This was above average As to the wine, this is my first trip to Umbria where I finally tasted a superb regional wine; Multefalco. Two versions exist. The Rosso ,which is a blend , is a light bodied , fruit-forward wine. The other is a bit more expensive, called the Sagratino. This big, bold, tannin-rich wine easily unwinds in less then an hour into a well balanced, fruit-structured intricate wine. This is an undervalued wine. The most expensive we had in any restaurant was 45 euros for a bottle. Take advantage of it! I gave this place my highest rating for Gubbio because of its ambiance, service, wine knowledge and preparation, price but most of all the PASTA
