I was having some discussion with a neighbor over who was responsible for the upkeep of a particular fence and just to make sure there were not any further issues I reached out to Wilson Surveying. The owner was extremely attentive to my concerns, and had his crew out to the house in short order. They located the markers and the survey was completed in a timely manner. The final survey map showed that I was in the right, thank God, but it's also nice to know exactly where the sewer easement is and just have everything in order just in case any additional concerns come up or for down the line if I sell the house. This company did a survey for us. The survey was fine, but the billing was not. They billed us for…read morethree hours even though I was home and am sure they were not in the vicinity for that long. I do understand that some of the survey work would not have been on my property, but I drove through the neighborhood on an errand about halfway through the time they were billing for having been there and did not see them in my neighborhood. It is not plausible to me that more than 50 percent of the time they were billing for was time that they were working on my project and yet not in view of either my house or my neighborhood. When we questioned the times they were there at the time of billing, they could not specify what hours they were supposedly there. I actually think they undercharge by the hour and make up for it by padding the hours. The work was good but to me nothing makes up for shadiness in billing practices.
