Sadly, over the years we've had some issues with the switch. We've tried to fix it ourselves and we suspected it needed a whole new socket. We attempted to dismantle it to no avail and I had even tried to find somewhere to take it but didn't have much luck at the time. I knew it was going to take forever to find it's equal. It had taken us ages to find this lamp and I was sad to think that it had seen its last days. In one last ditch effort, I searched again for a company that we might be able to take it to... and I found Ajax Lighting. I gave them a call and they said to bring it in. It has a beautiful oil rubbed bronze finish and I'm not going to lie, I was a little worried it would end up getting scratch but a few days later, I had it back and it looks and works perfectly! I couldn't be happier! I would definitely recommend Ajax Lighting for repairs.

I don't understand why there are such low ratings here. I'm sure many people here are just browsing, and I rather have a sales rep give us the space and only come to us if we need help and seriously find a piece we're considering. So I have no issues with how no one really came up to us. There's a lot of lighting, but personally, not enough contemporary/modern lighting to our liking. We did take some pictures of the few we liked that are more contemporary-inspired. However, we don't love it enough to pull the trigger. The prices for the lighting are very high for the ones we looked at, about $1500 (for that round chandelier) to $5600 (Criss Cross silver lighting). We liked the look of the round chandelier the most. To our surprise, our neighbour has the same one. So loses that unique appeal. Also don't know how we would change the light if it burns out? Lighting is all personal preference. This trip nothing really screamed "this is the one" for us. If you're into other design themes like traditional, industrial, mid-century modern etc, you may find there is more to your liking than the modern/contemporary styles here. I still recommend to check it out though for yourself if you're in the market for lighting.

I would have cancelled the order ( due to poor customer service) but I'm sure they will think of a way to charge me restocking fee. Will take my business somewhere else!

We used to have a Living Lighting store where I grew up in the burbs. I remember as a child going…read morein here a few times, and just being bored outta my mind. I used to think, geez a whole store devoted to lights, get me outta here! Well now, 20 years later, I've grown up and I like to think, have a greater appreciation for the little things... Little things, such as light fixtures. Oh yeah! Living lighting has anything you could possibility think of when it comes to lighting. It not only has a wide array of lights, from night lights to beautiful decorative lamps, but it also has indoor/outdoor fans (i didn't know there was such thing as an outdoor fan) and house lights and even house numbers and signage. They have some really neat looking lamps. Pricewise, expect to pay a little more than your average Ikea store, especially for the hanging lamps which I didn't realize costs so much money. Maybe I don't have an appreciation so much for lighting, but just the shock that my cheapo parents ever stepped foot in this store.

I don't even know some of the most basic handyman work - so when 2 of my kitchen lights went out - I needed someone to help me replace them. Aris could've easily came to just change 2 light bulbs, and charge me for 2 hours (he charges a minimum of 2 hours). But instead, he patiently spent time to walk me through which replacement bulb to get; how to change it etc. - for free of charge. And when I offered to send him a thank-you card with a Starbucks giftcard - he refused! It's not often that people/companies care about their customers as people, and not just see them as sales/profit -- so this was a very excellent and exceptional experience for me. I will definitely go to Aris for any electrical needs for myself, as well as my work, going forward!! :)
