic... usually it's just some unnecessary level of petty or lack of love for their job. Geico has my suburban in body shop... geico authorizes and reserves a large suv because with 4 sons I need the third row and space. No large suv available.. Then they find one.. cool.. but then the body shop has my truck longer than the expected time so enterprise helps themselves to $600 on my credit card without at least calling me.. (Kingsley the manager got our money back to us) but still.... Got my truck back.. it wasn't right.. so this time the body shop authorizes rental... (suv) They put me in a van with the empty promise that I can switch into a truck the following business day... Shoulda got that in writing... called on that Monday.. Call 1. "Let me check with my manager" Call 2. "Not sure what we have in call back at 3 or 4pm" Call 3. " yes I'm not manager... I looked into it. The insurance company only reserved a sedan so you will have to pay extra" Me: ahh.. so why did they give me a van? Why didn't they tell me this at the original pick up? Why didn't the first 2 people I talked to tell me this? What was the disconnect. Between l geico and enterprise and caliber I'll definitely be changing my provider to find one that doesn't deal with either of the three businesses listed above ... On April I was suppose to pick up a rental car at the location: Enterprise Car Rental 1651 Crofton Blvd, Suite 13, Crofton MD - Reservation number 1754387568 - I refused the car because it smelled of marijuana and the car had no been cleaned or aired out. I was very offended and the agent acted as if he didn't care of he didn't smell it. I opened the car doo and the smell hit me in the face. I also have called two days prior and asked for a specific car. He was unable to offer that as well. However, I was offed a larger car and would have to pay the difference. Obviously, that was not going to work. He says I could cancel the reservation and try the other location. He didn't offer to transfer the reservation or to call the other location to see if they could honor the rate. I had him cancel the reservation the I left to go to the location of: Enterprise 16300 Heritage Blvd Bowie MD, maybe about 10 min away or less. I arrived at this location and advised the agent there of what had happened. I asked him if he could call the other office to see if they could honor the rate. He advised he could not but can put me in a similar small car for 1100. Well, that was not going to work even though I was paying $600.00 less at the other location. I left there disappointed in Enterprise rental car and I am a member there. It goes to show you that not only don't care about their members but they are very consistent in disappointing their members. In either case there was no apology, not even for the smell of the car not the non-cleanliness of the car, no thank you anyway, just nothing from either. read more

I've had 2 bad experiences with this Enterprise! But before I get into that, I want to applaud the lady who helped us. I cannot recall her name but she's an African American lady with hight brown sisterlocks. She is amazingly kind and really is the only good thing about this location. Onto my concerns: yesterday, my husband called about our reservation that he was set to pickup at 10am. We got a little behind schedule and it was 11am when he called. They had given our reserved car away. We were told that they hold the car for 1hr past the time for the reservation. So clearly, that policy was not being followed. Additionally, in my past experiences with Enterprise, if you do not show up for your reservation and they need to give it away, they first reach out to you via phone. Guess what? That didn't happen. More than anything, it was just disappointing. This location seems extremely understaffed. We arrived and waited for an hour for our car to be cleaned. Once it was cleaned, we had to wait for someone to go gas up the car. I feel bad for the staff because I could tell they were really trying.... they just couldn't deliver for their customers. I'm better off driving to the BWI location, unfortunately. read more

This place blew me away when I walked in everyone came up to me shaking my hand and introducing themselves. I didnt expect the coming to America greeting but I will take it after yesterdays performance at capitol heights location. Yannick was very helpful and courtesy. I am glad I decided to come to this location it seems like a family oriented work environment. The car was cleaned but had a cigarette smell and the gas tank was on 3/8. Update.... The manager called me back and was very open to solving whatever issues I had even though the issue was from another store. The reps keep me informed with hourly updates on when a car would arrive for me to switch out. The return was quick and easy. This store deserves a golden star.... I rent a car from here over the weekend. I returned the car to Elems Ukmu. He tried to say that there was a dent on the passage door. There was no dent on the door. He was on the ground trying to take pictures of a dent that was not there. I asked to show me the pictures of what you see. He proceed to say oh you can't see the dent because of the sun. You got to be kidding me. If you can't see the dent. How in the hell would I see it. Of course they have a hold of $300 dollars on your credit card. So he is going to say I need for you to sign these form. I was like you got to be kidding me. I am not signing any paper admitting to any damage that I didn't do or can i see on the car. I needed a truck after my truck broke down. I called the Bowie location and they picked me up and got me into a truck within an hour of calling. The best part is that they initially did not have a truck available, so I was settling for a small car, but they made the arrangements and found me a truck and gave it to me for the price of the intermediate car. It's always unfortunate when you have to get your car patched up after its been battered a bit. But to add insult to injury, you find that your insurance company of 20+ years is partnered with Enterprise Rental. I go thru an otherwise smooth online process to get my car inspected and an estimate to fix. The online process throws me over to Enterprise to select a rental. As a long time Geico customer and biz owner, I had a $50 a day rental reimbursement allowance which affords my an "Enterprise-version of a luxury" vehicle. I get a Ford Fusion and am faced with skipping more work and priorities or fighting with the Enterprise sales rep about how just because it's a "hybrid" doesn't make it worth $50 a day. Caveat emptor my friends when dealing with the Bowie Enterprise...not a reasonable outcome for this brother! read more

Arrived at site after a long day and even longer ordeal after being hit by another driver & my license being destroyed in the process. Spoke with branch manager & an "associate from corporate" who was at this branch and was met with nothing but combative attitudes when I appealed to them refusing the interum drivers license that the MVA issued me. Site left me without options after picking me up from the car repair shop & told me that my driving their vehicle was "not in the interest of their company." AVOID THIS BRANCH IF POSSIBLE. read more

Given the fact I was incredibly under the weather this day ,as ill as Id felt in as long as i could remember, upon my arrival, I was quickly and pleasantly greeted, and my paperwork was quickly put in order. All of which was much appreciated as my head was splitting, and I was feverish. The Enterprise rep ( I am embarrassed to have forgotten her name) was fantastic, and offered me a much needed ride home. I only live a mile away and any other time would have walked, however it was still a bit chilly out, and I had a fever. The Rep sympathized with my maladies and got me home quickly, and safely. Picked up a vehicle for classes in the area. Exterior: the building and grounds are presentable and clean. There's ample parking in front and behind the building. It's not on the main road, so you just have to follow your GPS. Interior: there's really not much to it. There are a few chairs for customers, a couple of counters, and their desks behind those. However, with the speed of service, you don't have to wait long. Staff: they are wonderful! Every time I utilize this location, they are friendly, polite, and professional. They are quick in assisting you and make sure they take the time to make you feel comfortable and valued. This has to be the friendliest Enterprise I've ever used. Equipment: I've never had problems with any of the vehicles I've received from this location. I have been to other rental car companies that have given me vehicles with various problems or with broken accessories. If you need to come to this area and get a rental car, this office is absolutely wonderful! read more

I recently had a very bad experience at this location. I went to rent a car and was in an emergency situation with my kids as I had the transmission go out on our suburban so the vehicle was taken to Ourisman Chevrolet. I did not have a credit card to rent the vehicle but had cash to cover that plus more on my debit. Now policy is policy but the level of compassion was not there whatsoever. The folks were all telling me different things as to what my options were and my mother was also offering her card to help and all we got was nope can't help you! I am a regular renter in my home state and have always been treated good in TN. I would recommend they fire these employees and get ones who actually care. read more

Unless you have two phone numbers, they will not rent a car to you. Keith refused to rent the vehicle to my client as she didn't have two phone numbers; to make matters worse, this policy is not on their website nor is it Standard across all Enterprise locations. He stated that it's in their Underwriting policy; something that my client hadn't received at the time of rental (unless it's buried within their rental agreement). My client is not from the area, therefore, the next option was to search for a National location. She informed him that she would need to go to national because she was stranded at that point, to which he clearly did not care as evidenced by his dismissive attitude. I'm unsure what benefit the two phone number policy has, but newsflash Enterprise of Bowie, not everyone has two phone numbers!! So this location would rather lose business of customers that don't have two numbers? I wish Enterprise would take a page out of Nationals book. No matter what car you rent, Enterprise vehicles ALWAYS have an odor and never have a full tank. Maybe try putting this two phone number disclaimer on your rental website. Or maybe Keith can print it out before quoting. And just so that everybody is clear who is reading this, corporate enterprise confirmed that there is no such policy. I would strongly urge EVERYONE reading this review to bypass this particular Enterprise location. This morning my family went to this location to pick up the car that they already scheduled to rent for the week. This lady, which I can't remember her name, treated them like pure crap and I'm certain that is because she is racist and prejudice to Latinos!!!! She did not want to help them rent their vehicle and did not offer any other assistance in this matter. My family travels constantly to the states and they are owners of their own business. They WILL NEVER USE ENTERPRISE AGAIN AND WILL ADVISE THEIR FRIENDS AND COSTUMERS TO NOT USE THIS SERVICES EVER!!! PS. I have been frequenting this location for years and I have yet to have a bad experience with this location. from entry to the office, you receive multiple greetings and acknowledgement that they will be with you if they are engaged with other customers. I do have a request I would like to relay to Enterprise corporate, please loosen the many restrictions you have when one of your patrons wants to use a Debit card for their rental charges. Nowadays many people don't use credit cards any longer, so you essentially make it harder for this segment of the population. I arrived to the location 10 minutes before their opening at 720 and they were already fully staffed with each of their employees. At one point or another, I was greeted by every employee there. Everyone was SO pleasant.. Especially for "opening time" on a Monday. In fact, a nice man working in the car service area opened my door for me when I arrived and when I left the building just because. The clerk helping me, Rena, even carried one of my bags out to the car. Stellar customer service. I was in and out in 15 minutes - on time for work at 8am 12 miles away. This was my first time renting a car and I must say that the clerks were very helpful in outlining the parameters of my contract. I thought this would be a little more difficult given the involvement of my insurance company, but it was just the opposite. One minor note for improvement... In the multiple times I was on the phone prior to make the rental reservation, I was never made aware of their free pickup service to be brought to their building for the rental. I ended up ubering that morning instead. This could be promoted more widely to both new and existing customers. Either way, this is certainly the place to get a rental from in the Bowie area and I will be using them again in the future should the need arise. read more

Vehicle model requested was now not available, however, the salesperson offered me a SUV for $60.00 more per day = $150.00 ++. I've been here twice. Today was my last. Although the staff is polite, their wait time is ridiculous. I booked my reservation online a week in advance like I always do and this location doesn't have a car. I have to wait for them to go to Toyota & pick up a car. Then once they get the car, I have to wait for them to clean it. Unbelievable! An hour wait. Today, I went to the nearby restaurant, Chili's, and when I got back, the car still wasn't ready.
