Matteo was amazing with expert knowledge in all available wines and very fun demeanor and very attentive service. We ended up purchasing many bottles of wine (that we had tasted through their numerous wine tasting menu) and had them shipped back to the States right on site. If you like wine paired with amazing meats and cheeses, this is undoubtedly the place to go. Also recommended by all the locals we interacted with. Enjoy!!

They sell wine by the glass or bottle, and have a small selection of local artisan beers. Each glass of wine was ~€5 and beer was ~€6. I loved the Riesling and Chardonnay, recommended by the shop owner. It was so crispy and refreshing with the fresh breeze from the lake and Swiss Alps behind us. The local beer was tasty as well but served from a bottle. Overall, definitely worth a visit! Great place in the afternoon to get a drink and take in the views of Menaggio!

We had the deep fried eggplant 'suppli', the cavatelli pesto, and the Como fish and risotto. All were terrific, and the Como fish was so light and flaky, really great across the board! After a few days of being disappointed with our choice of restaurants during our vacation to Italy…read more(shocking I know), we finally found a winner! Cervo is located along the shores of Lake Como, with spectacular views from our patio-side table. Service was friendly and efficient, and my pesto pasta was quite scrumptious, especially in comparison to the disappointing pastas I had in Milan, prior to arriving in Como. The house-made pesto sauce tasted fresh and dare I say, bold. Mind you, I've had better pastas before right here in LA, but they didn't come with breathtaking views like Cervo does. All in all, Cervo was a hit with our group.

You have to walk ~15 minutes through a neighborhood and outlook point to get here (very pretty walk through a quiet street with villas that ends in a scenic view of the lake and Como). If you go during an off hour (we went around 4pm), it should be pretty quiet - it does pick up a lot more around meal times. Menu prices are affordable, especially considering the amazing views - just unmatched. The couple that runs the cafe is also super sweet and hardworking. We got a mocktail, gelato, and sorbet, and ended with some lasagna and pasta. I'd recommend the drinks and ice cream. Highly recommend you check this out!

This place is quaint, intimate, and has probably the best view of the lake ever. It was so fun taking the Funicular up to the top of the mountain and taking photos and just stopping IN AWE the whole route up there. The owner and his wife are so kind and hospitable. The food was unreal (we had the bruschetta, bolognese, and tiramisu) as was the wine. The music playing helped keep the ambiance romantic while the customer service made the experience unforgettable. My husband and I travelled here on our honeymoon and have said eating here was possibly one of the top 5 moments of our lives. I can't recommend it enough! Thank you Balcone Sul Lago!!!
