This was my second time bringing my vehicle to Precision Auto Body & Detail. They have always done…read moregood work, or so I thought. Overall, the quality of their service and what they guarantee is spot on, but the attention to detail is lacking, heavily. For $400 I should be getting top-notch service. I should be the VIP of your establishment for the day! And I wasn't. Honestly, it's just simple things that shouldn't be overlooked that truly matter. What does a $400 "Complete Auto Detailing" get you? PROS: Exterior - Wash, Dry, Clay Bar, Wax, Protective Sealant, Wheel cleaning, and Tire shine. Your vehicle will glisten almost to perfection in a way that is showroom quality. Interior - As they claim, "a complete shampoo of the interior including the carpets, seats and floormats." And this is where it stops. CONS: Honor the time agreement! I booked my appointment on Tuesday 3/17 for Friday 3/20 and was told to drop my vehicle off between 8 and 8:30am. So I arrived at 815a on the day of my appointment, only to find that the front office door was locked, dark and unoccupied on the inside. It's not a good business practice to tell clients to arrive or be somewhere at a certain time and you, yourself, are not there. Exterior - No attention to detail for the small things. It's easy to spray on car washing foam and then pressure wash it off. But when you overlook the wheel wells that's an issue. The area that a spray wash just doesn't get it. Don't call yourself a "detailing shop" if you're not going to take the time to look at and address the minor details. My vehicle is White, and just like a Black car, it shows the dirt along with everything else. Had you been paying attention, you would have and should have caught this. Don't be afraid to get down on your hands and knees and put some "elbow grease" scrubbing effort into thoroughly cleaning ALL the parts that needed to be cleaned. If there's paint and clearcoat, it shouldn't be overlooked. Interior - While they also clean and wipe the door panels, dashboard or door jambs, this is where they fell short with the quality of service by my standards. My interior gas cap door was not cleaned/wiped. The engine hood was not opened nor was it wiped and cleaned either. (See pictures) It's not like I was asking for a steam cleaning of the engine bay, but nonetheless, it's a door with a crease and hinges. If your claim is "we wipe the door panels and door jambs," under the hood shouldn't have been overlooked. Again, details matter. Honestly, you didn't even try and make an attempt and it shows. The sad thing about this whole process compared to other detail shops is they don't "Deliver" your car to you. They don't walk you out to your vehicle and go over the details of everything that they did and inquire about your level of satisfaction. Because if it's not right they'll fix it. Unfortunately at Precision Auto Body & Detail you just walk in, pay, get your keys back, and then off you go. On to the next one. I've been to other auto detail shops that treat you like royalty from start to finish that are equally comparable in price. Maybe I'll spend the extra $200 somewhere else going forward, that I know for certain won't overlook the simple and minor details.

He clearly takes tremendous pride in his work, and it shows in both the quality of the results and the way he treats his customers. When I first reached out to Detailed by Precision, it was because I wanted to do something…read moremeaningful for myself for my birthday. I wasn't just looking for a basic clean: I wanted a deep, intentional transformation of my car. Inside and out. Its been YEARS. I had contacted a few different places, but Lim immediately stood out. The way he communicated, his responsiveness (thougutful, caring, considerate), was really meaningful. Even though his portfolio mostly features higher-end luxury vehicles, he didn't make me feel out of place. If anything, he understood what I was trying to do and genuinely wanted to meet me there! The booking process was easy. He walked me through what to expect, and we started sharing photos back and forth. He even pointed out things like chipped paint and small areas of rust that he could help improve--things I hadn't fully considered. And I didn't know could be accomplished (thought I had to go to other shops, etc). Before I even met him in person, I already felt a sense of trust. When I dropped off my car, he did a full walkthrough and pointed out details I didn't initially notice. His quote felt fair, and more importantly, it felt honest. Throughout the process, he kept me updated with progress photos, which I honestly loved! I felt like I was part of the process: getting little previews of something I was really excited about. By the time pickup day came around, I already knew it was going to be special. But seeing it in person was something else. He walked me through everything they did--inside and out. Some areas needed extra care, and he clearly put in that effort. The inside reminded me like when I first got my car. The ceramic coating added that final layer of protection. And he even took the time to recommend other places if I wanted to continue restoring certain parts of the car. All of his recommendations have been stellar, kind, and Im proud to say I was recommended by Lim. What really stood out to me is that he treated my car with the same level of respect and attention as the high-end vehicles he usually works on. He even mentioned that it reminded him of when he first started--when someone is truly invested in transformation. And that's exactly what this experience felt like! Driving my car afterward didn't just feel like driving a clean car--it felt like a reset. It felt empowering. Like stepping into something new. That's exactly what I needed. Lim is not only incredibly skilled at what he does, he's also just a genuinely good human being. You can tell this is someone who cares deeply about his craft and about people. I honestly wish I could give more than five stars. His work speaks for itself! Attaching photos of how shiny, like mirror/glass, the ceramic coating and shine my car has! Paul and team did a fantastic job finding the source of intense skunk stink in our car, cleaning it…read moreout, and along the way discovering and fixing some unrelated rodent damage. It was a messy, complex job. Not many people in the Bay will take on a job like this so we really appreciate Paul doing so! I drove the car home today and it's truly as good as new. HIGHLIGHTS In addition to the work we agreed on-which they did well-Paul also threw in a bit extra, doing a bit of bonus body work. He clearly cares and takes great pride in his work. NOTES This kind of work is labor-intensive and it required a lot of investigation-which means it was also quite expensive. We had a bit of sticker-shock in the end. I recommend asking periodically what the total will be because it snuck up on us. (Paul communicates a ton-by text and phone-but more about the details-so you might need to ask him to bring it back up to the big picture, and to get it summarized in a work order with an estimated cost that you can track.) And definitely get insurance looped in from Day One! That said, Paul's also working closely with us to get insurance to reimburse most of the cost. I'll update this review again when the insurance case is closed, and can hopefully add that the cost to us after insurance *wasn't* an arm and a leg (Fingers crossed!) But either way I'm confident that we're lucky to have had a team as caring and knowledgeable get our car back into livable condition.
