Certainly not precision construction who did the original work. However they were hired to repair the issue. Our association hired Jim Pellock at Percision construction to come up with an appropriate solution. These panels were put down last fall and that's when I started to express my concerns to our homeowners association regarding the workmanship. As the temperature rises the panels buckle significantly and omit a horrible odor that makes it impossible to open our sliding glass door and enjoy any breeze when it's above 75°. Upon complaining to Crescent Green Condominium Association, the response back from our management company diversified via our HOA, was that Jim suggested that I place a rug down on my patio to remedy the problem. Jim also offered me an additional option, of choosing a different type of surface for an up charge of $2000 at my own expense. Additionally, The surface is almost impossible to sweep with the broom and I even had to buy a shop vac to address just maintenance as far as leaves and pollen. I can live with that piece, however I cannot live with the smell nor the fact that as the temperature increases the panels buckle significantly. What is it going to look like when we hit 95°?

The owner Larry shows up and spends ten minutes covering the hole in the roof with a sheet of plywood that I supplied. He wants $150 to do something that I could have just as easily done myself. Larry then promised that one of his employees will be by there the next day to take measurements and work up a quote to make proper repairs. NO SHOW. I wait an entire week, and during that time I go ahead and contact suppliers to get a price on the materials needed in case I have to do the job myself. After seven days I call Fortified and asked about my quote. No one has any idea that I was waiting for service. I finally get a call from Larry and he gives me a final price for the simple repair. No one had visited my home to get measurements or to ensure that they were matching the materials for the job. I did not receive a written quote for the job. The materials needed for the job cost about $55. Time to complete around 30 minutes. Given the other expenses (insurance, fuel, vehicles etc..) that Fortified has to make to stay in business there is no way that I should be billed $650. I told Larry that I thought that price was about twice what was acceptable and he hung up the phone.

The sellers immediately replaced the roof and gave us the contact information for the contractor incase we needed it. Fast-forward two months and a large storm revealed a leak in the roof that was causing water to drip into our kitchen. The contractor the sellers hired would not/has never responded to our calls. The seller claims they don't have their information any more. We were given the run-around by every roofing company in town because they "did not install the roof and won't fix someone else's work"...so we had nowhere to go. I called numerous contractors in town and only two answered the phone. One was S & K Roofing (who showed up, asked if they installed the roof, and abruptly walked away saying they don't fix other people's work) and the other contractor to answer was Everest Exteriors. I explained over the phone that Everest Exteriors did not install the roof but we could not get ahold of the contractor who did. They said it wasn't a problem and would send someone the next morning to look at the roof and make as many suggestions for what might be the problem as they could and how we might be able to fix them myself (if that were an option). The next day they personally showed me where they thought the issues were, explained what I could do to try and fix them (other than finding the previous contractor or hiring someone to completely redo the roof), and told me to call them if I had any more questions. I was able to make the initial fixes they recommended by myself and, sure enough, we were able to fix the initial leak and have not found any new ones since! Although we did not have Everest Exteriors work on our roof, they were extremely helpful and courteous enough to come to my house in person, climb on the roof, personally show me the problems spots, and explain what to do to fix them. Thank you Everest Exteriors!
