I mean... I would do it... if there was like no one left... but I'm just not really about all that excitement. I don't know if my heart could handle it! I'd be sitting, waiting for the bell to start ringing, nervous as a hen in a fox den! I met with one of the station coordinator once who showed me their event facilities. The top floor of the station is used for events. Community members can rent it out. It's a little drab, but hey, the funds support the fire station! This fire station receives a LARGE portion of it's funding through the community. I live down the street, and they are constantly busy. It is one of the busier stations in the area, from what I can tell. Thank you firefighters! For everything you do! Not just putting out fires either. They hold shrimp and oyster feasts at the station too!

We wound up canceling 1 day before our 30 day trial period. Ridiculously disorganized. Can't trust my safety to a company that can't even figure out how to get additional add ons ordered for you. By the way the online order system didn't work to order the parts, so trying to get a knowledgeable human was impossible!

Despite my home being protected by an APC surge protector and a Ting monitoring system (which confirmed no surges occurred), the first technician insisted a power surge "fried" the board. Ironically, the system came back online just by wiggling a connector. When I requested a second opinion, ADT quoted a $59 service fee. However, the second technician informed me mid-job that I would be charged $240 per 30 minutes. I was presented with a bill for nearly $500 to troubleshoot a $170 part. The technician refused to leave my home until I signed the work order. While a manager eventually reduced the bill to $300 "under protest," I felt coerced and price-gouged. After 13 years of loyalty, I am extremely disappointed in this lack of integrity.

Without an education about inspection or servicing my extinguishers, I just assumed the units would work when needed and I would know instinctively how to use them. So, 'attending to my home's extinguishers' never made it to my to-do list. After getting a brief education on youTube, I learned how critical fire extinguishers are to home safety. Since Fire Departments are so enthusiastic about smoke, carbon dioxide, and radon detectors, I was disappointed to learn that not only do they not execute recharging and inspections but the service rep had no referrals. Recommendations to homeowners regarding fire extinguisher protocols, inspection, and usage should rate the same attention as their smoke detector promotions. Workshops on when and how to use fire extinguishers should be standard in our schools, hospitals, airports, businesses, home owner insurer inspections, etc as well as part of our Fire Departments' community education programming, locally and nationwide. Think about the potential exposures to fire during and after impacts on structures by extreme weather events. Moreover, so many vehicles have recalls with warnings of spontaneous combustion while driving and/or when garaged. Even airplanes, electric vehicles, and electronic devices have increased instances of battery fires and explosions. Domestic airlines just established a mandate that all battery packs and battery-driven devices be displayed and NOT packed in cargo OR in overhead cabin luggage due to recent fires. Nonetheless, my online search turned up F&M FIRE PROTECTION with a five star rating for inspection and recharging fire extinguishers, among other services. This company should be on the Fire Department's resource list for local fire extinguisher services. Though I figured my units were too old to recharge, rather than default to an online purchase, my choice to visit in person was the right move. This location is a great value if you are in the market for fire extinguishers, inspection, and/or recharging. After shopping by browser, I found per unit rates to be same as online with the added value of receiving a full understanding of related data points you may not have considered. Though the building is tucked away in an industrial park, GPS can get you there without a hitch. Worth the side trip to be struck by the high-spirited, personable attention you get, delivered by a light-hearted team with a gallery of antiques on display.

They also stated that BN's claim that the fire department would charge them or us !000s of dollars for a fire alarm that went off on the testing of the system was simply a fabrication. Neither of us would be charged. Caveat Emptor. Let the buyer beware. BN charged us almost $1000.00 for a few overpriced fire extinguishers. BTW the technician himself was a very helpful and affable gentleman and this is no reflection on him.

I even asked them to email the results directly to my wife since I knew she would claim that I manipulated the document. If you have to take a Poly you may as well take one from someone who has been doing it for years and runs the Virginia School of Polygraph. Only thing I would do differently is I would have asked if they could write up a document dictating how polygraph isn't like the movies and cannot be manipulated. if I had asked that they send that with the results I'm sure they would have obliged.

Then tried to trick me into admitting to something I didn't do. Frustratedly, he finally dismissed me and said he'll look over the results more later. To get my test results I had to mail him $27 and he mailed me back a CD which arrived shattered (could have happened in the mail but I think it was intentional) and when I called to tell him he did not answer and will not return my calls. I don't know why an ex-police officer doing pre-employment polygraph testing for HIS PREVIOUS EMPLOYER is not immediately shut down as a conflict of interest. He's an interestin man to read about.
