Needed my hair styled and showed the beautician my last cut and that the cut had been too short, but it was the right style. She proceeded to cut my hair shorter and it looks like a man's cut in the front, which I explicitly said I wanted it to be a feminine cut. My bangs aren't even and both sides are chopped up and not layered. Why can't anyone layer hair for a nice short cut without charging $50 and not cut it to the length and style requested. read more

I made an appointment here to get a haircut, which on their website is priced at $22. The woman on the phone specifically asked me if I wanted to get the shampoo, blow-dry, and styling, and I declined because I just wanted a trim and some light layering to frame my face (pretty basic haircut) (I also did not want to pay $40). I told her this was my first time at this salon, so I didn't have a preference for any particular stylist, so she booked me with Kathy. Once I arrived for my appointment, Kathy was not there, but I didn't mind. The woman, who I thought was the receptionist (the one I spoke to on the phone), proceeded to cut my hair. I had come in with my hair still damp because I washed it myself prior to the appointment, however without even asking, she used the blow dryer on my hair after she cut it (pretty harshly if I may add- there was smoke coming from hair, it was literally burning). But anyways, it does look very nice BUT I never asked for the blowdrying or anything extra! I was very, very clear on that. She ended up charging me $35, which may not seem that bad, but honestly being a broke college student and having the expectation that I am only paying $22 for a basic haircut did make me a little upset. I still tipped her, but I do feel as though I was taken advantage of, and will definitely not be returning to this salon :( Side note: On their website, they also advertise 10% off for first time customers, and I did emphasize that this was my first time, however it was never offered to me. When I brought up this deal to the person doing my hair, she said that she technically couldn't really do that because of her position or something, but I just said forget it. read more

I went in to have my hair colored dark brown or medium brown. No cut just a color. I even picked out the color sample. My daughter was with me and got her hair cut She. .my daughter...who is six. Had a great experience. She even looked wonderful. I on the other hand well I ended up with black hair. Not brown like I asked not dark brown or not even the color sample. Oh no jet black hair. The girl offered me a free cut after the fact..but I was not in the trusting mood after she had just blackened my hair. My daughter was even saying...mommy you have black hair!! I didn't make a scene because of my daughter and paid for my service..I will never go back there again...goes to show you can't trust your hairdresser. read more

I went to the one on Edgewood drive my appointment for makeup was at 2 with Taylor she started right at two so that was awesome! But.... I didn't walk out of there until 445 and I've told her multiple times I needed to be done by 4 so I can go home and get dressed and be on the road to Orlando by 445. I've gotten my makeup done before and it's never taken 2 hours and 45 minutes. When I got there she asked what dress I was wearing I showed her the dress and the color and I also asked her if she needed me to find an idea of how my makeup should look and she said NO she has it all on her head which I was okay with that because since she has her cosmetology license I trusted she knows best but through out the whole appointment she kept asking me why color I want for this and that and do I want blush, highlight and contour ... I told her I'm leaving it up to her because I don't know how to choose the right colors and that's why I'm here plus she said she already had the whole look in her head. On top of that my eyebrows were horrible!!! She used powder so I asked her to clean it up with concealer and she did not know what I was talking about!!! She did try though but she even told me she doesn't know. So she asked me to do it myself and I did. Anyways while I was doing my own eyebrows the puertorican woman (don't know her name) who is set up in the middle to the right when you walk in was doing Melissa's hair (another hair stylist) talking shit in Spanish about how she hopes Taylor will be charging me for this time because I will be paying more anywhere else. I'm 100% Dominican I'm fluent in Spanish but nobody ever guesses my race right because of my dark skin color, and that is okay with me because I get to hear people talk crap around or of me. This woman was being so loud and annoying she said this comment about wanting ding a lings and was laughing so hard that Melissa apologized to me and said she does not have any filter. I just smirked and continued doing my own eyebrows!!! Okay so now Taylor is done with my face and she's now asking me what color lips I want. She told me in the beginning she will choose in the end once my eyes are done since I was leaving it all up to her lol but she must've forgot. I told her to choose because I don't know what will match. So, she chose the color and it was really pretty. Okay so now it's lashes time ... she asked Melissa to do it because she's faster at them.. Taylor helped. My lashes were so so messed up they came up to my inner corner eye!! And obviously not even on my natural lash line lol I was like what is this can this be fix. They said no because it will be harder to put back on. So I took them off right there and made it clear I'm ready to pay. Taylor said you want me to reapply it and I said I thought y'all said you can't. ... she said nothing about that and just reapplied my lashes. It still wasn't applied correctly they were applied on top of the lash line. The Puerto Rican girl said mascara will make it look better. I said okay.. I applied mascara when I got home but that crap didn't work. My boyfriend even noticed!! He was able to see my real lashes and then the fake ones on top y'all lmao. I called my friend to complain and when she picked up on FaceTime the first thing she said was girl you should've called me to do your makeup and I was like wtf I just got it professionally done !!! like really. She even noticed my lashes through FaceTime. She told me to take it off but at this point I had no time to fix my eyeshadow and stuff. She charged me 45 and I tipped her 5 dollars because Melissa stood right next to me watching my every finger move. So 50 dollars wasted. I was not happy at all. I was better off doing my own makeup. The other two girls were so ready to leave they were packed and just waiting until Taylor or me was done and I just kept getting rude dirty looks by the Puerto Rican girl... on top of that she was such a shit talker of this other girl name Melissa that also works there!! Omg she wouldn't shut up about her she kept mentioning how she was going to fire her herself... these people are not professionals nor polite. Taylor was really nice but she just doesn't know how to do makeup at all. So I know this is really long but I tried calling to say to figure out everyone's name but they are close so bare with me I believe Melissa is the blonde girl so is set up to the left on the first Mirror and the Puerto Rican Rican girl is set up to the right in the middle mirror. read more

I had my hair "did" with Melissa Harvey yesterday, at the E Edgewood Dr location. She colored and highlighted, then trimmed and shaped it up. It came out better than anything I have had done in 40+ years. The shop is small, very clean, and not noisy. The other stylists were very friendly. I will be back, for sure! The girls are all very professional, and friendly. What makes them different, in my opinion, is the fact that they listen to my requests, but also give me ideas when it comes to style. I just came from my 11am appointment with Erinn, and it was above and beyond my expectations! This salon is absolutely incredible. All of the employees seem like one big family, and are always looking out for the customers. Erinn was very kind, funny, and talented. She did an incredible job on my hair and was there to hear every concern I had. She even gave me after care tips for healthy hair! She's so awesome, and so is the rest of the staff. I actually ended up trying out getting my eyebrows threaded for the first time instead of the wax I would get, and was very happy with the results! She did an incredible job on my eyebrows and was sure to get every stubborn hair. I can definitely say I'll be returning to the location on S. Florida Ave and would give this place 10/10! read more

This was my first visit, and I loved it! I got there around 5:15pm and they were able to take me as a walk-in. The girl who cut my hair (I believe her name was Pristina) was awesome. She was incredibly nice and quick. I'm totally satisfied with my cut and the service there. The shop itself is decorated well, with tool chests for storage for their products and tools. I went for a wedding consult and was treated like my time wasn't worth her time. While talking with the stylist the receptionist was staring at me and my kids (6yrs and 6months) with an unfavorable look that showed disapproval. While I was in mid-conversation with the stylist she answered my question with "you can go to my website for all of that information." This is why i thought I made an appointment was to be able to sit down face to face and have all of my answers/concerns answered. I felt rushed, and like my wedding was an inconvenience to her and the salon. I was informed that she had another paying customer waiting, and I could go online and get everything I needed..
