My baby, unfortunately was quite uncooperative with ultrasounds. We didn't get great images of my son (he looked like melted cheese lol) but I completely understand that sometimes, it just doesn't work out. I had a wonderful experience nonetheless. The place is inviting and the tech was friendly and my husband and I felt comfortable with him. He didn't seem to come off as "braggy" as far as I could remember. Now the photography is the best reason you really have to come back for once baby is born. Not sure where I can leave a Yelp review for that but Sheri is like a baby whisperer. We were gifted an ultrasound and newborn photo session by my family with my first child but we decided to forgo the ultrasound and come back for another newborn session with my second child. Sheri was great with both babies. So patient. So calm and nurturing with them. She was even able to incorporate my rambunctious 14 month old into his little brother's photos. I thought it impossible to achieve but she did it. She has a lot of great props and backgrounds to choose from. Also, the clarity of her photos were great. My experience here left me wanting. The tech's attitude turned what should have been a fun and exciting moment into an uncomfortable, irritating one. My husband and I came in for a gender determination scan at about 23 weeks. Enlightened Imaging's guarantee gave us some piece of mind that our money ($100) would give us a result - if baby's positioning was a problem like it had been the previous anatomy scan we had elsewhere, we could come back for free. First impressions: The lobby was crowded due to appointments running behind, place honestly looks a little beaten up - weathered furniture, etc, kids were playing all over the floor, and it smelled of dirty diaper. Not the most welcoming. I accepted their Enfamil promotional "gift bag" but it was a little weird. When we were finally brought back to the ultrasound room, the tech's attitude immediately rubbed me the wrong way. When we explained we couldn't find out the gender at the 20 week anatomy scan due to the baby's positioning, he went on and on making comments like "if they can't find the gender, they need to get a different job" and "we constantly are cleaning up those guys mistakes" and "I've never had a problem finding out the gender once." Extremely unprofessional. Spent most of the appointment badmouthing every other ultrasound provider - to the point I almost hoped he wouldn't be able to give us a result just so he would look like an idiot. He DID find out the gender for us (requiring more than a little effort, I might add!), but the experience at Enlightened Imaging felt rushed and uncomfortable - the pictures were not as good as at the anatomy scan we had elsewhere, the tech was constantly moving the probe so fast we couldn't make anything out (like being able to watch the baby move, which was our favorite part of our other scan). ***Update: within a day of posting my review I was left a voicemail from John (who is perhaps both owner and ultrasound technician?) via his personal cell phone to discuss my review. He apologized for my negative experience and coming on a bit strong, said they'd been having a weird, crazy day and claimed I "got it wrong" in my review. He said he wishes I'd had a better experience because they really do care. He requested I call back so we can discuss and come to a better resolution. I politely responded via text that I would have preferred to be contacted via yelp, that I absolutely appreciate his apology and willingness to do better, and will update my review to reflect that, but that I will not be changing my previous review as I felt it was an accurate representation of my own experience that day. read more

The appointment email sent out regarding Covid-19 and safety contradicts what really happened in the appointment. The wife and I were pretty excited to go to an imaging appointment together since Covid-19 pandemic was not allowing partners at the doctors office. So this was the first time seeing images together of the baby since the pandemic hit. When we arrived there was no screening for Covid-19. No social distancing tags or mask requirements. Another family was in the waiting room, and all 4 people were not wearing masks and the receptionist was not masked either. There was no sanitizer to clean our hands after filling out paperwork. I confirmed with the receptionist if the tech was sanitizing the room after each appointment, and she said yes. But as soon as the group ahead of us came out, he called us back in- so it seemed that the sterilization didn't follow proper CDC guidelines. The tech was unmasked for the entire appointment, no face shields, no clothes coverings and the only thing that was protecting my wife was the gloves he put on, this lack of PPE does not follow OSHA guidelines for the medical field. During the appointment he was in very close contact with us, and made us uncomfortable that he wasn't protecting us from him and the people in the office. Everyone was really nice there. We are disappointed that they are not taking the Covid-19 pandemic more seriously. They should be requiring masks and taking more precautions to protect pregnant women and set additional time for the sterilization of the space. When pregnant women are considered high risk, additional precautions should be taken. There was no use of CDC guidelines or OSHA. The whole experience was off, insensitive considering the current pandemic and uncomfortable. read more

I did the blood test when I was 8 weeks pregnant. The woman who took my blood was so nice and told me they hadn't been wrong yet. I was excited to find out I would be having a girl after my two boys, and it was nice being able to announce to family so early. I had a little doubt in the back of my mind - but we welcomed that baby girl this November. read more

We are from out of town and really wanted to know the gender of our baby. Made an appt and was quickly seen the next day. We had an amazing experience. The technician was very precise on his findings. Spent time making sure he gave the correct information. Never made us feel rushed. The room was very comfortable with a projector for an awesome viewing experience. He showed us other parts of our baby, reassuring us that everything was in working order. I have been here twice now. With my first pregnancy going here, the office staff (older woman) was so incredibly rude on the phone both when I made the appointment, as well as the day of the appointment on the phone and in person. She completely lacked customer service skills, and made us almost walk out. I wondered if it was the owners mother or relative, after asking around I found out it was his mother. I knew no one would let an employee act like she did without it being a relative. First ultrasound was to determine the sex of our baby. The woman who performed the ultrasound was absolutely amazing! We adored her! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The bed was super comfy and wide, room was very inviting and it was such a great experience outside of the front desk. They did give me a big thing of formula samples which I thought was actually quite nice. They did however all expire before I would actually be able to use them. Second time around there is someone new at the front desk, and she was the sweetest younger woman ever! I don't know if they swap out staff, or if they replaced the older woman...but it was so much more inviting with the younger woman at the desk. This round I had the owner as my ultrasound tech, and I thought that was kinda cool. He started off all business, unlike the woman who was...well...a woman who seemed excited about pregnancy and babies. This gentleman was all about bragging about how they do a lot of business correcting ultrasound mistakes from hospitals, and just ugly bragging. I kind of just smile and nodded. I was there to find out the sex of my little one, but it seemed like he was doing a full anatomy scan. It was strange to be quite honest. We were there a long time and I understand that our little one wasn't the most cooperative, but there were so many times when I knew it was a girl, and I am not a tech. Finally after an extremely long appointment he announced it was a girl. I guess the thing that ruined the appointment was the constant bragging and the way he put down all the other tech in the business. I don't know if he realizes how that comes across? It made an extremely exciting moment awkward and uncomfortable. I love that you are super confident in your abilities, but if you were the best of the best you wouldn't be doing what you are doing. Be humble and welcoming! You are in a business with emotional people who don't want to hear about how all the people they have seen before are ignorant. Would I go there again? Honestly...I would because it's not like there are a lot of options around, but I would probably request the woman. read more

My husband and I went in for a fun/elective 3D/4D scan yesterday and it was an amazing experience! The lobby wasn't crowded for a Saturday appointment and the receptionist was very friendly. The technology is cutting edge, the ultrasound technician was extremely knowledgeable/educated, had a great personality and was very professional. My babies face is blocked by my placenta but he really took his time and worked with my positioning to get some great images. We also don't know the gender of our baby as we are keeping it a surprise and he did a great job of hiding it and not referring to our baby as a specific gender though out the scan. Plus we got some free baby swag at the end which I really liked. I would highly recommend Enlightened Imagining! read more

When we heard we were expecting our fourth child earlier this year, I wanted to treat my wife to the 3D ultrasound which we didn't have 5 years ago when we had our third. I searched Enlightened Imaging out online and learned that not only do they produce the 3D images, but also what they call '4D' - a video of the ultrasound session. I purchased the package as an anniversary gift for my wife. While at our session we found that our baby was less than co-operative - he refused to reveal his face, and stayed in a tight tuck with arms and knees hiding his facial features. Nevertheless, the technician was able to get us a few nice images and sequences which we will treasure. After a very long session in which he tried numerous times to get those shots, he offered us a choice to come back another time for a second attempt - at no additional charge, or a generous discount on the sitting fee for newborn photos with Sheri Titus. We decided to take the newborn photos having been impressed by the professional quality of the photos she had on display. We were not disappointed either - she worked hard to produce stunning photos with multiple setups and backdrops. I left there business totally satisfied, impressed and willing to recommend them to anyone wanting either of these two services. Great job Jon and Sheri! read more

I scheduled an appointment with this company a month ago and finally got to see the gender of my first baby. It was a gender specific appointment and the technician was quick to find our baby's gender and pointed out the "girlie" parts. The seating area is large enough for 10-12 people to sit and there's a huge projector screen so that everyone in the room can see, think like a personal theater room. The technician took a nice profile and some other views and one 3D photo. Make sure to speak with technician about what you want so they can accommodate your request. :) I plan on returning to this company once I'm a little further along. The plus side, they gave me a little cooler to hold breastmilk and some formula. read more

I came to Enlightened 4D Imaging to do the Sneak Peek Genetic test. It was a great experience, they have a professional phlebotomist do the blood draw, I was in and out very quickly. They also offer a discounted ultrasound once you pay for the test. I haven't used that offer but I wanted to wait for my review so I could share the accuracy of my results. The blood test said we were having a girl and we confirmed with the ultrasound she is a girl. Also, my results were due by 9:00 pm on a Friday night and I wanted to do a gender reveal on Saturday, one of the most impressive things was the owner of the clinic stated If we didn't have the results to contact their mobile number directly and they would access the information for us. I didn't have to use that method as my email showed up as expected from Sneak Peek, but it was a very reassuring offer. read more

We had an absolutely perfect experience here for our gender ultrasound. My husband and I went with my parents and brother when I was about 18 weeks along. The owner performed the ultrasound and he was extremely personable and made sure he was thorough and confident in the gender before telling us. The room was large enough to fit my family comfortably and they all loved it as well. There is no doubt that we will be back to check on our little girl further along in the pregnancy and continue to use them with all future pregnancies. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

Frustrating - huge waste of money! I wish they would have asked how far along I was when I made the appointment... instead it was explained to me AFTER I paid and was in the room for the scan that we might not be able to see things very clearly because I was too far along. I got 4 pictures in 2D that were nice to see, but not anything recognizable from the 2 pictures in 4D. The audio in the video when he's explaining things is too low to hear clearly as well. I appreciate that they offered a discount for the newborn photography person, but we already have a family photographer. read more

I've been here 3 times in the past 6 years, once for each of my children. Each time was the same. The owner is personable, kind, knowledgeable, and makes it such a wonderful experience. I don't typically write reviews, but I felt the negative ones were so uncalled for and I question the validity of them. The lobby is clean and inviting, and the room for the ultrasound is large and comfortable. I think its quite sweet how they allow so many people with, instead of limiting, when I know it can get real crowded, but they know its important to some people. Truly a wonderful experience. I got 3D images with all three of my older children. Enlightened says it's using a newer version but the software makes it harder to get good shots. If anything is less than ideal, baby has the umbilical cord infront of his face or is facing the wrong way, they can't get the shot. Whereas before with the other technology, you would at least get something you could display or show around. Best picture I got of my daughters face has her and my placenta in it. It just looks gross, nothing you want to display. I would not recommend going here. Waste of $175 and now I have zero useable images (even though I went 3 times) of my daughter. read more

First, I went to Enlightened 4D to find out my baby's gender- couldn't wait till the scheduled ultrasound and wanted to have my daughter and my husband to find out with me, without taking days off of work and daycare. I found Enlightened 4D online and scheduled a Saturday appointment + they are conveniently located in Bloomington, not far from MOA. Best part- you can have all your family come with you if you'd like and they even have a live stream for out of town relatives for an extra charge- didn't use it, but thought it was cool. The room has several comfy couches and a huge screen, so everybody can see what's going on- a big difference in comparison to my OBGYN office. The ultrasound technician was super nice & fun, sounds like he definitely knew what he was talking about, I've read that they do medical ultrasounds for an extra charge, so it appears that the ultrasound tech is fully trained, not just a guy with the machine :) We purchased the "economy" $99 special and got plenty of photos and a dvd. We came back to take some 4d images of my now 6 month old again and had another great experience! I would highly recommend Enlightened 4D to anyone who would like to take an extra look at your little one! read more

I love Enlightened Imaging!! Family run and just amazing. I have been here twice for early gender scans on both my babies at around 15w5days for each. Both times Jon and receptionist were sooooo kind and professional. Very clean and comfortable office - in the private room they have a large comfortable couch for any kids or family and friends you invite along with you & they project the images on a large screen on the wall movie style so everyone gets a great view. Jon is extremely knowledgeable and really takes his time to make sure you are comfortable and feel like you are getting everything you are paying for and more. He never rushed and really took the time to make sure he and we got a look at everything :) he was also correct with determining the gender of both my kids at 15+weeks pregnant. Don't waste your money and regret going ANYWHERE else for an elective gender scan in the twin cities. Go here and experience the best!! read more

I really wanted my experience with my first child to be special. After talking to friends I decided to look into 3D ultrasound. I googled to see where I could get this done. Enlightened is the first thing that came up. I took at look at the website and was excited to see all of the information. The price of the packages was great! I expected to have to pay a lot more. Then I found out that several people I knew had used this same place. When we arrived the office was very nice and there were many beautiful pictures up. I filled out the papers and was offered a great freebie! Was very neat to get samples from them. Then our tech came to get us and showed us to the room. Was very comfortable in the room immediately. There were nice couches for family to sit and watch, a nice comfy table to lay on for me, several screens and a very large projection screen right in front of me so I could see every detail! The tech was very enthusiastic and well informed. He made the experience very comfortable for both me and my family. He explained what and why I was experiencing things, where the baby was positioned, and even had a small doll to show me about how big and how he was sitting in my tummy. We got great pics and our CD and DVD. Then upon leaving I received another gift. Was so excited about our appointment that it was all we could talk about the rest of the day. This was a great choice for such a neat experience. I would definitely return. I will highly recommend this to all of my friends who are expecting. read more

I've been to multiple ultrasound locations in various states and Enlightened was my favorite by a mile. The owner, Jon, was my technician and I thought he did a fabulous job. He got the clearest photos of my baby and he was very professional while still maintaining a level of excitement for our new baby. Some of these reviews are talking about his "ugly bragging" or him "knocking down other shops", and this is simply not true. I've never met someone who has such pride in the work that he does and it's a shame if that's coming off as bragging. Yes, he is confident in his skill and his equipment; that shouldn't rub you the wrong way, that should put you at ease! He's put his life work into treating every client as someone special rather than sliding "meat across a table", and if people can't see that, they're really just looking for a reason to be unhappy. The gift bags that he gives are a nice touch and who doesn't love free gifts?! I will 100% be a client here until the baby is born. Hands down the best place in town. read more

When I was pregnant with my now 18m old son, the clinic that I was going to automatically gave us 3D/4D images of my son, along with a DVD with extra pictures for free. Now with my daughter (27 weeks pregnant) I am with a different clinic and they do not offer it, They actually didn't even make my 18 week ultrasound enjoyable at all because they rushed threw it and made me feel like they were just worried about the next patient. So I wanted to get that great feeling I got when I was pregnant with my son. I had googled some places and came across Jon's (Enlightened Images) website. Almost every single review or testimony was 5+ stars... seemed sketchy so I thought this place was a scam. Although skeptical, and speaking to the receptionist, Bonnie, who was a sweet as a cupcake, I went along and made the appointment. As soon as I walked in, Jon was the nicest, most down to earth person EVER!!!! He made the whole ultrasound the most pleasurable experience ever!!! He did not at all rush the appointment along, he took his time, sat there and talked with my friend and I, let alone the equipment that he used was hands down, the best of the best of the best! My baby girl had her hands over her face and he didn't rush along while trying to move them, he took his time and although her hands finished on her face, lol, we got some AMAZING pictures!!! The room was extremely comfortable with many comfy couches and chairs, Jon was amazing! I will actually spend the money and go back for another one before my daughter is born just because the experience was just that amazing!!!
