There are plenty of parking and picnic tables under shade on the median. The playground is gated with a couple of benches. There are no swings but the playscape was big enough to entertain a few kids and my toddler. There is a slide and two tunnels. Even though it's on the smaller side, kids were still running around having fun with tons of space around them. The playground is also on turf (fake grass). I think this is a great touch to add this playground for the kids; once they are done shopping/eating at the restaurants with their parents, they have a space to let the energy out.

The playground has two playscapes. Parking can be found on street only. It's a nice playscape and is always busy when we go. However, it is not fenced in. There were plenty of green space to run around. It can get difficult to keep track of your child since it's busy. There are trash cans and it is walking distance to the rose garden. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood playground and it's nice that it was created in honor of a little girl, Ana.

The neighbors in that area were always very kind to me, but it's also important to be aware of their families and privacy. It's not a place for large group gatherings or non-residents to host events. There are water fountains, waste disposal, and lots of seating, but there are not picnic tables or public restrooms. It's a beautiful park and I always make it a stop on my walks!

During our stroll around the park, we found a nicely maintained walking path cutting through the greenery and up to the park's free Disc Golf course. Just show up and shoot a round, as long as you bring along your own discs. The centerpiece of the park is a six-acre pond with three water fountains shooting streams of water high into the air. There were two long boardwalk bridges over the lake which gave us some nice views of fish and ducks hanging out in the lake. Throw in a playground, a gazebo/pavilion, picnic space, and some public art sculptures, and you have everything you need to spend some relaxing time in a pretty location.

But drive in, meander your way in through the big looping entry road, find a spot to park, and feast your eyes on all of the features Rye Street Park has to offer. We saw little kids climbing on the playground equipment, we saw a big group of children having soccer practice, and we saw four or five teens and adults playing pickleball. The park's facilities have everything - biking and hiking trails, picnic tables and restrooms, a snack bar, enormous open spaces for soccer/lacrosse, two football fields, and a softball field. We walked the grounds to get in a few steps on a gorgeous sunny day and were struck by how clean the park was. There weren't any trash, litter, nip bottles, or chip wrappers anywhere. And best of all, not a trace of dog poop to be found. What a pleasant visit we had!

Playground review only:…read more One of the best playgrounds I've been to; it's new, clean, and big. My toddler loved it and so did I. Yes, I went down the slide a few times with my infant and he loved it too. The view from the playground was also spectacular, the rolling hills of Simsbury. This playground is located near a golf course, rink, tennis/basketball courts, and trail. I have not used those yet, so no review on those. The playground had a bunch of picnic tables under a gazebo. There were playscapes for 2-5 year olds as well as 5-12 year olds. One of the playscapes has 3 levels if you count the ground. My favorites were the green tube and red swirly slides. There is a sign to take trash out with you since there are no trash cans. I noticed an older playground down the hill but it was muddy so I didn't go in it. I liked the rubber ground with mulch; smelled really fresh lol. Overall, great playground and will be using it often.
