After visiting once I have never been anywhere else. The studio do fantastic offers via there Facebook page - and they appear to be good at everything! I usually get my hair cut and coloured and treat myself to a full body massage whilst there. However I have had all sorts done including brow waxing, body waxing, facials, lash lift, nails etc. The staff are friendly and professional, they do a really great job. The owner is lovely too. They also run a loyalty scheme and you can get discounts for leaving them reviews after a visit. I'm not sure how good public transport links are from the city centre - but it is around a 25 minute drive and there's on street parking available. It's a bit further out but totally worth it. I really love this salon. You should check them out for your beauty needs.

I booked an appointment for the following day with Gill. Aside from Gill's pleasant personality, she also knows what you mean when you say, "I want a trim." She doesn't go hack off 5inches of your hair! She actually takes off the minimal amount to even out the cut and make it look healthy again, while still maintaining the length. Gill is also a color master! I wish I could part and wield my hair the way she did! She zapped all my greys and made sure my color looked like my natural dark color and not some gothic chic. Conveniently a few steps from work, great service, and reasonable prices means I will be back for sure!

I don't dislike getting them but I generally feel like I don't get good advice and just end up getting a trim. I'm also just lazy about it. I've since had my hair cut twice at Polly & Molly and have been really pleased with the results both time. I've still only really had a trim but it was just a much nicer experience than I've had. The small things make a difference. So many places end up straightening my hair really flat. They still straighten it but it's bouncy flat instead of dead looking flat. I've also just generally felt really well taken care of and feel more comfortable to the point where I don't postpone my haircuts to the same extent. On top of this, the prices are reasonable and they have a student discount.

I walked all around the Partick area, and decided to try Tina Reilly for a stand by cut. The receptionist said there was availability and to take a seat! Get in!!! The salon itself is small, with a total of about 5 chairs. It has an upmarket look with a locals feel to it. Classy blacks and silvers through out, it's a nice place. I was only sitting for about 5 minutes before the receptionist took me back to get my hair washed. I was a bit mortified at the thought of not having a wee consult with the stylist before getting my hair cut. For those of you who have seen my hair, there's a lot there, and who ever is going to cut it needs to see what he/she's in for. Oh well, to the washing! Nothing fancy to speak of, but the way she dried my hair was a bit on the comical side. i felt like I was a dog and she was drying my long shaggy fur. I mean, I know i have really thick hair, but c'mon! Lighten up on the scrubbing! She sat me down at a chair and along came Emma. Oh Emma. I'm always weary of new stylists, but I've definitely found a diamond in the rough here. Very unassuming, she may even be a new stylist (I failed to ask), but once she combed out my hair, she asked what it was I was looking for. My typical response is "I'm growing my hair out, but it's at that blah phase- can you layer it?" Soon there after, i usually regret uttering the words "layer" because I usually walk out of a salon with "shelf" hair. What is "shelf" hair you might be wondering? It's when a stylist layers my hair, all one layer and it's like my hair has a shelf in it. It's hideous and i want to cry until it's grown out. I kid..... Anyway, Emma went at my hair like a baker to a cake, cutting and trimming and layering with ease. Wisps of wet hair fell to my lap, 2 inches at a time. I held my breath thinking that i might leave yet another salon mourning the loss of my hair, but I just let her go. If there's one thing I've learned in my many years of hair cuts, HAIR GROWS BACK. She finished and said she was going to dry it to see if it needed more layering. That's when my smile grew! She is a master hair cutter, dryer and straightener in my eyes!! My hair was perfect. Like the women on the streets who's hair i envy...mine now looks like that! Now, if i can recreate the way I look now tomorrow, once I've washed my hair again. Emma is a blessing, and you should recommend her if ever you are looking for a great hair cut! I will definitely be back!
