I don't get a root canal everyday, thank God, so I don't know how pleasant it should be. I can say the office is nice and clean. The techs were not what I'm accustomed to. One didnt know what the bony tori in my mouth even was....might need more training. The other didnt care and continued to insist I bite on the x ray film with all my might even when I told her it feels like Im biting on razor blades. She grabbed me by the fat under my chin, shook it and told me that if I would just relax it wouldn't hurt.....you cant relax a bone to my knowledge. My mouth was all torn up by the time I left there. One tech did an additional xray without covering my body with the apron.
My mouth hurt for 10 days, but I didnt think too much of it because the xray films were cutting me up. I noticed what I thought was a canker sore on the tori and decided I was going to take off the little white piece because it wasn't healing up..... Lo and behold! It wasn't a canker sore...it was a shard of what was probably tooth material embedded in my gums! Lots of blood came out of the hole and up from my gums under the tooth once I removed it. But man! My mouth felt much better after that!
Im sure this isn't the way they typically work, but it was my personal experience. Wish I had a better story to tell! read more
