There are a few small, quality pieces of art on display and for sale as well as larger, more generic yet coordinated prints. Interior design aside, the smoothies here are great, as you would hope from a place called The Smoothie Company! Each one is made to order with fresh fruit and there are dairy and non-dairy options. The sandwiches are a good size, leaving you feel full and healthy after a sandwich/smoothie lunch. You get the quality you pay for with both of these. I was pleased to find out they recycle their glass bottles but wasn't surprised as the atmosphere suggests positive ethos. The staff are as cheery as the space, which is lovely, and will help guide you to one of the offerings if you need help - which you might - as there are many options. The whole gamut of the smoothie world is covered, from the naughty-but-tasty, to the milk-based, right through to the purest juices. I had something raspberry and mint based, and it was refreshing and delicious. I came here for a catch up with the lovely Gabrielle, and I wish I could remember which she had, as it also looked marvellous... Food courts become swamped with bodies and sticky fingers, and while it may not be the best option, a large veggie and fruit smoothie certainly fills a void. and it comes in a cup, and you can take it outside and sit on a bench and avoid, avoid, avoid. The smells coming from Juice are just to die for, everything smells so deliciously fresh and enticing, and you feel immediately healthy by proxy. The bright colours of the fruit lure you in, and for the price, there's a lot of fruit in your cup. Be it freshly pressed or blended it's still tasty, and filling. You can order premade combinations, or if there are ingredients in there you're just not fancying, you can suggest your own and have it tailor made. Standard sizes of small, medium or large, depending on your thirst and or appetite, and reasonably priced for the amount of fruit you get. As well as offering a range of delicious smoothies, I was pleased to see they offered alternatives to these, such as fruit juices, milkshakes and hot drinks, in addition to a range of sweet and savoury crepes (not quite as healthy as the smoothies, but a necessary evil in my opinion). They really don't mind if you're indecisive (like me) and will happily change anything for you. The menu is split into different sections with similar bases i.e. earth juices predominantly feature ingredients like carrot. I went for a juice with strawberry, blueberry, apple and orange. It was very refreshing and hit the spot, though I wasn't a fan of the pulp that was prominent about halfway through drinking. Service is fully with a smile and our juices were prepared in a flash. They have a very handy lid creator which you then pop your straw through, so no potential spills - which is especially good if you're in the car. That's all that goes into these bad boys, served up by smiley and friendly people who are more than happy to help you out with your five a day. And goodness me, do they taste like an indulgent treat. My medium sized Pineapple Blush, a simple blend of raspberry and pineapple, felt like a dessert, and at less than £3 it was a bargain too! In the Arndale Food Market as well. Where else? Now I know exactly where to get my frozen fruit fix while I'm shopping in the sales. Boost Juice are an Australian Juice Bar, they claim to be the worlds leading juice bar with almost 400 stores in 16 countries on their website. The staff seemed pretty friendly, and it had a pretty cool and lively feel to it, I like how they got the queues moving quickly, while still delivering good service and even asking about allergies. While the staff were great, my drink not so much... I do find the smoothies/beverages on offer here to be quite overpriced considering the quality, when you are paying high-end prices, you expect the quality to match but sadly they didn't seem to deliver that. I was disappointed with my King William Chocolate, the drink was way too thick for the straw meaning I had to drink it without the lid (Not good when everything is served to go), I found the chocolate to taste like poor quality dark chocolate and I couldn't even taste the vanilla. I did find it odd that they would mix chocolate alongside no-fat milk, surely anyone who is ordering a chocolate milk-based beverage is not overly concerned with calorie intake, it left the texture to feel a little strange. The extra star is for the service, I do not think I would return, but this place does always seem busy, so it is reasonably popular or perhaps people are that desperate for healthy food they put up with Boost due to their dominance of the mall with no real alternative. 2*
