Great food! We bought one local dish called makakas (not sure that is right name) and it was more than enough for two of us. The base was mixed plantains and sweet potatoes then filled with chicken, vegetables, spinach, cheese and topped with real bacon bits. Very unique and delicious . Service was friendly and fast. Then we went across the street to the ponce center and ate by the fountain and listened to live music. There was also a car show. The whole experience was an unexpected delight. read more

My wife and I were walking around Ponce and found this gem. It's a food truck near the center of the city. I had a burrito with chicken, spinach, tomato, and mozzarella. They also filled a crust around the fillings with potato. The chicken was so tender and had the taste of a sopa de pollo. The most wonderful food! We absolutely love En Las Papas and make sure to pick up some burritos and bowls from here every time we are in Ponce. The service is terrific and incredibly efficient.
