The men who run this carpet stall are father and son. The father taught us about where the carpets were from. He also told us he had a "sister in Manhattan, 40 years!" Every salesman in Istanbul has a "brother in San Diego." Not sure I believed him, but either way they gave us some Turkish tea and we were on our way to haggle city. They brought everything in their piles down to show us. It was impressive. We did the dance for a little while, and at the end, we had a price we both liked.
