Unfortunately, I've had to visit this ER more times than I'd like, but I've consistently been treated with dignity, compassion, and the level of care my situation requires. At the time of this review, there is ongoing construction, but if you're coming to the ER, that's probably going to be the least of your concerns. The staff has always made a difficult experience a little easier, and I'm grateful for the care I've received. 4/5 stars.

Outstanding Medical Team - Truly Exceptional Care…read more I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the entire Emergency Department team at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital who were on duty from May 30 to May 31, 2026. I arrived at the hospital suffering from severe pain, serious vein complications, and ongoing issues related to thrombosis. From the moment I entered the Emergency Department, I was treated with professionalism, compassion, respect, and genuine concern for my well-being. I would especially like to recognize Mike from the MRI department. Despite what was clearly a very busy shift, Mike demonstrated extraordinary patience, kindness, and professionalism. He carefully explained every step of the process, helped reduce my anxiety, and treated me with dignity and respect throughout my visit. His calm and caring attitude made a tremendous difference during a very difficult time. I would also like to sincerely thank Rachael Anita Utech, PA-C, for her outstanding medical care. Her professionalism, attention to detail, medical knowledge, and compassionate approach were truly remarkable. It was immediately clear that she genuinely cared about her patients and was fully committed to providing the highest level of care. The nurses and the entire medical staff deserve special recognition as well. Due to my vein condition and thrombosis-related complications, obtaining IV access was particularly challenging. Nevertheless, the staff handled everything with exceptional skill, patience, confidence, and professionalism. Every member of the team worked together seamlessly and made me feel safe and cared for. Over the years, I have visited many medical facilities, but this experience was different. I did not feel like I was simply a patient in a hospital. I felt as though I was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about me as a person. The atmosphere was so warm and supportive that it felt more like being welcomed by family than being treated in an emergency room. Unfortunately, my recent experience was really disappointing. Since my friend wasn't available, I booked with a different therapist and asked for the deep tissue upgrade. Before we started, I clearly explained that I'm a distance runner and was looking for something between a sports massage and deep tissue: focused work, but not the kind of super intense pressure that leaves you sore for days. The massage therapist was so nice and I really thought we were aligned. But pretty quickly, something felt off. It took me a while to realize what it was, but there was no music playing at the start of the session. The therapist didn't turn it on until 20-30 minutes in, which made the whole beginning feel awkward and not very relaxing. There were also some basic details that were missed. I had forgotten to put my hair up, and instead of helping manage it (like placing a towel over it, which most therapists do) my hair kept getting caught and falling onto my neck. Rather than addressing it, the therapist just avoided working on my neck altogether which is an area that really needed attention. As for the massage itself, the technique just didn't meet expectations. At times it felt like the therapist was attempting pressure point work, but without enough pressure to actually be effective. I did mention that I could handle more pressure, but there wasn't much adjustment. Overall, it didn't feel like a deep tissue or sports massage, more like a very light, unfocused session that didn't address what I had communicated beforehand. I left feeling frustrated and honestly pretty upset that I had used my monthly massage on an experience that didn't meet my needs. I typically tip 20-30%, but this time I only tipped 15% because of how disappointed I was. I ended up sitting in my car afterward and crying because I was so frustrated--both that the massage didn't help when I really needed it, and that I hadn't been more assertive in the moment. To their credit, when I reached out afterward, a manager named Jamal was kind and responsive. However, he said he wasn't local to the Marina del Rey location and would pass my concerns along. That was a week ago, and I haven't heard anything since. The lack of follow-up only adds to the frustration. Since I'm locked into a 6-month membership, I'll have to give it another try, but moving forward I'll likely only book with my friend and won't continue after my contract ends. Overall, this experience didn't match the level of quality or professionalism I expected from a place with Burke Williams' reputation.

Sign in, pay copay, and wait. The 2 receptionists I've seen are both pretty nice and helpful. When you get inside the place is nice and sparkly clean. Pretty small place. Didn't have to wait very long for the doctor after being led to my room either. The nurses have been nice and do their job well. Both times I've seen Dr. Kuo and he is great. He patiently answers all my questions and explains to me different options I have. He let me know what option he suggests and lets me decide what I felt comfortable with and we would take it from there. He's not the kind of doctor that will chit chat a lot, but he'll make sure to spend time to make sure you feel okay and that you have everything taken care of. The one thing I really like is that Dr. Kuo actually calls his patients himself. This way he can answer any questions you have and you're not getting a call from someone you might not have met before. So while urgent care can't take of everything for you, they still have very convenient hours which helps a lot for people who work regular hours. Still things only my pcp can do for me, but doctors are so hard to get a hold of in LA!

I had to use my own gaze wrap to cover up the area. Can't say anything about Dr. he was in-and-out...I guess I will know if his diagnosis is correct pretty soon. In early June, boyfriend passed out and fell at 1 am on a Saturday night. He must have hit his head, as he was disoriented, confused and had garbled speech. Thinking he was having a stroke, I called the paramedics, who arrived right away and rushed him to this ER. Over the course of several hours, they checked miscellaneous things, gave him fluids (as he was dehydrated), and finally checked him into the hospital around 5 am. The next day, they did a CT scan, found nothing and released him. Where they FAILED is that they did not schedule a follow up CT scan, which necessitated, in August, two months later, an emergency embolism procedure and bilateral subdural hematoma evacuation (brain bleed surgery) at the excellent Providence Little Company of Mary hospital in Torrance. In early August, boyfriend was having severe headaches, motor skills issues, and foggy thinking, so he came home early from work and we went to ER again at 2:30 pm (again having to deal with that absolute jerk of a security guard), where they ran a CT scan and MRI, and guess what? He had two brain bleeds (bilateral subdural hematomas) and needed to be transferred to a hospital with a neurology department, which took several hours. Absolutely ridiculous. When I dared to ask what was taking so long, I was snarkily told they were working on it, and that there were no available beds in LA with a neurology center, and they needed to find a hospital and transport to it, which took HOURS. He was not transported by ambulance to the hospital until 9:30 pm. As luck would have it, he was taken to Little Company of Mary, where he was scheduled for surgery first thing the next morning. I will be doing my research to find another ER near us. This place is terrible. The doctors and nurses do an okay job, but the amount of time taken to care for patients, especially for an emergency as in my boyfriend's case, is absolutely unacceptable.

I needed someone knowledgeable about menopause and hormone therapy, but also someone who would actually listen and understand my concerns. Dr. Jackson Johnson was exactly that physician. I do want to be honest about the process of getting the appointment, because the outsourced scheduling service was absolutely horrendous. It took weeks and multiple attempts to get through. The AI answering service took several messages from me requesting a call back, and I never received one. When I finally reached actual representatives, I encountered confusion, misinformation, and extremely frustrating communication. One representative told me I would need to stop my current hormone treatment because they only used a particular pellet system. Another representative repeatedly insisted I was trying to schedule with a surgeon, even though I explained that I simply wanted to see a physician knowledgeable about menopause. He even told me that every doctor is a surgeon. I was also asked unnecessary and overly personal questions rather than simply having my appointment scheduled.
