Prolete was one of a number of physical therapy practices recommended following my knee replacement…read moresurgery. I called about 2 weeks before I was to start and the receptionist complained to me that my doctor should have told me to call sooner as they had no openings. We agreed that I could go for my initial evaluation and consult to their Hamden facility (near the tunnel on the Merritt Parkway), and then I could do my follow up appointments in Milford. I completed online all my paper work, scheduled the initial assessment and then heard nothing. When I called them for my Milford appointments, they told me they did not have any and I would need to continue with Hamden. This is a trek from Milford and I was 2 weeks post op and unable to drive yet. Luckily, I was able to find another practice in Milford that was able to see me when I needed to begin. Not impressed.

This gentleman is compassionate and very personable. I would highly recommend him to anybody in my family. He's the best, and I've been to many physical therapy agencies . I have had many surgeries in the past. I've had two fusions in the back, five knee operations, and one neck operation for the spine. Thanks to Keith, I can still ride a bicycle, go to the gym, and golf. I'm 82 years old and as active as I was in my 60's. If I need care in the future I would definitely go back to Prolete Physical Therapy. Carl W

TOP NOTCH! EXCELLENT Chiropractic skill set. Acupuncture was spot-on. Dr. Hom consistently asks…read morefor details of the problem(s) and solicits feedback during and after the session so the problem(s) can get fixed. He is generous with his time and knowledge. I have never felt like Dr. Hom was annoyed or judging me for short-comings (ex: not doing some exercises one week). I have only waited once (for 3-5 minutes) to check in, transition to new activities, or pay out, and that was because another patient had some important questions for him. [Now that I think of this, the only other place in healthcare where I don't usually wait is with my N.D.... Rarely waiting in healthcare is SO RARE!] After prescribing helpful exercises at home, I also appreciated his female assistant reviewing these with me while he went on to work with another client. I consistently feel GREAT after a session with him. Greg Hom is a QUALIITY individual, TOP-NOTCH professional and has a heart to serve the New Haven community. Try him out: you won't be disappointed.

I was doing stairs 2 hours after my operation and I did not do one step at Rehab Associates. My new rehab place and my in house therapist for my right knee both said my left knee should have been further along AND I did more PT at home than I did at Rehab Associates. Complete waste of time. I could not recommend them at all. They just care about hurrying up, getting you in and getting you out. My half hour session consisted of 5 minutes on the bike and 5 minutes icing you down. Since 2018, i've had a few dead-end experiences with multiple physical therapists in the New Haven area, where they couldn't determine the underlying issues and mainly advised me to stop working out. However, in the short time i've been working with Patrick, I've made significant progress in moving pain free, getting much stronger, and having better mobility for both working out and daily activities. He takes his time to determine the problem, listens to what issues are arising that day, and changes the therapy/routine to adapt - all things that have helped a lot in my recovery.

I read the reviews first, probably like you are doing now, then I called and explained my vast health issues and knew from the first appointment that I had found a true professional that knows his stuff. Who knew that a chiropractor was going to be the one to ease my symptoms and share valuable insight and give me exercises (vestibular, digestive, autonomic etc) to get me to a better place? The level of care, the people, and the overall environment at Center Rehab are just different. I actually look forward to going, which is not something I've ever said about physical therapy before. Everyone there is patient, kind, and genuinely invested in helping you get better. You don't feel rushed or like you're just another patient being moved through the door. They take the time to listen, answer questions, and make sure you're comfortable. There is a really positive, therapeutic atmosphere, and you can tell that the staff truly care about the people they work with. I especially want to recognize Brian, the owner. It is obvious that he cares deeply about his patients and takes a lot of pride in the environment he has created. His dedication comes through not only in the way he treats patients, but also in the staff he has surrounded himself with. There is a level of compassion and genuine human connection at Center Rehab that I have not experienced at other PT facilities. Having experienced other physical therapy practices, I can honestly say that Center Rehab is in a league of its own. If you are looking for a place where you will be treated with respect, patience, and genuine concern for your recovery, I highly recommend Center Rehab. You will be hard-pressed to find a better combination of skilled care and a truly supportive therapeutic environment.
