If I could give them 0 stars I would. My husband and I were less than 5 minutes late for a tour due to a bike race that caused many road closures and made it impossible for us to get to the meeting point despite being on schedule to be there 20 minutes early. The tour operators did not even try to reach out to us to see if we were still coming nor did anyone let us know about this race which we had no idea was happening. The tour left without us, we couldn't even get any tickets that we paid for to enter the sites even without a guide, and they refused a refund. I'm disgusted by their lack of understanding and compassion about this situation that was out of our control. Many people missed their tours that day because they simply could not get to the meeting points. read more

Booked a tour in Rome, didn't realise the public transport system was atrocious. We were late for the activity, messaged them to advise of this, however got no reply. When got to the meeting point, were told it was too late. Asked for a refund, however they are not honouring this, avoid this company. There customer service is not great either. read more

Wow- I am so glad I didn't look at the reviews before I booked. We had the best tour of our trip with this group. Larissa was wonderful. So kind and so knowledgeable- and her English was flawless. We saw the catacombs, the Appian Way (Appia Antica), stopped for coffee at a wonderful coffee place on the Appian Way, and, finally, saw the aqueduct ruins. It was a marvelous day- partly due to the weather, which was amazing, but also due to Larissa's historical knowledge and her ability to communicate her enthusiasm for Rome's past. Enjoy Rome met us exactly where they said they would, our tour left right on time, the van was comfortable, and, as I've said, the tour was perfection. So coming to Rome for the first time I figured we definitely needed to visit the Vatican and we would need a tour to take us around all the important must see sites. We booked this tour thru trip advisor and it was roughly $44 a person for 3 hours. We arrived 20 minutes before departure at the enjoy Rome ticket office. Realized our tour guide was an older woman in her late 50s early 60s and loved her job. It was great for the first hour or so then I was over it. I loved the sites and the learning that went hand in hand with the tour, but she was too controlling and limited what we could see while on the tour. She always wanted us to stay close, took us to the places she wanted to go, rather than allowing us to roam the space and meet her after a few minutes. It was frustrating and multiple times I left the group, kept my radio on and did my own thing. Had I not left the group I would have been able to see lost of St. Peter's Basilica and St. Peter's Square. If you like tours and enjoy people showing your their favorite spots within a museum, look into this place. Otherwise, do what I did and blaze your own trail! read more

Definitely some pros and cons in booking our tour of the Vatican through Enjoy Rome. Pros: We got to skip all the lines and had easy entry in and around the Vatican, including the Sistine Chapel. arrived at incredibly crowded coliseum. walked around looking for the correct tour provider for 35 minutes. there were at least 50 tours going at 11am. when i finally found them, i was late and they said my tour had just gone in. my 4 tickets gone. £234 gone. they provided me a scan of my ticket to go around on self tour butagter waiting in 3 ques, denied access as tge tour had scanned the ticket. quite unhelpful. read more

We had a horrible experience with Enjoy Rome tours. Less than 24 hours prior to our tour, we were notified of a change in start time (from 10am to 12pm) for our 3 hour VIP Colosseum and Ancient Rome Tour. No big deal. When we arrived, the Enjoy Rome representative walked us over to another tour company (My City Rome) ... and left us there. Instead of a 3 hour VIP tour ... we received a 1 hour poor guided tour of the Colosseum. Repeated attempts to reach Enjoy Rome for an explanation have gone unanswered. There are many good tour companies in Rome ... I strongly suggest you select someone other than Enjoy Rome tours. read more

My family of four enjoyed the tour of the Vatican and St. Peter's Basílica on a Wednesday afternoon. We opted to update our tour to Spanish and the Enjoy Rome team were very gracious in accommodating us. They provided us with headsets, which were probably some of the best quality we had listened to on the trip. Upon leaving the Enjoy Rome offices, which are about two blocks away from the Vatican, we walked toward the main entrance and passed through security. Upon arriving, a family with children needed their tickets purchased, so the tour guide had to buy them and ask the rest of the group to wait, twenty minutes later we start the tour. They provided a tour of the antiquities, the tapestry room, the maps, the works by Raphael, and finally the awe inspiring Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo. Once past the Sistine Chapel, we were able to walk straight through to St. Peter's Basílica (major time saver!). Once inside, we were provided the description of the writings on the wall as well as some of the most important sculptures. The only downside was that the outside courtyard was not explained and was missed even though it looked gorgeous. Regardless, it was worth the price (~$52 per person), and saved quite a bit of hassle in terms of time we would have waited in line for St. Peter's Basílica if we hadn't gone with the tour. We had a wonderful time on our tour of the Coliseum, a host of other famous Roman antiquities and ending up at the Pantheon. Sonja Vargas is responsible for this. She really made this tour for our family of four memorable, She was super knowledgeable, funny, organized, patient, and had a ton of great stories to tell the group. My husband, an architect, was really impressed with Sonja's knowledge of architecture and architectural history. Sonja worked the entrance guards to each antiquity masterfully; she propelled us to engage in each chapter of the stories of each antiquity; and she hit her marks with effortless precision. Though it was a nice day in a fabulous location, Ms. Vargas pushed the envelope a ways beyond fabulous for us. We recommend this tour with Sonja! read more

I would never take this tour ever again & never recommend them. First, our instructions were incorrect and had to walk to another place to check in. The check in was super impersonal. The semi-private tour was with 14 people! The tour guide was the WORST I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE & I've been to over 20 countries. She was giving me anxiety because she was so worried, saying "Oh Dio" into her microphone always & biting her nails, obviously never having to have a group to guide. She was knowledgeable, that's why I gave her 1 star. Her monotonous voice and just running through everything SUPER FAST without any pauses for direction or emphasis was just horrible. Then she had an accent (I do too, so it doesn't bother me at all), but I could not understand her English and in the same sentence she would say things in italian (and I speak Italian), that would be like "oh, no!", "this is so crowded" or "wow-what should I do". The most horrible tour guide. I asked her two questions, one she couldn't answer, just repeated that Rafaello painted his own portrait in that corner. Then, at the end of the tour, asked her a question twice and she didn't want to answer it because she was more worried about LOOSING 2 of the tourists with our group (they led the group almost 30 min before she noticed). Looking at the other reviews, it seems Enjoy Rome has either changed management or I caught them on a really, really good day. I had a wonderful morning on their Catacomb tour. Most tours are hit or miss depending on the guide's personality, and I struck gold with Mariah. Mariah was a wonderful tour guide and really brought the catacombs and aqueducts alive today with her fun storytelling and anecdotes. The tour I admit did not start on time as the shuttle was late, but the staff was apologetic (so rare in Italy) and bought us all coffee to give us something fun to do while we waited for 30 minutes. The tour wasn't shorted because of the delay, so this didn't bother me at all. read more

Maybe I should read reviews before I book? Ooops, too late. Enjoy Rome was a front for professional pick-pockets. They did not succeed only because I was vigilant 24hours per day in Rome. Monica (the "guide") set up the scene by, first asking our nationality (over the radio-microphone), and then running us past objects - telling us to "look to the right" while a bump and grab approached on the left. Monica was fairly useless for providing any historical information - like a normal tour "guide". She provided flawed facts, and she had no clue when asked pretty basic questions. Monica became deflated when it was clear that their bump and grab was unsuccessful, and she began to talk briefly about dreams of retirement. I guess she does not enjoy Rome after-all. read more

Unorganized, late, made us wait an extra hour even though we arrived early as had been instructed. I do not recommend.

I arrived and the office was completely dark. Then finally someone showed up LATE. When I got inside they told me my English tour guide would not be showing up and that the rest of the English tours were already fully booked. Thankfully, I speak Spanish so I was able to book one for 2 hours later. That tour guide was late. Then I was upset because I had paid extra to have a small group of 12 in the English group but because I was placed in the Spanish one there was 24 people. I tried to stay positive and not let it ruin my experience of the Vatican Tour. But it kept getting worse. They rely on a stupid little sticker and walking through security mine fell and the tour guide threatened to not let me in because I had no sticker. Luckily, I had a copy of my voucher. She was very rude and became upset when I spoke English telling me that I'm not in the English tour so I needed to speak Spanish. Just don't waste your time or money. read more

Horrible service; if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. First, we were told to arrive at least 30 minutes before the tour. My family and I showed up at the assigned time only to be told that the key had been broken and there was no way inside the office. Approximately 20 minutes later, the problem was seemingly solved. Unfortunately, the English speaking tour guide was a no show. They offered us a refund or just to go to the Vatican on our own without the Skip The Line passes we paid for. After talking to the lady, we were able to get on the Spanish speaking tour. Unfortunately for the other American tourists, they had to go wait in the super long line without a tour guide. We had to wait for another hour for the Spanish tour to start. When it finally did, things weren't any better. We had paid extra for a small group tour of 12 people and ended up going with 23 people. Going through security, the Enjoy Rome sticker they had given the group had fallen off. The guide almost kicked us out of the group saying "How is it that your sticker fell off and everybody still has there's?" Finally, she let us go after we had to take out our voucher. The tour was too fast paced without much time to stop for souvenirs. If you want to stop, you have to go back on your own time because the guide doesn't take any breaks. On top of it all, they gave us these devices to hear our guide and had the guts to tell us that if we lost our guide don't go back to the hotel, but turn in the device. I do not recommend this company at all! City Wonders is much better. There are less people and more attentive staff. read more

Miserable experience! If you want to enjoy your trip, do not book a tour through this company. We paid for a 3-3&/2 hour tour. The tour only lasted 1&1/2 hours at which time the tour guide abruptly said it was over. Plus, her explanations were not all that helpful and she was hard to understand. This was on a tour of the Vatican where I saw numerous guides give detailed explanations and took people through areas where we didn't go. There are reputable tour companies. Wow I could not disagree more with some of these reviews, maybe we got lucky with who our guide was? We met near the Colosseum, which is quite chaotic, but once we found the tour crew, it was a breeze from then on. We had a woman named Larisa who was funny, entertaining and obviously so passionate about the historical culture of Rome. She was wonderful! We took the Ancient Rome walking tour, which ends up being around 4 miles of walking, but it was so worth it, and was honestly so amazing that anyone could hold an entire groups attention that long. read more

We purchased service. We were in purple group.. 11am 6/25/2015. We paid for 3 kids and 2 adults online upon booking. But when we got to the museum they told us to lie and asked my son to say that he's 5 yrs old today, I guess because it's free. But we paid for him online. The tour guide could barely speak English and was very unorganized. She kept on telling our group to meet us at certain points of the museum like we knew our where abouts. She was extremely rude and refused to give out her name. What's the point of paying for tour "guide" if they won't guide. Multiple families are lost as well. As we were exiting one section of the one of the chapel and was looking for her, other employees from the same company took our audio tour device as we were explaining that we lost her the guy said "oh well" and took the devices. We didn't get to finish the tour. We should had paid at the gate our selves and waited in line.. BEWARE of this company. We strongly suggest use City Wonders instead. we used them for the collesum and they were friendly, organize and knowledgeable. read more
