I've been on it once or twice before but can't remember if I enjoyed it, so I'll have to go back someday. I mostly love visiting the gardens. It's free to enter. The garden is small and takes about 5-10 minutes to walk through, but it's so peaceful and a great spot for photos! I love the bridge and admiring the bright green foliage. It's worth the stop if you are nearby. It is very close to downtown Geneva and Batavia, and both towns have plenty of things to do! You can definitely make a day trip out of it. It's a beautiful windmill on the outside and inside and everything is basically made of wood. And you have these really friendly staff or volunteers who teach you about the history of the windmill. There's also a beautiful Japanese garden with many different types of plant entries. It's a great place to take pictures if you're having an event or for a wedding.

Rather than touching grass itself, we decided to spend time in nature and just enjoy all that the park had to offer. We visited the farm park and took in the various garden areas, and the butterfly house. Our little guy was just blown away with the butterflies flying everything and had such a blast watching them land on his head. It was free as was the parking and everything is close by. Such a fun place to pack a picnic and enjoy the park.

Well this time we headed out specifically to explore this Island Park and thanks to other Yelpers with parking tips. There is a public lot at the corner of 38 & 25 just across from the bike shop and there is also another entrance and parking lot down 25 (the sign says Island Park & also the Water Reclamation facility). It's a nice long island in the Fox River with a little something for everyone. They have many picnic tables and a LOT of benches all along both sides next to the river. The paths are paved and easy to manage. There are restrooms & also a playground for the little ones. Plenty of trees for shady areas if you want to get out of the sun as well. And there is a pedestrian bridge that runs under the train bridge to cross over to the opposite side of the river and continue on the bike/walking Fox River Trail. A perfect little respite spot if you are shopping in the often hustle-bustle of downtown Geneva and need a break.

This is the best disc golf course in The Kane. Hands down…read more My 6yr old son and I head over here all year round to play this course. The Wheeler disc course sculpts a greater park that also claims several walking/bike paths, a baseball field, soccer/hockey fields, picnic areas, a playground, a mini golf course and tennis courts. Some of the holes are too hard for him to come close to par, but others are a great fit for his current ability. The course has a great range in difficulty which spans from easy par 3's to challenging par 4's. Legging out the entire course is about a 2 mile venture. The backwoods holes are a real hoot. Can't tell you the number of times I've headed into the tree's or the ravine to find a disc that's hooked too far right or left. Throwing from the top of the hill on hole #11 is a person fav. Just don't be surprised if you have to perform the aforementioned trip on a stray disc. Other holes feature baskets on the other side of a cluster of tree's, some border natural grass/reed areas, while others have very lengthy fairways weaving lines of tree's. Amenities-wise there's a drinking fountain near the parking lot and bathrooms near the playground. If you need anything else, bring it. Most golfers here like to bring their own beverage of choice. The ground is super squishy rubber matting: nice shock absorbtion for all the running, and a fall on that wouldn't hurt nearly as much as on other material. The swings are surrounded by wood chips. There are several covered picnic areas and lots of trash/recycling bins. There's a sledding hill and a stadium as well. The grounds were well maintained: clean, grass and plants cared for. There's not just the spray pad, but a playground, swings and covered picnic area with tables and benches. There are lacrosse fields right next to it so more open space for the kids to run around. For a variety of things to do, I highly recommend Mount Saint Mary Park.
