I had called at least a week in advance to set up an appointment for next Monday morning. I told the person in the office I had BC/BS and she said if PPO they accepted it. SHE did not ask me to send a copy of the card back and front. She did say to download their form to fill out and bring in, and to make copy of Covid card front and back to bring in. I get a call at 12:30 today (Friday) from Dr Gavin. In a rather irritating, accusatory voice tells me that she does not have a copy of my BC/BS card and needs that to keep my appointment or she will cancel it. If I knew this over a week ago I would have sent it in. I said I was in area and would drive it over so can take a picture. When I get there, she comes to front and says she also needs my Covid card copy in addition to my BC/BS card. I had Excelsior on phone..no acceptable. Totally disorganized and her attitude didn't help. I told her to cancel appt.

From speaking with Rachel to make appts, or needing clarification about paperwork etc, she quickly responds, is clear when explaining things and so helpful. Mr. Gavin is always patient and friendly and willing to replace parts of my aids when needed. And, Dr. Gavin is so on top of my situation and truly interested. She offers good and sound advice, she shares info and makes suggestions whether it be about dr referrals or ways in which to improve the use of my hearing aids. It is just so nice to have local health providers that really "know you" and take their time in working with you. Lastly, Dr. Gavin asks me to share dr. reports and MRI results regularly with her so that as she says, "she can learn from them"! How cool is that; after a life long career as an audiologist, she is still interested in learning her craft so that she can be even more helpful to her patients! Thanks so much to all of you.

Doc Cohen has been my audiologist since '07 or thereabouts. (He gave free screenings at my…read moreworkplace in nearby Yonkers, back in the day when he was with another organization.) He convinced me back then to get a set of hearing aids (even though I was only in my 40s!) to help cope with a case of tinnitus in my right ear. Throughout the years, I've found Dr. Cohen to be a great professional--always kind, considerate, understanding, and knowledgable about aids and other solutions that meet my challenging needs. This was especially true when my tinnitus bloomed to full-on single-sided deafness. (I completely lost hearing in my right ear due to surgery in 2013 to remove a golf ball sized acoustic neuroma--or benign brain tumor--which also destroyed my right ear's hearing nerve.) His current office, shared with an optometrist/eye glass store, might not look like much. But it doesn't impact the type and level of service and support he provides! (In fact, I think his "low-overhead" approach probably saved me SEVERAL thousands of dollars over a mid-town audiologist's office offering the same top-end hearing aids.) I would definitely recommend giving Dr. Cohen for your hearing challenges. I think you'll find his no-pressure, gentle approach to be very refreshing!

They deserve zero stars. My family and I have been long time patients at this practice. While Dr…read moreZalvan is wonderful, Dr Damiano is an abomination, lacking in the most basic bedside manner, gentleness or courtesy. The Bradhurst office is more convenient so I made the mistake of booking appointments with her. In consecutive visits, she was so rough while cleaning my ears they actually bled yet she never offered an apology or word of comfort. It's nearly impossible to get through by phone and when you do, you are often met with surliness. I finally had enough and decided to go elsewhere but given my long history with this practice I needed to have my records sent to the new provider and was forced to drive to the Ardsley office to complete and sign a simple form. I asked how long the process would take - the clerk didn't look up, tossed my form in a file and said "five days." I knew right then and there they'd never be sent and I was right. More than two weeks later they had not arrived so the new office had to call and have them sent electronically. This option was never offered despite my asking. I transitioned to a Westmed provider and what a world of difference. I've been treated with courtesy and respect by everyone from the clerk to the provider. Leaving ENT Faculty Practice was a wise decision and I'm only sorry I didn't do it sooner. Avoid at all costs.
